    I forgot to answer one question in the video. The question was Are you planning to have animals? This is a simple answer. No, I’m not. Or at least that’s the most likely at the moment. I’m vegan so I don’t need it as a food source. If I do get animals it would purely be from a social perspective.

    • @kattihatt
      @kattihatt 10 месяцев назад +5

      Good job being vegan, me too!

    • @Helle876
      @Helle876 10 месяцев назад +2

      Perhaps not only from a social perspective: they would also provide manure and keep pastures open.

      @@Helle876 why is it so important to keep pastures open?

      @@kattihatt Some plants die out when it overgrows, it's meant to be eaten and turned into manure to give back energy to the ground, but pretty pointless to have animals if you vegan and not living there permanent, someone need to take care of them.
      Another way is to burn, especially around the ditches "safest" this will help alot of plants like wild strawberrys.
      We opened up our little forest for our neighbours cows, they helped alot to turn it into a forest again. Alot of strawberrys and blueberrys appeared again. Forest's die out if nobody is there to turn the ground up and controll spieces that grow faster then others.

    Thank You for sharing your information about yourself and your cabin. Some of what you sharded is most likely none of our business as I feel you are a bit of a private person. That said - I must admit since first findind and keeping up with your progress with the cabin, I have often wondered what you as a young person (I am 74 years old) did for employment and what gives you enjoyment. I see you like old things and have great pleasure restoring back to renewed life. That is in a way respectful of old. I enjoy seeing your channel and now enjoy it even more, knowing more about you as a person over watching a person just doing something. Once again Thank You for sharing about yourself. I live in the USA state of Texas and enjoy seeing how other people live in far away places. We are all very much alike all over the World.

    Very interesting. This will be an awesome summer getaway for you your entire life. Just keep plugging away, let the house tell you what it needs, you have time. We have remodeled eight houses and I prefer to enjoy the ride rather than focus too much on end goals.

    I started following your journey at the beginning. You didn't talk at all back then. I wondered if you even spoke English at all. Well, now I know that your English is excellent, and your work ethic far exceeds my own on any given day. Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us. Truly special in every sense of the word.

    This was great Marcus. Thanks for answering questions and giving us a better view into your life and plans. I love that you're taking it slow and that you have no one to report to or take directions from. It gives you so much more freedom doesn't it?! Look forward to what you're able to find out about the history of your cabin. So much you can hopefully learn.

    Great to hear more of your story! I live just north of London and have a Swedish mother and English father… when you first spoke it was refreshing to heat your UK accent… so often US English accents pervade! Also, as a lockdown project, I built a bastu in my garden… so important to make things with your hands. Keep up the great work!

Très bonne démarche avec les anciens propriétaires . Bonne continuation et bon courage.💚

    Is there no other compartment on the stove to make fire using larger pieces of wood? We had a wood cooking stove when i was a kid and we could put larger pieces of wood into it so it would last longer. May have been because it was a different type of stove.

    • @MarcusStorm
      @MarcusStorm  9 месяцев назад +1

      There is a bigger one on the left side. But that's for when you have the wood stove connected to the radiators. If you don't have water in the system you might damage it

    You have a really good English accent, I am Swedish and find that most Swedes (including me), even if perfectly fluent in English, have quite an accent. I'm not sure I would be able to tell you're Swedish if you hadn't told us.
    I really agree about wood carving and being able to see and hold what you're making. I want to get into it but haven't so far (I own a dremel that's barely used), but I've been sculpting for nine years, and I love it because it's a three-dimensional, physical object you're creating.
