    Hi Gord. You read my mind. As I was rewatching some of your prior videos earlier today I was wondering when you might do a video on getting the camera ready for use on the Bolt. Yet another wonderful and instructive walkthrough. Thank you so much. I have a Mac so I appreciate that you are addressing items for the Apple side of things. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my Thunder Bolt-it’s supposed to arrive at the shipping hub this Thursday. I am hoping it can be delivered shortly thereafter. I will be revisiting most of the videos on your channel as I get set up and start to make things. Can’t wait to see your next one!!!

      That's great Sharon! Congrats! Thank you for your comments. I wish you the very best. Please keep in touch in the comments and let me know how it is going. I can tell you, and I do not get paid for this, but I spent 7-9 months researching lasers before I bought the BOLT, and it has honestly exceeded my expectations. It is quite a remarkable desktop laser. I hope you enjoy it too. Cheers!

    This is the best thus far I have found for installing the camera but I have a nova 35 and the flash drive doesn’t have camera settings. I’m at a lost with this camera. 🤦🏼‍♀️

      Good morning - I would give Thunder Support a call. Not sure if you are in Canada, but here, they provide support for life. I wish I could help further. Best of luck!

      Why do you need the Ethernet AND USB cable attached to your laptop??
      And thank you for doing a Mac specific video - I feel this is an oversight by many

      @@CoffeeJake Morning Jake! The Thunder Laser USA knowledge base has videos and related info on connecting to a MAC computer to the BOLT. Chris' video(s) and related info say that there are connectivity issues when trying to use the regular USB cable to connect to a MAC and strongly recommends not to use USB, but rather to use the Ad HOC Direct connect method using the ethernet cable for the main connection to the BOLT. But the camera requires the USB connection so you will need both to connect successfully with an Apple computer. I also did a video on how to do the Ad HOC ethernet connection ( I think I put a link to it during this video in the top right corner at some point) or you can find it on my channel homepage. Hope that is helpful. Cheers!

    THANK GOODNESS FOR YOUR VIDEO! I was wondering why I couldn't move my camera lens. I'm having a really hard time removing the blue silicone tho. Can you please share how you removed yours?

    • @LaserNUG
      @LaserNUG  4 дня назад

      Good morning Grace. I didn't have to remove it - my picture is in clear focus so I left the blue stuff on. I would have thought you could just peel it off with your fingernail but perhaps send in a ticket to your Thunder Laser support folks and ask them, just in case. If your picture isn't clear or in focus, then perhaps ask them to help you through the manual focus process. I believe we have lifetime support on the BOLT. Cheers and good luck!

    I’ve been watching all your videos!!! They are excellent w MAC
    Just now hooking up camera I moved that box to see bigger and lost my camera box that was on right?

    • @LaserNUG
      @LaserNUG  Месяц назад +1

      Thanks! If you moved it out into the main area of the screen, then grab that box and drag it back to the right side and if you hold it there for a few seconds, it will highlight and sit into your right hand tool bar when you let go of it. My Mac is old so it took about 20 seconds before it highlighted. Does that help?

      I went to windows and got cuts and layers over there up top but just laser will show now and adding the camera check it’s only a pop up not embedded to the top right before I moved it to the bed screen to blow up

      @@LaserNUGit just worked!! Thanks NUG not to focus and finish this camera setup. I don’t have MDF but some acrylic I do w my 8x11 business flyer. Will that work to complete this step w acrylic?

      @@michaelchant4102 I am not sure Michael. But if perhaps you have some plywood? I am not sure but acrylic might be reflective (?) If you have a flat piece of cardboard, then use that ( I just provided my settings for cardboard in the video I released yesterday. I think cardboard would be better than acrylic.
