He's not REALLY articulate, he articulates himself at an average level. Sam Harris, Michael Dyson, Jordan Peterson. Those guys are REALLY articulate. Is he a great teacher, definitely! But it's hard not to think that you might have very low bar for people of darker skin tones. Because there's no cause to even mention his way of articulating, he's a normal speaking dude. Maybe your bar is just generally low?
Muay Thai fighters are smaller in comparison and heavyweights exist in kickboxing. Yes if, the wrestler takes you down it'll feel like getting hit by a bus but a well timed knee to the face from a Thai or kickboxer dude would knock the wrestler to oblivion.
Vivek Ramanan sure but the odds are in the wrestler s favor to just take you down and beat the shit out of you in side control. As soon as the wrestler gets ahold of the striker it’s over . Grapplers beat pure strikers 9 times out of 10
Agreed man. But a good takedown defense from the pure striker would be a nightmare for the wrestler( Conor against mendes). And a good striker would always know the distance management and would wreck the wrestler if his defense is shit.
Shane looking a little nervous... I know that feeling when you're facing an explosive powerful wrestler it's the 'oh he could pick me up like a sack of potatoes in the supermarket anytime he wants to' feeling. Oh and 'I'm a black-lete' lol!!! Dude is a great teacher - principles not techniques man... easy to remember - easy to put into practice whatever the situation.
Kelvin Liew hes a racist fool. There is a reason there is more white champs and top tens in every single fucking combat sport 😂😂 white guilt.of america creates myths and fools like this racist can talk bs like this without getting called out on it. Say that shit to karelin and see whats happend bubba blubba 😘
FIZZ TALES the only people that can teach you that technique are Khabib, Daniel Cormier, and Ben Askren, Ben Askren has pretty good wrestling vids on RUclips you could check out
Big Daddy 49-0 Rocky Marciano how are those 3 the only person who can teach you that style of take down. Khabib literally has a sambo style where he shoots for the single leg but he doesn’t drive his takedowns he latches on to the leg in hopes of setting up another takedown. Plenty of tutorials online
Big Narstie plenty of tutorials online from people that have either never been in a real fight or had an unsuccessful career, why on earth would you take advice from some average joe when you could learn from the best wrestlers of all time, Khabib and Ben Askren are undefeated professional fighters and raining champions, the dudes on the internet making videos are not reliable sources of information on combat sports and they would get dismantled by Khabib or Ben Askren, you want to learn from the master not from some apprentice
Big Daddy 49-0 Rocky Marciano if the “130 pound soy boys” techniques are correct and they provide guides similar to Khabibs takedowns then what’s the problem, the success of there career is irrelevant
Big Narstie still isn’t the same, and also no video is going to help you if you’re not actually wrestling, you could learn more from one day of actually doing it than watching 100 videos on youtube
This was an awesome intro to wrestling for me! We dont have a lot of high level wrestlers at my gym so this will be great to practice together. Bubba does a great job of explaining and breaking down techniques. Would love to see more from him! Great job as always Shane!
this has to be the greatest lesson on ur youtube channel Shane. his breakdown, attention to detail, use of examples and clear explanations help me so much, i learnt a similar philosophy with the power leg when i was practising Karate a while back... pls do more videos with this guy!!!
Bubba is such a good teacher. He's able to translate his knowledge and skill into layman speak in a way I can't think of many other martial arts trainers on RUclips can. More Jenkins please! I'd totally sign up to a full series by him!
Wonderful video Shane! My ground game and wrestling are not up to my striking game. These fundamentals show me how distance and footwork transfer while teaching me wrestling. Glad I am subscribed man!
So good learning techniques and fundamentals from the southpaw stance. I’m naturally right-hand dominant but my natural body stance is southpaw for engaging in any fighting so it’s good to see tutorials for people like myself
you guys are like jedi man. awesome teachers and totally understanding the concepts and principles behind body mechanics and how its applied. thanks mace windu and obi wan!
Shane, been watching your videos for awhile keep up the great work. Bubba is a fantastic teacher! I have no wrestling background but i found this video easy to follow and really interesting. More Bubba for sure...
This was awesome. Helps that I'm an ambidextrous southpaw. I've been meaning to get into MMA (from good ol boxing and some other martial arts) and this video will definitely help when the time to learn wrestling comes.
This guy is awesome ! I'm not that interested in wrestling (especially not catch-wrestling and BJJ) but Buba makes it so interesting and easy. Definitely would like to see more vids with him. I would be very interested in learning a few things in stand-up wrestling, like Judo takedowns, clinch and clinch takedowns, etc.
Get that guy on again, I love him. I love it when you do videos about the fundamentals and easy fighting mistakes people make; some of those are very easy to miss. Shane, by the way, do you do parkour? You did a video a little bit ago about mixing parkour with fighting. Have you considered collabing with a parkour artist, or doing more videos like that?
I like that you are bringing in experts from different disciplines. Thank you for the fight tips. Lol I am trying to get this info before my bully does. I am practicing too.
Amazing break down, admits he has a little bias, is very humble and knows exactly how to both show and explain everything perfectly. Would absolutely love to see more of this guy. He might be called the bad man, but shit if that ain't the nicest coolest dude to ever show wrestling entries I've ever seen.
YES! Pushing or driving off the ground. LOVE IT! When this pandemic thing is over, Bubba, if you're ever in the Bay Area, teaching either a seminar or private lessons, or both, I'm in.
I personally like wrestling cause i'm not that good at it as of now but working at gittin' better, i'm engaged with that aspect of mma more than striking and the ground (GSP fan here)..I come across questions while drilling, sparring and this lesson did clear certain things up for me in terms of aim leg, power leg and their details..Thanks Shane, would love to see more from Bubba J..
I'm glad he is coming back I'd be very interested in him looking at the styles within Wrestling. the commonly known ones are like Strong Style (Iowa) Funky Style (Ben Askren) and some others that are skipping my mind rightnow I'd love an in depth look at that! Also awesome would be any takedowns straight from collar/elbow tie up.
Aye, thanks for Bringing This Blacklete! Just from personal experience I was able to takedown my trainer with wrestling being my forte. Can you upload more set-ups as well as wrestling drills and how they apply to fights?
This not only help in MMA but also in BJJ. I'm a white belt who is seeking for learning how to take down with a proper move. Covid-19 made me laid off to be at home and do only punching tire, swiss ball and some workouts, no gym to go for a while, so I started learning boxing basics from here. Thank you for your lesson!
Very articulate guest. This was awesome. Wrestling I feel is often given the backseat to BJJ. Both are awesome martial arts.. but I'd like to hear more.
That's awesome. I think this would work for me better than the traditional having ur leading leg hit the mat to get low enough take down. Mostly what I do is just fight for underhooks, but I do wanna be better at Double Legs, my single legs aren't bad, but yeah, double leg takedowns, I do struggle with. So I'll be practicing that calf trigger technique u demonstrated in this video and see what happens.
Thank you for the breakdown. Trying to learn more about takedowns over here and your explanations are the best I’ve found on RUclips so far.
He's really articulate. Great teacher.
Smash Great There was really no need for that.
Big Member that’s what the op meant, oh look a black person who can speak past a 5th grade lvl
Stop projecting.
Lucas King not at all. I agree with you, he’s articulate for a black dude
This dude is amazing! Get him back on!
TheScott10012 yeah, I really enjoyed his explanation especially the other video with suplex break down.
He's cute too
Jesus loves you all share the gospel it’s worth it watch over everyone you care for and love
H’ELL IS REAL!!!! BE SAFEE
Yeh man
More on wrestling solo drills.
Please this
SlashoMighty do stance and motion
These wrestlers are so much bigger than muay thai and kickboxing dudes. If a wrestler takes you down it's like getting hit by a bus
Tim Boersma strength matters a lot in wrestling and grappling (especially the standup part).
99 percent of wrestlers lift weights.
Stoutier. Strikers are lankier.
Muay Thai fighters are smaller in comparison and heavyweights exist in kickboxing. Yes if, the wrestler takes you down it'll feel like getting hit by a bus but a well timed knee to the face from a Thai or kickboxer dude would knock the wrestler to oblivion.

Dannynorw that comment hurt you huh
or maybe he's training out of Blackhouse MMA gym?
Shane is more of a striker than grappler
James Que and I work out at Aryanhouse. Got problem with that?
learning was a breeze in this video he gives you all the important details that is sometimes overlooked. im a fan now
DUDE especially that’s he’s southpaw made it so much easier to understand for me
hey shane can you do some judo throw tutorials please :))))
la mok Would love to see that!
la mok yeaa
YESSSSSSSS!!!!!
Yeah yeah also teach us how to use batista bombs in mma
Bryan Noyola you sound sceptical about judo in mma
This guy is awesome ! Amazing teaching and coaching. He definitely knows what he's doing and breaks it down so well. Love this dude
Khabib style please I've been begging it like forever
FIZZ TALES the only people that can teach you that technique are Khabib, Daniel Cormier, and Ben Askren, Ben Askren has pretty good wrestling vids on RUclips you could check out

No it isn't. It is one of the worst tutorials on wrestling. The guy isn't even shooting properly
This guy is super informative and really takes his time to explain. Good video.
this has to be the greatest lesson on ur youtube channel Shane. his breakdown, attention to detail, use of examples and clear explanations help me so much, i learnt a similar philosophy with the power leg when i was practising Karate a while back... pls do more videos with this guy!!!

yes we need more not only for mma but for grappling too . i am bjj practitioner and i am really struggling to improve my takedowns
Fight tips has truly evolved over the years into something legendary ... congrats Shane !
Wonderful video Shane! My ground game and wrestling are not up to my striking game. These fundamentals show me how distance and footwork transfer while teaching me wrestling. Glad I am subscribed man!
This cleared up a lot of questions for me and my wrestling entries. Thanks for the information
Great instructions. Thanks bad man. Love that Bubble, Aim, and Power Leg concepts.
I love this bubble teacher!! he's amazing!!
I like that dude. He explains it so well. I love to see more videos with more wrestling moves and scrambles.
Awesome video. Thanks for making it. I'm just starting out in wrestling for MMA and this is very helpful.
This dude definately teaches a lot. Has a comparitive example for every step.
Yeah, I was blown away with his ease and ability.
Thank you so much for this breakdown. Such a well explained technique while keeping it simple. 10/10 breakdown.
thanks a lot!!!!! great step by step.... I look foward to see more of you and Bubba, and solid/basic wrestling moves!
This video is amazing since I've been trying to up my fight game by not only boxing but also trying to wrestle
Great coach and very technical! Learned more in 8n minutes that i can put to use grappling than most topics I watch online
Amazing instruction. One of your best guests!
I love these wrestling vids plus bubba is brilliant! Keep up the good work
Wow, I've been doing grappling for more than 3 years and this is the first time I've heard such principles.
This will help me always seem to be very hesitant but watching this gives me a better format to work with cheers !
Cool stuff my man
Shane, been watching your videos for awhile keep up the great work. Bubba is a fantastic teacher! I have no wrestling background but i found this video easy to follow and really interesting. More Bubba for sure...

Bubba is awesome!!!
He explains everything so well.
Great personality too.
This was GOLD! Hugely helpful.
This was awesome. Helps that I'm an ambidextrous southpaw. I've been meaning to get into MMA (from good ol boxing and some other martial arts) and this video will definitely help when the time to learn wrestling comes.
Fantastic my dude. Bubba was great. Thank you both for your insight.
Ive been waiting for this video, thank you shane

Shane, by the way, do you do parkour? You did a video a little bit ago about mixing parkour with fighting. Have you considered collabing with a parkour artist, or doing more videos like that?
Great video with good details for basic takedowns:) Loved it!
This guy has a KNACK for teaching, everything he says is so easy to absorb and each note builds upon the last. Very good tutorial.
This thing helped me with my wrestling class thanks bro
Class video, great breakdown, killing it guys!
YEAH!!😁
I like that you are bringing in experts from different disciplines. Thank you for the fight tips. Lol I am trying to get this info before my bully does. I am practicing too.

This is great to people that wrestled in high school and need a refresher.
Definitely one of the better guest on the show. Thank you
Amazing break down, admits he has a little bias, is very humble and knows exactly how to both show and explain everything perfectly. Would absolutely love to see more of this guy. He might be called the bad man, but shit if that ain't the nicest coolest dude to ever show wrestling entries I've ever seen.
Thank you Bubba! Awesome video! I would love you to cover how to use the underhook and the overhook
Just started grappling. This helps a ton. Thanks!

I personally like wrestling cause i'm not that good at it as of now but working at gittin' better, i'm engaged with that aspect of mma more than striking and the ground (GSP fan here)..I come across questions while drilling, sparring and this lesson did clear certain things up for me in terms of aim leg, power leg and their details..Thanks Shane, would love to see more from Bubba J..
this is great stuff like always. thank you guys 🤼 😀
Shane, you get the best coaches your channel. Bubba Jenkins, Erin Herle, etc... All amazing instructors.
I love his teaching style!
Very helpful video. Thank you. Please bring him back!
Thank you for the tips man.
This is amazing please more wrestling MMA tutorials
Channel growing nicely Shane! Great job
Most important tip:
lead leg: aim leg
Trail/back leg: trigger/power leg
Aye, thanks for Bringing This Blacklete! Just from personal experience I was able to takedown my trainer with wrestling being my forte.
Can you upload more set-ups as well as wrestling drills and how they apply to fights?
Dope video!!! Keep the great content up 👍👍
Love this guy! He's a great teacher
Would love to see Bubba talk about moving from wrestling into submissions and striking some more. Great video!
Excellent teacher. Great explanation 👍
Excellent teaching ! Thanks from From France !
This not only help in MMA but also in BJJ. I'm a white belt who is seeking for learning how to take down with a proper move. Amazing concepts, like to see more stuff like this. Didn't see the outside take down(One pointing towards Shane's rare leg right leg takedown).
Really good teacher, I like the breakdowns.I will keep watching.
sick how you got bubba jenkins on fighttips! nice one shane
Awesome video thanks for sharing!
Thanks Bubba! I’ll be moving back to LA soon and look forward to training some at Black House.
Great advice. Explained very well
Very very very GOOD

More of this guy please, he's awesome
Hes' got a good way of breaking it all down. Good Job!
So technical 😭 I love it!
