    My dentist's office started using these in the last year and I like it better than the old way. My gums are no longer sore and swollen after a cleaning.

    I recently had a water scaling cleaning. I tought that the dentist was going to use the normal scaler but he said that I've been taking good care of my teeth so it wasn't necessary. I feel like it's all thanks to you and your channel! Thank you so much, I really mean it 😁

    My dental hygienist use that on my teeth for the first time. And I liked it. It seemed to go so much smoother. ❤❤❤ I told her where I noticed it was a different kind of instrument. She said yes she had it for a while and decided she’s going to get it out and use it. I told her I loved it. 😊

    I was actually introduced to an ultrasonic a couple of years ago, my first experience with it was not that great. Because the dentist was being kind of aggressive with it. When I was introduced to it again by my dental hygienist, she did mention to me that if I wasn’t particularly comfortable with her using it, that I could raise my hand and she would not mind Scaling by hand with her hand instruments.
    I actually do think that the ultrasonic does feel more gentle on the teeth. And I don’t mind it, I just don’t particularly like that high-pitched squeaking sound that it seems to make when it makes contact with the teeth. But the hygienist is very gentle with it. So overtime I have actually found that to be my favorite part of the appointment. Especially when she polishes. I was actually in shock after she finished last time.

    I have one at home, and my wife scales my teeth regularly. At beginning it took a hour or so to scale all my teeth as she would only tap the pedal with her bare foot intermittently for one or two seconds each time.😅😅😅

    I am not a fan. it's quicker but the high pitched squealing noise is terrible and I find myself feeling like it hurts worse than the manual scraper at times.

    I got my teeth cleaned yesterday. The hygienist was digging into my gums so bad with the ultrasonic scaler. Then she said my teeth barely had any calculus. Then why is this so painful?! She must not have been trained right

  • @dutziin

    So they're like a water flosser on steroids?

  • @daysoftheboo
    @daysoftheboo 2 месяца назад +1

    Is flossing bad and harmful to gums? There's a dentist on RUclips that says flossing is bad and makes gums worse but I would imagine only if you're flossing really hard and aggressively right? With my crooked teeth there is no way at all I could get rid of stuck food between my teeth with just rinsing alone

    • @Zoey_Van
      @Zoey_Van 2 месяца назад +4

      I know exactly who you're talking about and she is very misleading. If you're very aggressive when flossing I'm sure you could hurt yourself but it's very unlikely. It's counterintuitive but I understand why people think flossing is hurting them if they see blood. I promise you if you floss for two weeks straight the bleeding will stop and you will see healthier gums. Rinsing alone will not do it. You got this!

      Zoey is right! Here's my video that helps explain: ruclips.net/video/LbELWANMu7g/видео.html

    • @daysoftheboo
      @daysoftheboo 2 месяца назад

      @@Zoey_Van I won't stop flossing because if I did the spaces between my teeth would never be clean, I will say years ago I did used to floss aggressively and that could be why I have receding gums, but then I learned about proper gum health I've been flossing as gently as I can
      But watching the videos from the dentist that doesn't recommend flossing I will say she comes off convincing but I'm a skeptic because people with severely crooked teeth like mine there is no way rinsing alone will pull the food out from between the teeth no way

      I went to the Dentist cause of your videos regardless how painful it maybe cause getting those area where bad bacteria can get at need to be cleaned out so healing can happen which I learn from watching your video, long enough having good dental care routine at home.

    Went to the dentist last year for the first time in ten years and yeah still an unpleasant experience. In theory I have a cavity but since it’s not bothering me I won’t worry about it. I was also ready to cry with this water scaler thing.

      so sorry it wasn't a pleasant experience. but, please know that cavities left untreated can grow larger and becoming even bigger problems. here's a video of mine that explains: ruclips.net/video/Wynq_xw7D0w/видео.html hope this helps! also -- if you were uncomfortable with the dentist you went to, here's a video of mine on how to find a 2nd opinion: ruclips.net/video/YWPsLnYuZM8/видео.html
