Hi. I’ve been subscribed for a while but finally have gotten around to watching your videos. Starting with chapter 1. So far I’m loving the vibe and seeing all the work you are doing. I think it’s really special to have a workbench that once belonged to your grandfather, you can think of him and see his old marks when working on your projects. ❤
I just found your channel today, so I've binge watched every video. The house , land & views are gorgeous. Love the calmness of the videos with no constant monologue, so peaceful. Wishing you every success! Watching from the UK.
I’m enjoying your channel and watching the progress little by little. I have the desire to buy and renovate a place here, until then I live vicariously through others 😊 I love the beginning stage when there seems to be a mountain of work and endless potential. If you ever feel comfortable to say hi to the camera, would be great to hear your voice. I love Swedish accent and how the language sounds - but if not, I understand, and your editing is great, very peaceful and interesting.
Love the workbench it’s always nice having something a family member used and cherished. Wondering how many acres you have and if you’ll be getting animals to help keep the grass down after watching your cut the grass down?
It looks like it's going to be an interesting adventure. But I'm so invested seeing this place change. Doing projects like this requires a lot of hard work and patience, so I do admire your thrive to do almost everything by yourself👏. Sometimes getting in big projects I loose my motivation and it's hard to keep going...so what motivates you? How to overcome the fear of self doubt and keep going? Best of luck from N.Ireland 🇨🇮🙌
My Husband and i went to Scotland this Summer on the Hebrides and on the Island Sky and there where also many many mosquitoes and we must wearing special mask to protect your self against those little creatures ! My Father and Grandfather cutting the grass in the same way you are doing it, a bit off nostalgia for me ! And Yes electricity !!!!
The whole style of filming, editing, choice of music reminds me a lot of a guy from the netherlands who is renovating an old cabin down there in the italian alps :) But why not…
❤ I love the house and Barn , Beautiful wood, and the way you clean and tidy as you go ! what does the Cellar look like inside? Love your videos, no annoying voice distractions, following you from Nee Zealand, and look forward to watching your progress
I wish my buildings were at this stage too.😅its nice to see transformation. I have a similar project on my hands here in Finland. It is satisfying to see when things start coming together.
Hope you can handle all the advice and opinions you tube audience is going to throw at you…..I am not going to say a word …..if I can help it…..beautiful place!
Have watched epicodes 1-4. And have a few questions. In episode 3 we csn see another house to the right of the barn, looking from the house. How much land do you have? Does the neighbor live there full time? Nice thick timbers in the walls. But it doesn't look like there is any insulation in the ceiling. Is this common practice? Lupins are invasive in your area? Yet the use of lupin flour, beans are on the rise. Is it a different species? Maybe you could address some of these observations in future postings. Thanks.
I’ve caught up with your videos 🎉great content and beautiful homestead. I’m intrigued, would it not be easier to reverse on your land , that way when it comes to heavy goods to/from the van it’s easier for you? Female perspective 🙃perhaps I’m overthinking this 🤭Can’t wait for next update, take care.
Beautiful workbench; maybe a little too low for you, but nothing that pieces of wood could fix! The red colour you use for the house is a particular "swedish red"?
The red color is a special color called "Faluröd", it comes (originally at least) from a mine in the city of Falun in Sweden. Most old houses were painted with this color, and the details around windows and doors etc in white. Still today the most standard color of Swedish houses is red and white, but it´s not always Faluröd anymore, other red colors are also used.
20:06 Hi. Does this do anything to the wood. I mean the properties of Falurod used to protect the exterior; I think I heard this on another account I follow - Roaming wild Rosie - it’s so interesting to hear these tidbits 😊.
@@KymKit I follow Rosie too, I like her very much; this land reminds me a lot hers! I don't know if this paint protects the wall more than any kind of paint; the colour is just traditional; where I live they were used to paint houses with paint left from the boats, maybe there is this kind of story there?
If I can give you some advice. I’m watching other homesteaders video from all over the world. Do not take a long shot of one task, like painting the wall of your house, or taking the wallpaper down. People will loose interest of watching your videos if one thing takes too long. This is just my opinion. Otherwise I like what you do and how you do it! You have a beautiful house!
I think people enjoy watching the process, it makes them feel a part of it, instead of skipping to the end result. It's a journey of discovery and learning, perhaps for people watching as well as for Marcus. Great work!! ♥️
And it's that people do things how they think it should be done. It adds onto the uniqueness of the channel, in the sea of people trying to copy other popular channels.
Very relaxing to watch you renovating. Only your scything technique puts me a bit on the edge ;-) Maybe have a look here once you have wifi in your cabin: ruclips.net/video/uSgeOjdqEpQ/видео.html Good luck with everything! Looking forward to see you showing us the winter coming.
I love that there's no talking! The background sounds are nice and calming.
So happy to find gems like this before they get big :)
Thank! Glad you like it!
Me too!

Jag är glad att jag hittade den här kanalen. Väldigt intressant att följa dig och renoveringen, och så himla bra filmat och redigerat med.
I love the old workbench!
...it's universal...guys don't need instructions...👍😁🤣🤣❤

Beautiful photography and amazing drone shots.
Thank you very much!
The work bench and the old tools are amazing, and still useful.👍
what a beautiful region ❤
Det finns särskilda , typ plåster på apoteket att köpa mot mygg å knott ! 👍🤩

You need a strimmer for the garden much easier 😊
So much noise!

But why not…
Martijn Doolaard
Its pretty much a copycat of Martijn.
@@kattihatt But it works?! Channel is growing. Martijn is a trendsetter 🙂
@@ralfmatulat why would i care if the channel is growing? I just want good videos.

I love slow living, but not that slow. Good Lucy from Denmark.
Will you be painting the white trim also? It looks so much better with the red paint on it. I like the charm of this cabin.

16:18 i like the old screws.
Knowing that your winters are long and freezing I would seriously be looking into filling that wood shed, who wants to run out and go cold
You're a good lad.
I know this maybe a silly question but what are you going to do in the winter? Following you from Canada .
Hope you can handle all the advice and opinions you tube audience is going to throw at you…..I am not going to say a word …..if I can help it…..beautiful place!
😂
You will find soon enough that you will want to increase the solar capability. Been there, done that 😄
Good luck from somewhere in Småland!
7:21 Funny to see a bird entering under the tiles to the left....
Ojojoj vilken vacker stuga du har, och miljön är alldeles oslagbar. Vacker Svensk landskap.🍀👍(där trivs man som bäst)
Tack så mycket. Ja man trivs riktigt bra där!

Thank you! Yeah, that's probably a better thing to do. I guess I'm used to driving in normally so that's why I do it.
Yes, I wondered why as well.

Yeah I need to raise it up. It's a bit too low right now

@@TheMeli93 Thanks a lot for this answer!
Let me help you! 😍
You would haver better bought yourself an Ecoflow. At least you could plug in your machinery and charge your phone with that and its portable.
Well done 👍 question where you keep the ladder is that an old window? It needs painting 😊
