I only discovered her about 18 months ago. Stunned by her sterling technique/control, amazing performance choices, songwriting/storytelling. Calls herself a songwriter with a voice. Fluent and writes in French, English, Italian and Spanish.

Lara Fabian is incredible! She is THE voice!
I've had some messages about 'cutting in the middle of phrases' and that I should 'show respect'.
I think that I 100% showed in this video that I respect Lara Fabian, her technique, her artistry and this whole performance.
When I am giving reactions it is more out of sheer excitement and passion to share my thoughts and opinions while they are in my head in the moment. I don't want to miss anything. That is the aim of this channel. To analyse and positively deconstruct.
I appreciate what some people have said. But the tone of which it was said on here was not acceptable and not the positive and open community I want to have and encourage here. An open platform to positively and constructively talk about VOICE, Technique and Review our favourite artists.
I am new to this, so yes, I am getting used to editing and putting together the videos. I want them to be enjoyable and not too long. Unfortunately, sometimes that means I have to cut out a section. I DID watch the whole video when reacting I PROMISE, I just try and fit as much REACTION content in as possible. I'm French and a big fan of this singer, but also of the woman she is😍! When she does something, she does it thoroughly! She sings with her voice, her body and her soul🎤🎶! no one sings like Lara! what annoys me a little is when people compare her to Celine Dion🙄! Lara is a whole person and not a copy of someone else 😉! Lara is (was?) the epitome of intensity. No matter what type of song she's singing, she's into it 100% and more somehow.
Nowadays, she's more subtle in her performances, but that ear (late 90s/early 2000s) she was slaying everything. That whole concert is a gem. Besides this song, Je suis Malade and You're not from here that have already been suggested, you will probably enjoy her performances of Perdere l'Amore, Caruso and Broken Vow (which rendition during that concert is probably the best one, in my book anyway, by Lara). Also she's gorgeous (subjective I know) and a wonderful human being.

Lara is a pearl of sensitivity with great human and heart qualities. Her voice is celestial and unique, we can talk about "Perfection" and "Pure sound vibration". For me, she is far above all the others famous female singers. Just sharing, right now the you tube is saturated with so many reactions to her epic performances (Je Suis Melade, Adagio, Broken Vow and their likes), I do not know if its worth to react to one of her lesser known duets (Nathalia and Lara Fabian 2016) and then maybe both of you could explain to the viewers the dynamics of a duet at the same time this song will be of a great help in introducing her other less known performance to the viewers. No one has reacted to this song yet, and its not part of her songs in her albums. The song may have been performed inside a studio?, and in black and white presentation. The song is so catchy and their performance seemed to give life and power to this very beautiful song. It was sung both in French and English. Can you please react to my favorite singer, Faouzia (Foe-Zee-Uh) please? She has her own songs and the stripped versions are insane. She also has done many covers- on RUclips or on tiktok(a compilation). You should react to her. Also, she's Moroccan-canadian so her voice is very unique. Shes only 20 and has never had any vocal training.

She took the incomplet melody of this 2 centuries song and wrote a lyrics in English and Italian (please, check ir out ter Italian version which is better in my opinion) That's how Adagio starts in her hands (Lara's version), back in 1999. Both versions in English and Italian. She is able to hold this ending note over 17 seconds. She just did it for 8 seconds here, which was pretty much easy for her. But too hard for many of our mainstream singers.
PS: Lara is too methodic, too professional as an artist/performer/ to go beyond her vocal limits, she goes near the edge and come back. Some people like this particular way of hers, some would like to see how could be if she dared much more.... beyond her limits. But, she already said something like that:I just couldn't do what is unhealthy much to my body, I prefer being healthy singing properly.
Plus. What about the resonant in teu closed vowel in "Make Me Believe"?! So professional, high level, beautifuly done. She has been singing this way since 1986. Belting with a master breathing and resonance thecnic C5 in chest/mixed voice over 16 seconds, E5 chest/mixed voice longer than 12 seconds. Trust me, this isn't one of her hasdest songs. ;) She is vocal classic trained at The Royal Conservatory of Brussels for 10 years (8 to18) where she learned piano, guitar, bel canto... She composes in 4 languages since her teenage years, and she already released songs in 12 languages. There are vídeos on RUclips showing her language versatility skills.
She is 51 years and has starded singing professionaly in 1986 (when she released her first album and video clipe in Belgium), but ter worldwild album only came in 1990.

Lara doesn't have a "Celine quality" she has a Lara Fabian quality! Yes...some similarities but more differences than similarities! Probably best to avoid comparisons in future reactions...

I did say she has a more fuller sound than Celine. Definitely more differences than similarities but I just said what I heard in the moment. Just observations. 👍

@@nowthen.4363 I liked your reaction. My suggestion applies to all future reactions you have regardless of the singer. When you react to someone, try to react to what you are listening to or seeing and don't compare to others! Some may find it annoying. For myself, it annoys me when people compare Lara to Celine or Dimash....maybe that's just me. Seeing that you are a vocal coach, maybe you should probably just concentrate on the talent you are examining...just a suggestion..."she sounds like this person", "she looks like that person" isn't very fair to who Lara is as an artist
@@mjcole12 Hey Michael, there will be times where I will make similarities between artists. We are all vocally influenced by other artists as we develop our own styles.
I will however try to do this in a positive way. I won’t compare artists against each other just touch upon artists who have similar placements or styles.
In this situation I know Lara is an artist in her own right and developed her own vocal style without necessarily being influenced by others. I should have however just commented on the forward placement which is of a similar sound to Celine.
Also, people hearing Lara for the first time, may pick up those similarities.
I will try my best not to mention Celine in anymore Lara videos 😉 promise!
