Alright people. When I said I would pay to see a movie like this I meant this trailer. This exact trailer extended into a 2 1/2 hour epic cgi film. Everything about, and in this trailer in a movie. The graphics (because this shits on any other cgi trailer or film I've ever seen), the characters like Geralt and this witch (because she foine) and the whole world of The Witcher.
Watching this trailer just over a year ago was what finally convinced me to buy this game. 262 hours of playing later, I just finished Blood and Wine in NG+. My path is complete.
Everyone keeps talking about how good this LOOKS, undeniably true, but focus on how great it SOUNDS. The Bruxa's song in the beginning and end, with the violin in the middle. Fucking incredible.
It has been a while since a game managed to get us this hyped. Everything is artistically well done and hopefully when we play this it lives up to expectations.

So this is happening after the end of the witcher 3, he come back to kill her, "times have changed". This is the first time i see a pre-launch teaser trailer that answer questions for after the last extension of a game. CD Project really deserve respect. She even sing the song from the menu... this is proof that dlc planned way ahead of the launch can be good if the devs are not lazy scum.

Hollywood really needs to pay attention to the cinematic trailers they are absolutely phenomenal. If they would allow the scriptwriters and directors for these video game cinematic trailers to actually do some movie directions we could actually get a decent movie out there

I like how this trailer is fully based on actual mechanics of the game, for example the moon dust bomb or the potion that deals damage to vampires when they hurt Geralt.

The witcher 3 is an eternal game, a timeless masterpiece from history to graphics to music (I still remember the soundtrack of skellige, not to mention that of novigrad or velen, they are all masterful pieces). in this game everything is close to perfection (apart from the Combat system, which I really appreciated). I mean, I finished this game a few weeks ago (including all the dlc's) and I am constantly homesick for skellige, for Toussaint .... the witcher 3 has been an epic journey, which I will never forget.
If you haven't played Witcher 1 or 2 (like me), I think reading the Witcher books adds a lot of background and history to Witcher 3 that may have been learned in the first two games. The books are easy and quick reading and actually portray Geralt and the other main characters in a slightly different light than in the game. That's just my opinion and I'm wondering if others think the same. I've enjoyed Witcher 3 a great deal and was sad to see it end, but I don't want to play again in order to get a different ending. I'm satisfied with "my" ending :-) P.S. I didn't come across this nasty maiden during my play-through. Lots of various female, floating creatures but no one that I fought in a small barn.

Not really. There are some references to the earlier games but you can go without them. I personally didn't play 1 or 2 but I still understood 3 w quite well.
i guess it depends on choreagraphy, i remember watching blizzard cutscenes, and cant shake how awesome they are, maybe its becoz theyre so brief, but if youve seen the recent protoss trailer, i just feel if its like that but just expanded, that video game movie would be awesome as hell. i remember loving advent children, its because the characters themselves are like the ones in videogames, but had they done that with live actors, it probably wouldnt have the same appeal, but then again, i hear there are people who hated advent children, so im not sure the general consensus on how good that movie is. full cgi also means unrealistic combat is more acceptable as its animation anyways, so they can go over the top, unlike live actors with cgi fight scenes.
i just beat this game a couple weeks ago and i have to give it a 10/10. everything about it was amazing, if you are thinking about getting this game then i definitely would, i played on PC on medium settings and i have a 1000 dollar gaming laptop and if i played any higher than that it lagged
Mikko Laaksoharju Even I was upset around 5 years ago for not having a PC that could run games at least at medium settings. So I saved pretty hard in 2008 and bought it. It is still running good running current gen games well. Only thing I changed is graphic card to gtx560 in early 2012 i guess.

I just love how everything in this cineamtic is canon. Moon dust followed by black blood potion to deal with vampyre = most effective in game to kill it.
Something that's been bugging me since playing the Blood and Wine DLC is that Regis expressly informs you that only a vampire can kill another vampire permanently. It's why you need his help to defeat Detlaff. It's the reason they say Witchers don't accept contracts on higher vampires. So if that's the case, then there's several vampires I defeated in Oxenfurt, Velen, and Novigrad, that are still on the loose. Not to mention all the ones you fight in Toussaint. Even assuming this only applies to higher vampires, and not the lesser vampires, then the Novigrad city coroner who turns out to be the one torturing and murdering people for blaspheming the holy fire can't be dead. This rule about vampires turns the whole game upside down for me.

No, she's actually an "allied" character, Orianna. You'll be killing other Bruxae though.
She's definitely a higher vampire, not a bruxae.
Something that's been bugging me since playing the Blood and Wine DLC is that Regis expressly informs you that only a vampire can kill another vampire permanently. It's why you need his help to defeat Detlaff. It's the reason they say Witchers don't accept contracts on higher vampires. So if that's the case, then there's several vampires I defeated in Oxenfurt, Velen, and Novigrad, that are still on the loose. Not to mention all the ones you fight in Toussaint. Even assuming this only applies to higher vampires, and not the lesser vampires, then the Novigrad city coroner who turns out to be the one torturing and murdering people for blaspheming the holy fire can't be dead. This rule about vampires turns the whole game upside down for me.
