Bang Chan rarely ever gives himself the killing part or any other stand out part, even in this song, his part wasn't those either but he just radiates! He stood out (to me) because he stood out (periodt). I think that's why his vocals and presence were usually just so overlooked, I wish he would give himself those moments, but we know he's not gonna do that, especially in regards of his kids. I love that Stray Kids produce their own music, but more than that, i love that, by producing their own music, they take the opportunity to differentiate themselves every time. Lots of groups at this point produce, but so much of it sounds like an attempt to fit into what is trendy or what's mainstream. Stray Kids consistently look at the trends and then do the opposite.

Just wanted to say that in the last couple months(?), I have binged so many videos and so many more reactions all across the board. Your reaction, especially initial, is the same as nearly everyone: stunned and speechless jaw drop (sometimes my mind is amused by the triggered line from Mary Poppins in my head, lol). Don't know how to describe the awesomeness of this video without swearing... This video is how I somehow found Stray Kids (previously zero interest in K-pop). Hooked and unquestionably obsessed. (Since this initial #1 favorite, it has slid into 2nd place as Thunderous is my current #1). So much to this video. Same positive message I've seen in all (or nearly) songs I've experienced so far: we are who we are and no apologies for it, we know what we believe and critics won't sway from solid values. I've also seen frequently, and this vid especially, that there's so much going on, there's no time to breathe or process before it switches -- each switch somehow more captivating than the last and builds up until when it's over there's no words. In my opinion, even just the silence between end and the logo is timed well for perfect impact. 🥰 You have to rewatch multiple times to discover all the bits as well as lyrics telling the story---but it is so awesome that the typical inability to get it the first time is not something to complain about.
I love the production team built sets, not using all CGI. I love the trademark SKZ sound. I love how each member shines in the MV. I love the whole album. I am in awe of 3racha’s production skill and ability to compose brain tickling soundscape. There’s a lot of talk about K-pop’s one hit wonders (from the latest Fifty Fifty lawsuits). Stray Kids and some 2nd and 3rd gen groups built their career one comeback at a time, to refine image, sound, and delivery over time. I will never call SKZ one hit wonder because every era they grew and got better in every aspect. The CD sales, concert attendance, and brand endorsements got bigger, the MVs got bigger budget, the wardrobe is out of this world, our boys are getting better in what they do. I am beyond proud of these guys watching them from predebut.

I really like how you diligently react to skz from the very beginning of their debut till now and I always end up waiting for your opinion on their latest comebacks. what you said about this song is very skz, is exactly what I thought when s-class first came out, I can't help but feel extremely proud of skz bcs this whole album I can really feel how they've grown musically. it's waay more polished, like that's a huge amount of improvement but still have a distinct style only skz have and can pull off. Stray Kids made album of the year with 5 Star for me. Usually there's always some songs that I don't vibe with in album but every song is crazy and I'm listening to each of them non-stop. Bsides are SO good, S Class is addictive, mv makes me want to watch it again and again. And what I enjoyed the most is realizing how Stray Kids really got better and better in producing every era. I can confidently say that this their best era. Music, mvs, concept, choregraphys, bsides, stylings... everything 5 star. I just hope their global growth explodes after this era because this album deserves it.
SOTY and ALOTY is debatable for me. There are lots of great contenders this year considering also the criteria set by the year end shows (even tho personally I really like the whole 5-star Album and they deserved an award for that). But I am so desperate and hopeful for S-Class MV to get the best MV award. If only views are not a factor, I do really believe they deserved an award for the quality the whole team put out for this one. Stray Kids' MVs always match the energy of their music and I am really impressed by that. It is hard to make a music video for a song like S-class, so to be able to capture the whole spirit of the song is truly admirable. The MV made me enjoy the music more; the beat switch, sudden pause, the adlibs, the whistle followed by the high energy intro of changbin then the slow verse of hyunjin, the back-to back rap matched with that quick change of scenes, even the silence at the end. The visuals helped me appreciate all those little things from the song. Just like what Lee know said, you should listen to S-class while watching the MV. You can't separate the one from the other. Only few MVs made me feel what I felt while watching S-class. PS, I'm not sure what are the criteria for the Best MV award, if views are included or purely judge-based. But I'm still hoping they get an award for the MV production coz it is really insane.

There is so much this album has delivered, so much leveling up and so many interesting intentional choices the boys made that heighten the experience. Easily my favourite album to date, and for Stray Kids, that is one hell of a feat. I always had trouble picking a favourite of anything from them - bside, title track, album, music video. But 5 STAR knocked everything out of the park!

Stray Kids skipped S-Class and went straight to Maybach status with this release. It is good to see PD thoroughly refreshed from his hiatus and ready to be our Form of Therapy.
When you were talking about the budget being maximized, im reminded about what you said when they filmed the mv for M.I.A. they were literally in a room with a table, some chairs, drawers, and lots of wire but it took a lot effort to make it look sophisticated or with budget. And like theyre whole production stepped up for the whole album. The song is thrilling and i feel like dancers would seriously love it more coz of the elements theyve done with it to dance to (literally emphasized the dance break and then the hiphop section). Their vocals are also more amplified esp Seungmin, he just pops off more...like same level as han and changbin hit with their rap sections. In a sense, they have more balance in vocal/rap power (esp in ITEM, rap and vocals were equally powerful, its mindblowing) -- honestly, i just love the feeling of hearing the accumulated experience of SKZ in SClass. From muddy waters back n forth which the rapline maximized. The children song for twinkle star similar to their playful TTTH. Venom sample sneaked after the intro. Hyunjins verse one like in his bridge (?) In maniac. Heyday elements. Classic beat switch, but the hiphop being 3racha's origin. The motif of STARS which is literally their TMT song origins when they were afraid that the star theyre following had already died. That chorus byul "eh" sound being skz, Changbin was extra meticulous hahahaha

I had to watch the video 3 times. The 1st time I saw it just to actually see the video and I was so confused but happy. the mv is so insane, and i love the behind vids where you can see their use of practical effects, lighting, explosions etc. but with the album listening i am so excited to watch you hear their growth in music production. like even compared to maxident, it is INSANE how clean their sound is, and how stray kids it still manages to be. like it's absolutely mental and i just can't wait

I really like how you diligently react to skz from the very beginning of their debut till now and I always end up waiting for your opinion on their latest comebacks. what you said about this song is very skz, is exactly what I thought when s-class first came out, I can't help but feel extremely proud of skz bcs this whole album I can really feel how they've grown musically. it's waay more polished, like that's a huge amount of improvement but still have a distinct style only skz have and can pull off. I always think skz always successfully exceeded my expectation every comeback, but this? this one is different. it's like they're really establishing themselves that they're THE LEADER. they're involved so much in everything they put out, their music got finer, and we're here for it. it's a shame they only had little time promoting this on music shows :(

Stray Kids made album of the year with 5 Star for me. Usually there's always some songs that I don't vibe with in album but every song is crazy and I'm listening to each of them non-stop. Bsides are SO good, S Class is addictive, mv makes me want to watch it again and again.
And what I enjoyed the most is realizing how Stray Kids really got better and better in producing every era.
I can confidently say that this their best era. Music, mvs, concept, choregraphys, bsides, stylings... everything 5 star. I just hope their global growth explodes after this era because this album deserves it.
SOTY and ALOTY is debatable for me. There are lots of great contenders this year considering also the criteria set by the year end shows (even tho personally I really like the whole 5-star Album and they deserved an award for that). But I am so desperate and hopeful for S-Class MV to get the best MV award. If only views are not a factor, I do really believe they deserved an award for the quality the whole team put out for this one. Stray Kids' MVs always match the energy of their music and I am really impressed by that. It is hard to make a music video for a song like S-class, so to be able to capture the whole spirit of the song is truly admirable. The MV made me enjoy the music more; the beat switch, sudden pause, the adlibs, the whistle followed by the high energy intro of changbin then the slow verse of hyunjin, the back-to back rap matched with that quick change of scenes, even the silence at the end. The visuals helped me appreciate all those little things from the song. Just like what Lee know said, you should listen to S-class while watching the MV. You can't separate the one from the other. Only few MVs made me feel what I felt while watching S-class.
PS, I'm not sure what are the criteria for the Best MV award, if views are included or purely judge-based. But I'm still hoping they get an award for the MV production coz it is really insane.
My jaw dropped at the PD 13/10 but of course it was earned those opening shots on the river and the video quality solidified that, I would really love to see you react to the Making videos for the MV if you got the chance to check it out!

There is so much this album has delivered, so much leveling up and so many interesting intentional choices the boys made that heighten the experience. Easily my favourite album to date, and for Stray Kids, that is one hell of a feat. I always had trouble picking a favourite of anything from them - bside, title track, album, music video. But 5 STAR knocked everything out of the park!

Watching the making-of video, the practical fire effects were that insane.
Stray Kids skipped S-Class and went straight to Maybach status with this release. It is good to see PD thoroughly refreshed from his hiatus and ready to be our Form of Therapy.
When you were talking about the budget being maximized, im reminded about what you said when they filmed the mv for M.I.A. they were literally in a room with a table, some chairs, drawers, and lots of wire but it took a lot effort to make it look sophisticated or with budget.
And like theyre whole production stepped up for the whole album. The song is thrilling and i feel like dancers would seriously love it more coz of the elements theyve done with it to dance to (literally emphasized the dance break and then the hiphop section). Their vocals are also more amplified esp Seungmin, he just pops off more...like same level as han and changbin hit with their rap sections. In a sense, they have more balance in vocal/rap power (esp in ITEM, rap and vocals were equally powerful, its mindblowing) -- honestly, i just love the feeling of hearing the accumulated experience of SKZ in SClass. From muddy waters back n forth which the rapline maximized. The children song for twinkle star similar to their playful TTTH. Venom sample sneaked after the intro. Hyunjins verse one like in his bridge (?) In maniac. Heyday elements. Classic beat switch, but the hiphop being 3racha's origin. The motif of STARS which is literally their TMT song origins when they were afraid that the star theyre following had already died.
