This is beautiful... I have been bullied for 7 years now going on 8... I have hid everything from everyone. I even when in hiding with my voice... The only voice I heard was my mind. I did it for 5 years at school until I knew that even doing it, nothing would change... I lost all of my friends except for a very special friend I had since first grade. The first thing I had said to any one at school for 5 years was,"I dont think ill make it out today alive... I need help." At this point I didnt know who to turn too I was only in 5th grade at the time and she has helped me so much. I even made new friends and have gotten my confidence back. I talk like there is no tomorrow and I stand up a lot for myself. This might be a long story but it feels good getting it out of my head. But anyway this is a really good song that just makes me think about my past and how I use to be.

I've been in love with this song since the first time i heard it. Never thought i would meet someone who fits this song so much. She is a very kind person but misunderstood by others because she built this high walls to protect her heart from being hurt. I know she has such a vulnerable and fragile heart, i want to help her just like she did to me but there are too many misunderstandings between us. I don't think we can fix it. Because she was too tired and i was too demanding. Avoidant attachment versus anxious attachment. We would never make it. I hope she will find someone who can break her walls and save her from her own trap. Someone who will treat her right, as a bestfriend or any other relationship forms she deserves.

I imagine that this song is about a little girl escaping her abusive house. "War that's inside," could be her parents fighting. "When all she is and ever was is compromised," is her being ignored or passed up. "You're screaming out because no one survived," is that the parents were taken to jail, which is almost like dying.
