I haven’t shot a Bergara that didn’t shoot well. The HMR was a bit bulky but still shot well. Love my Cascades! We’re getting ready to shoot Tikka. Haven’t shot the Ruger Gen 2. But - Gen 1 also shot great. That doesn’t seem like a very helpful answer 😁
I personally like the Tikkas, but I’m not a big fan of Remington 700s and all the copies, like the Bergara. I like a locking bolt and a bolt lift appropriate for scopes, like 60-70 degrees. The ease of switching barrels on the Tikka is a nice bonus.
Sweet shooting rifle that you have borrowed right there. I have wanted a left hand one in 7mm PRC since they were announced at Shot Show. 308 Win would be my other choice.
Thats a good lil deer, hog, black bear, elk hole poker setup. Federal fusions are good cheap economical rounds when you dont need the high end ammo for animals that dont require the good stuff. Though if you needed more performance out of your rifle its easy to step it up with the good stuff.
@@ReviewThisThingLong story short. Depends on what im hunting. Wish i could afford to handload, but If its yotes then the cheapest box stuff i can find thats non bonded. If im gonna eat it then first choice is Barrnes ttsx, both my rifles like them. Wicked lil bullet, but not great on massive blood trailing. Though definatly enough to follow since its a full passthru, and bleeding from both sides. Though they generally drop pretty fast anyhow, like mine, 12 feet from being hit, if you put it where you need. I lke to slip it between the heart and lungs. It does a lot of internal damage. Also their range is nuetered compared to lead, so look at your stats before using on a hunt. I dont go more than 200yds with 168gr out of. 308. Want to drop down to a 130gr to try out. A 130gr is around 3150 fps. Ouch for anything that gets hit with that. Im finishing up my last box of 168gr then dropping down to 130. Though that last box is being stubborn to get thru since we can only get one deer a year if were extremely lucky. Its due to bad management. If your wondering how the barnes does on a wide variety of animals and a thru few calibers 243, 7rm, and 300wm. Theirs a channel on youtube called Gridlessness. They have years of hunting exclusively with barnes ammo with their 4 girls who also hunt. They take everything from deer, caribou, bear, moose, and bison.
Adrienne. I see you guys shoot a lot of 308 rifles in yalls videos. What caliber and model rifle or rifles do you and your husband personally hunt deer with.
It is not that accurate, was expecting sub 0.75 moa, especially for 3-round groups. CZ600 Alpha can do that with 5-round groups with match and premium hunting ammo. Have you tried it with Federal terminal accent or ELD-X ammo?
@@ReviewThisThing haha, I'm short and always have to scoot my scope back as far as I can. Glad to see this model shoots under MOA with "normally" priced ammo.
No reason for that cheek riser. Need to drop that scope down!!! Holy cow. That is a top heavy set up, that is probably not very well balanced in the field.
That’ll do, nice shooting. Thanks for the video, much appreciated guys, be well.
I think so!!!
Great review !!
Thanks!
Nice video, you are a breath of fresh air 👍
You’re so kind. Thank you.
Another great video! Have all the Bergara rifles models shot accurately for y'all? Do you prefer them to the CVA Cascades, Tikkas, Ruger Gen II's?

Sweet. I have no bolt action experience but zeroing my carbine is always an interesting process.
Oh I bet!

Oooh. That would be sweet!
Great video

@Longtrailside I’ll have to check that out! Thanks.
Fusion is loaded with Speer Gold Dot bonded bullets. A SOLID performer on game.
How would you know?
Good to know!
🤔
Kool vid. Barrel length? Do some 165-168 gr? Alot of Pa whitetail hunters prefer these
We may be able after season if he lets us borrow it again 😁

We do get to use some pretty awesome stuff!!!
Already been there😂 thanks@@ReviewThisThing
@@pikeman0357 awesome!
Adrian, how do you like that grip? Does it seem you have you on the trigger well? Looking at this same model in 308.
I LOVE the grip! To me it’s such an improvement from the typical “hunter style” stock (Ridge). A lot easier for me to reach the trigger.
can you do a video on the winchester xpr extreme hunter 6.8 western please
I’ll see if I can get one.
@@ReviewThisThing thnk you
@gerardcorreale7760 I hope we can!
nice !!

I’ve primarily used 308 the past few years. Robbie likes 6.5 Creedmoor. I also really like 270 but haven’t used it much lately.

Nice.
@rickyflinchum2909 😁😁
Just bought a Sierra in 30-06

Nope. Just those. More to come.
Bergara makes a fine rifle, if you want a good quality Remington 700. ;)
😁
Hopefully the owner can scoot the scope forward and get one size lower rings. Great shooting gun!
He’s a lot taller than me!

@@ReviewThisThing I'm a elr shooter 40 years mill.ia 1 to 6.mill out to 1000 on moa 24 ro 40. And most people i shoot with have mill ao much easier
@jamessammann9183 we’ll look into it
Holy mother or tall scopes. Those rings are way too tall! I know it’s not your rifle, thanks for sharing.
😁😁 Only had medium rings.
How’s that china made scope?
So far it’s working well.
No reason for that cheek riser. Need to drop that scope down!!! Holy cow. That is a top heavy set up, that is probably not very well balanced in the field.
Yeah - used the rings we had available. Always room for improvement. Thanks!
I have low rings on mine with a 15moa base and still require the check riser maxed out.
There ya go!
