I know you may feel you will never get over him right now. I never thought I'd get over my ex, but it's been two years and I'm doing so much better and realizing I have much to live for, and that self love is important. I promise you things will get better. Give it time, everyone heals in a different manner and I know you said you've tried a lot of things but sometimes it takes some time to find that motivation and that's okay. But in time venting often helps with the right people, and eventually finding some new hobbies or watching a show that makes you laugh when you think you're ready, writing your feelings of anger, sorrow, etc. also helps, talking to a therapist personally helped me because it was a traumatic year for me. I really hope you feel better, don't give up hope okay? I know I'm a stranger but just know someone cares. I'm really sorry you went through this, I hope for the best and really try to keep your faith, it'll be worth it. Happiness passes yes, but so does sadness. Everyday i cry in my bed at night and it is the only time when i can cry out all my pain and then the next day i have to put a fake smile on and hold my tears inside and its so difficult but i still have to do it. the amount of physical and emotional pain i feel when i hear this song is insane. i doubt anyone will see this comment, and it'll get lost in a sea of infinite comments similar to mine, but it hurts. everything hurts. i've been hurting for 8 straight months and despite everyone telling me it's going to get better, it hasn't. i attempted suicide a few weeks ago. i got admitted into a mental hospital. all because i got cheated on by my person, the person i thought was it. my soulmate. he just left - how is it possible to just leave after the endless i love you's and kisses, hugs, and promises. he promised me. i've tried to distract myself, with hobbies, with songs, with other people even. but nothing fills this void in my heart. i don't know what to do anymore.
edit: thank you for the support. i just returned from an almost three month stay at a residential treatment center far away from my home to help with my suicidal thoughts. i'm still struggling, but i'm working every day to minimize the pain. i saw him for the first time in six months a few days ago, and wow, every horrible feeling i've ever felt came crashing down on me. but i'm still standing. to everyone that can relate - i'm so sorry. i would NEVER wish this amount of pain that i've been through on anyone else. we will make it through. heartbreak isn't the end.

I lowkey understand how you feel though, I fell in love with someone completely toxic for me and I was manipulated and "gaslighted" so much shit, and it hurt SO bad. When we broke up I didn't want to be here anymore and hated life yet I'm OK now but it changed my life forever. I promise you, suicide is not a permanent solution to a temporary problem. I know you may feel you will never get over him right now. I never thought I'd get over my ex, but it's been two years and I'm doing so much better and realizing I have much to live for, and that self love is important. I promise you things will get better. Give it time, everyone heals in a different manner and I know you said you've tried a lot of things but sometimes it takes some time to find that motivation and that's okay. But in time venting often helps with the right people, and eventually finding some new hobbies or watching a show that makes you laugh when you think you're ready, writing your feelings of anger, sorrow, etc. also helps, talking to a therapist personally helped me because it was a traumatic year for me. I really hope you feel better, don't give up hope okay? I know I'm a stranger but just know someone cares. I'm really sorry you went through this, I hope for the best and really try to keep your faith, it'll be worth it. Happiness passes yes, but so does sadness.
