Trivium is the 21st century band that is awesome to the point that they totally deserve to bear the torch passed by the old titans of metal, like Metallica.
It is overall very much like early to mid 2000s metalcore, in which both BFMV and Ascendancy fit the bill. My first thought was The Poison by BFMV, definitely also a throwback to the Ascendancy style.
I swear to god, the beginning of this solo is a "look like" lick from my own composition ! 😂 (And there are 2 others on this album with similarities from mine..) I sent a message to Matt, but he will never see it.. Ahahah fuck.
My favorite song of the (AMAZING) new album along with Amongst the shadows and the stones. Trivium is so outrageously talented, inspired and consistent, what a band. This album is a journey, so many feelings, so many styles and yet the quality is through the roof. Alex Bent is GODSEND.

I'm just in awe of each and every one of their talents on their instruments and what they are doing as a band. True professionals, doing what they want but also bringing us fans what we want. Great melodies, screams, jams and in your face metal. Love it.
