Back in the 1950's (perhaps earlier) guys would have short lengths of pipe welded to the exhaust pipes before the muffler. On the end of those pipes would be a flange. A metal plate would be bolted to the flange, so the exhaust gases would continue through to the muffler and tailpipe. Once the car or truck owner got to the drag-strip or out in the country, they would crawl under the car and unbolt the metal plates. These pipe and flange additions were called "cut-outs'. They still make cut-outs to this day, except that an electric motor now rotates a butterfly valve to open up the cut-outs!
I think it still sounds very nice in "quiet" mode. Definitely more growl than stock exhaust any way. Really turns into a beast in "loud" mode. Very nice exhaust, good video 👍

Great work on the exhaust install, very clean and professional! I remember the last time I installed an exhaust system (on my old Ecoboost Mustang), ended up with cuts, bruises, and bitten by a bunch of bugs from laying on the garage floor. Worst thing is that the exhaust system that I installed didn't fit right (poor quality exhaust from MBRP) and I had to drive it to an exhaust shop the next day to get it fixed up so it looks good.😁

Great job Brian. The new system looks great. That sound is pure perfection! I love the titanium tips, especially with the blue! Sounds just awesome! Love it! 👍🔥
Possible. It depends if the back side is the right diameter with the new pipe. I think this kit and others have larger tips. And the new tips have larger back sides to slide onto them.

The Armytrix is still a good system. But it’s more expensive and doesn’t flow as good. And the tips don’t come in real titanium. So I’m really happy with the AAM!
Does anyone here know why when I install the armytrix exhaust system to my 2019 Nissan GT-R from the y pipe all the way back and start the car and it’s showing warning system malfunction and won’t let accelerate pass 40 mile per hour thank in advance
I think that year GTR has a factory active exhaust. Something might have messed with that factory system goin aftermarket. Or maybe the vacuum lines you installer weren't done correctly and there is a leak
Hey Bro. I'm straight pipe with no resonators at mid or rear pipe. To loud for me. Would u recommend installing the stock mid pipe? Or aftermarket exhaust in the rear.?
Honestly put on an active muffler like this. That way you can have the fun loud car and a stock quiet car. Best of both. But A stock muffler would tone everything down. Im sure a stock midpipe would do a lot too. But then your restricting a lot of the exhaust. If your tuned, thats probably not the best route
I still have the Armytrix downpipes and midpipe with this kit. No sense in changing those since there's no difference between a catless downpipe from different companies lol
