This song in my understanding looks like a story about a girl who wishes to be immortal but soon struggles with all her experiences and hardships for many years.
This song reminds me of the very first story I read on fear street where the main lead is evil and involves in dark magic and become immortal. I don't remember the story but I remember that his family was wiped by some other family so he wants revenge and he even targets their descendents had a girlfriend made her immortal too. In order to get his revenge he befriends and gets into a relationship with a desendent girl from the family who killed his family but then the immortal gf helps the girl and at the end of the story they end up breaking the spell and killing him. The immortal girl dies too. The descendent girl remain alive. The dude who was immortal last name and family is fear.

I'm going to interpret this as being about someone who chooses to have kids at a young age in order to try to stay young/with the youth culture and to create a lasting legacy/people that look like a younger version of you. I know my mom had me when she was 19 for many of those same reasons. Stuck in toxic relationships, having too many kids too young and passing on generational trauma as she's stuck constantly in the mindset of when she was 19 and first started having kids. Un. She was told at 15 she was infertile so she was literally trying to fight the science too. But now she isn't able to really escape or admit that she never actually wanted them in the first place, let alone her attachment to my dad or stepdad and how much it stripped away all the potential out of her life and her personal growth. And she did always caution me against having kids myself, especially at a young age. Very college and stable relationship first kids coming after actually having adult life figured out kind of thing. (though I doubt I'll ever have any myself) So that's kinda the lens I'm looking at it through
