This is a powerful testimony and revealing the truth of such an ordeal as having an abortion must be difficult to do, so I thank you and wish you much peace and happiness.
The real problem is that with the fall of Christendom, fornication has become so normalised that people don’t think twice about having sex with people that they would not want to marry or that they think would make bad parents. With the widespread use of contraceptives, sex has become like a sport or entertainment that everyone feels entitled to engage in no matter what, losing sight altogether of the fact that sex is, in fact, a procreative act.
@@_Pia12 I have a dear friend- such a delight- who was adopted. His birth mother shared with him that he is alive today, blessing us all so richly, because abortion was illegal in the USA at his conception. It definitely should give us all pause when we realize how many special people we have lost before they ever had to opportunity to be born…😢
@@amyaldrich780 I wasn’t implying at all that abortion shouldn’t be illegal. It definitely should be. But cultural ills don’t stand alone. They are symptoms of underlying disorder within the minds of people en masse. Abortion is largely a result of sexual irresponsibility. Once upon a time, people understood that the sexual act was procreative and not just an activity that everyone is entitled to engage in whenever the fancy strikes them, even if they’re single. The feat of social engineering that was “the sexual revolution” of the 60’s put an end to that. I wonder just how many babies have died in the name of so-called “sexual liberation”??
My parents planned to abort me as they were young and unmarried. They were thwarted because it wasn't legal and a person to perform it was hard to find. @@amyaldrich780
Thanks for sharing Anushka! I didn't know you that well in Perth but saw from the sidelines you had your struggles and to hear that that was just the beginning, wow!. So good to hear you made it through and now you are wiser for it and ready to help others in similar situations, that must have taken beyond courage to achieve! so proud of you!
I also had an abortion and it’s still the worst decision I have ever made - to my little boy or girl - I’m so sorry and I hope you’ll forgive me- I went on to have my tubes tied tho the Doctors thought I was too young but when I explained I’d had an abortion and did not deserve to have a child - they let me get my tubes done. The guy who would have been the Father told me that he wasn’t ready to be a father but would support me whatever I chose - I drank a bottle of scotch a day before I went into the hosp and then I had it done- I didn’t think I would be a good parent or that I’d be ok as a single parent. It’s the worst choice I have ever ever made. 😢😢😢😢 I should have adopted out or changed my thinking - forgive me Lord Jesus. 🛐 by the way - I was at the Adelaide rally .
Oh Anushka (Sp?)…I know it’s become “easier” to share your story, but it’s still difficult, and I’m so sorry. You have been through so much. Thank you for sharing it, and for warning so many that it’s not a quick, easy “fix,” but one that leaves you so empty. Women need to know this…and men, just as much! (Men! Protect these precious ladies. Most abortions occur because women do not have support at home to raise these little ones!) Anushka, what gives me encouragement is that you have Jesus to walk with you. He cares about your heart…and is the ultimate Healer. You are loved so dearly…forgiven…and can run to Him in the difficult times. Thank you for being so courageous to share with us…and be willing to walk through it all again so that people know the truth. Big hugs to you… And to Joanna, for your willingness to fight this deeply-worthy fight for the life of the most vulnerable…
@ Joanna- I’m SO proud of the work you are doing in the UK! Your courage and strength to defend the unborn is almost unheard of, and your compassion for the babies and their parents is so special. Keep up the great work, Sister!! 🩷
This guilt-laden misery is a common end result for so many young women who, at their very core, desperately want to be loved and feel loved. Many never recover emotionally and carry the burden their entire lives. Whilst God forgives us when we acknowledge our wrong choices, many young women can never forgive themselves.
This is so heavy. Articulating a personal decision, the ramifications for her baby and herself (fallout) and the implications for society and humanity.
When I was in a Catholic high school in late 70s in about year 8, a nice brave nun went through what a surgical abortion entailed, pictures and everything gruesome. But I don't recall any messages about pregnancy support, or about how sacred motherhood is or about how to look after a baby. It was all about career. Maybe sister did and I don't remember. But we knew it was a sin to kill an unborn child. Then I went to uni and all the ideological lies overshadowed what the nice brave nun had told us. Then I became a social worker and was censored to promote the lies about reproductive rights and how abortion access was important. I worked in public health settings including mental health settings where abortion was seen wrongly as health care or worse - damage control. There was no responsibility to promote women keeping a pregnancy despite mental illness or drug use or to support women post abortion in their grief. Now I am almost retired I still wonder why the Catholic church or other Christian agencies have not done more to improve support for the unborn child and to promote reality of abortion sin or to bravely say yes to the gift of life without fear or shame. Sisters of Life we need you in Sydney. St Joseph protected baby Jesus and Mary. St Joseph pray for us so abortion is unthinkable. Mother Mary pray for us for God's mercy and grace upon women who find themselves pregnant and confused that they may bravely say yes and be given all the spiritual and physical support they need.
What happened in Queensland today is the most disturbing and disgraceful act. May God have mercy 🥺 I hate to think what is coming next. Shame LNP SHAME

Spot on ♥️🙏♥️
No the problem is that abortion is legal. Simple. Make it illegal. Make the human right of the preborn person to live a legal issue.
