The four characters each means: Joy, anger, sadness and pleasure. In the MV, the emotions are in a fight and Each time, one character fades out (meaning that this emotion has lost the battle). At the end, there is only one character/emotion left and wins which is pleasure. (correct me if i’m wrong but these are what i recall from changbin’s explanation in the intro)
Thank you ❤for explaining❤
Yeesss, and through the video, characters are disappearing
Pleasure stand at final, is the only character that doesn't disappear
Yea I think you got it. In the M/V reaction, Lee know also explains that the giants could be a metaphor for what the kids are feeling on stage (almost encompassing to stage fright). So as they kids who could be representing stray kids are performing, all the other emotions are disappearing only leaving pleasure at the end like you explained.
Ahhhh, by characters, u mean the scary giant figures?? Or the writings on the pillar things?
喜 means Happy
怒 means Angry
哀 means Sad
樂 means Joyful / Pleasure
THANK YOUUU
樂 actually means pleasure
@@yayanow44 kinda similar meanings though.
@@yayanow44喜and 樂 actually have quite similar meanings in chinese, and the translations will not be completely accurate. This is based off of chinese and it might be slightly different in japanese, i dont know which language they are using
thank you!
This mv talks about all the emotions those kids felt when they are on stage, 喜 = Happy, 怒 = Angry, 哀 = sadness, 樂 = Pleasure and this character is pronounced as 'lak' or 'rak' that sound like rock. It's double meaning with pleasure and rock, that's why the theme is rock n roll. So those different sets portray different emotions such as pirates as anger (that's why at the early part of the mv you can see pirates who are dancing have red eyes), clown set represent happy (they literally playing with the clown), the white set with ashes as sadness ( it's calm and sad) and the last set where changbin's part start is pleasure or 'lak/rock' ( the theme is all rock, you can see guitar everywhere). They are all represent what is happening inside 8 of children's mind when they are on stage like disney movie 'INSIDE OUT'. as the kid performing on the stage, these characters disappear one by one and left only pleasure or 'lak/rock'. And at the end scene of the mv you can see all the emotion from different set dance together at the pleasure or 'lak/rock' set representing the last emotion they felt when perfoming is pleasure or excitement. Hope this help :)
Love your explanation! thanks
the joyful one is actually "pleasure!" changbin explained it in the intro, so its: "joy- anger- sorrow- pleasure"
even just this short text makes me feel thousand emotions.
Wait is that Chinese? And I don’t think it sounds like “lak” and “rak” (I hope I’m correct)
@@Kiseraaa_ it is chinese character, and from what i heard from them it called ‘nak’ in singular but if connect with other word it becomes ‘lak’ as in korean ‘락‘ but also sound ‘rak/rock’. since they use it as 樂-STAR
Do you guys remember when JYP just gave them a selfie stick and left them on the streets to film their music vids? 😳
Omg yes
yessss
Boxer, yes no
the last chorus was shot with a drone because they wanted to fit all of the backup dancers too
the attention to detail in this mv is crazy and the energy is so high!!
Stray Kids keep on improving every single comeback and i still can't fathom how it's possible to do that
the letters are joy, anger, sorrow and pleasure and the first 3 disappear one by one until only pleasure survives
the rock-star intro is very helpful for this!
So, pleasure is better than joy?
@@sabineprennig1585 changbin explained that pleasure connects to happiness

Stray Kids can give self confidence with their songs. Listening to the song, you want to go and live your best life
Exactly, their music gives you energy and joy ,not depression 😊
Yes!!! It's almost a phenomenon tbh. So many people I know who've gotten into Stray Kids then go into this metamorphosis stage where they just like change and transform their whole life. At least it's been like that for me.
Frfr
IKRR THERE SONGS ALWAYS MAKE YOU HAPPY
FRR THE LEADERS OF 4TH GEN MUSIC !!
In the intro they said this song was actually meant to be a b-side for 5 stars album... my reaction watching to that moment was like "are these guys crazy??"🧍♀and everyone say thank you to Changbin for suggesting to this song to be the title song 🙏🏽
But tbh
For 5 album it's actually good a b side track
But I am happy they released it as title track in this new album
It got what it deserves
Thank you Changbin 🫡🥰😂
I WOULD HAVE DIED IF THIS WAS A B-SIDE THANK YOU BINNIE😭😭
It's not crazy, it's 'stray'-zy....I'm sorry, I'll leave
the kids are younger versions of straykids, so their younger versions are scared, nervous , have stage fright(the monster). As they grow older and perform more, the fright and nervousness dissolves( the monster dissolves) and the only thing left is joy in performing. That's Minho's theory that he said in the reaction video, which I think seems accurate.
OHHHHH that actually makes sense especially if you pair it with the characters that where dissapearing like as they grow up those emotions dissolve
Something I've noticed is SKZ relies on camera movements to highlight their dancing a lot. They did it with the S-Class challenge and they did it here. I think it's incredible how something like that can make their already wonderful dancing even better. I can't wait for the rest of the album
so true!
Exactly!!!
Omg yes
Stray kids M/Vs are so out of the box and unique. Thank u Jordan for breaking it down for us
The kids are a representation of them (there are 8 kids) and it shows all the emotions they have had to battle since becoming a group. Its truely amazing. They are now in a space where pleasure wins above all and that is the emotion they want to have when creating their music. 🎉
I really love the word play Stray Kids do in their song. 樂 meaning joy/pleasure and the reading of it sounds like Rock and they add bunch of other words that sounds like it like Luck. 3RACHA Geniuses!
Jordan, everytime Stray Kids release a new music video, I only think about you.
Same
LITERALLY I'm always so hyped for his reactions
me too I always waited his video mv reaction ❤
Same 😂
Their MV always on another level!
Nasrun Sj/NSBlinkbuddy hater disguised as stan fishing likes for clout to promote channel with rotating praise copy paste comment. Changed pfp and name praising on their videos for every Kpop idol while still hating on livestreams calling them flops and other bad things....
Jordan alternating between gawking with his mouth open and hardcorr vibing/headbanging is every Stay's reaction to the MV. It's a masterpiece!
The repetitive refrain, "La-la-la-la-la," represents the indescribable feeling and experience of being immersed in the rock genre. It serves as an invitation to let go and fully embrace the music. The line "Just feel the rock" emphasizes the physical and emotional sensation that rock music can evoke. It encourages listeners to let themselves be carried away by the pulsating rhythm and energy of the music.
When the lyrics mention "We let it rock" and "Feel the tune, rock, rock, rock," it suggests that the band members and the listeners are actively participating in the powerful influence of rock music. The idea of "rocking" represents not only enjoying the music, but also embracing the freedom and liberation that comes with it. The phrase "Till you go crazy, la, la, la, la" reflects the idea that one should surrender themselves to the music, letting go of inhibitions and becoming consumed by the euphoria it brings.
Overall, "락 (樂) (LALALALA)" celebrates the transcendent power of music, specifically rock, to uplift spirits, ignite passion, and create a sense of unity among listeners. It encourages individuals to let loose and revel in the joyous experience of allowing oneself to be swept away by the infectious energy and rhythm of music.
Stray Kids went CRAZY with Lalalala 😭💛 The MV is incredible. The four characters you see are Joy, Anger, Sadness and Pleasure. We're actually inside the children heads. They are performing and anxious about it. The monster is that anxiousness. But the more time pass and the more the characters slowly disappear leaving only Pleasure at the end ! (At least that's what i understood and the boys more or less confirmed it!)
Like Bangchan said: Just ENJOY ok?
The moment I saw the mv I needed Jordan to react to it 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
SAMEE WHY WATCH THE MV WHEN U CAN WATCH JORDON ⭐
same. I didn't understand when ai watch it earlier. But after watching jordan's review, it was mind blowing! The plot twist at the end, bravo!
Ditto...ALWAYS love to get his viewpoint of it, esp since he provides the technical side of how and why things are done a certain way... the comment on the contrasting elements and why it is so satisfying to see amd hear.
I watched every scene with my mouth open, stray kids are still top level
😂😂 i really feel you homie, i actually did the same...
3:14 325 is their debut date (march 25th)
His reaction for skz "LALALALA" was so early 🤣 I always wait for Jordan to react in kpop MV's
LALALALA is so WELL MADE.
THIS SONG SLAPS KILLS SLAYS LITERALLY IM SO SHOOK HOW CAN IT BE THAT GOOD
The kids are actually Straykids themselves but when they were younger. If you count there are 8 kids and eight members. Straykids is relaying the memories of stage fright and getting over that.
They have the best MVs and STRAYKIDS EVERYWHERE ALL AROUND THE WORLD!
Jordan never fails to entertain… and to inform while genuinely having fun with K-pop
4:11 as a Chinese/hong kong stay,樂= pleasure/喜=joy/哀=sadness/怒=anger but fr tho I’m really happy that they did some Chinese characters in the mv
i love how all of us (stays) watch the video proudly like we were the ones who edited it 😭
Jordan is literally me I’m was so shocked they ate like how many letters are in LALALALA!!!??!????? STRAY KIDS EVERYWHERE ALL AROUND THE WORLD YOU MAKE STRAY KIDS STAY!!!!!!
ATEEEEE 😂❤
Jordan’s facial expressions are everything.
Straykids really meant it when they said STRAYKIDS EVERYWHERE ALL AROUND THE WORLD this song just pushes so many boundaries and is AMAZING
This was by far my fav MV ever! Composed, edited, and directed SO WELL!
stray kids never disappoints with anything, they just keep getting better and better.
So i believe the characters represent the emptions referenced the very first teaser, and how the kids are vanquishing the emotiona during their performance, each emotion being onw of the large giant figures that dissolve
I love when stray kids make new songs there always lit
Now this is what I call reacting: funny, educational, goofy and more. Perfect dude.
THIS SONG WAS A MASTERPIECE
This MV is insane. I absolutely love it. The song, the beat, the rap, the melody, the singing, the choreography, the outfits, the plot line, everything is so good and I always look forward to your reactions to SKZ! Love your reaction! God bless!
The song and the MV is so holistic. They are literally expressing a whole concept omg
“But at least the bad guys’ dissolving, that gives me hope” 😭😭
Their MVs have been INSANE!!❤😮 SO FUCKIN’ proud of SKZ (Stray Kids)
WAKING UP AND SEEING JORDAN HAS ALREADY UPLOADED THIS REACTION AHHH BEST FEELING
喜 is happy
怒 is angry
哀 is sad
樂 pleasure
all emotions start fading/disappearing through the music video and only pleasure stays by the end of the song because that is what the song is expressing
actually each song on the album represents a specific emotion :)

jordan with my EXACT reaction to changbin rap
Can we all agree that the new song has a low key different vibe but its SOOO GOOD
The kids represent them pre debut and how they felt and at the end when skz is looking at the kids with the 🤟 its actually showing them pre debut skz mv are the best and have some if the best meaningful lyrics
No way I would have noticed HALF of these details without your help! I love your energy and joy. Your expert analysis is impressive. Thank you for helping me enjoy this music video even more!
When the mv dropped I was like. "I'm not sleeping until Jordan makes a video about it" SAUR- Perfect timing :)
As always never failed to explain the meaning of SKZ MV. 😍
The first character to dissolve is Anger 怒 with 喜 Happiness right after the bomb explosion, followed by 哀 Sorrow/Sadness, leaving only 樂 (Music/Comfort/Pleasure it differs depending on the language) It's a play on words because it can be read as "raku" (at least in Japanese) which sounds a lot like "ROCK". I'm not familiar with Chinese but I know the variation of 樂 in Japanese would be 楽 which looks similar (minus a few radicals) and this character is used in reference to both music and comfort/peace/without hardship. So in the end, they're freely expressing themselves without constraints through music??
I also wanna mention that they're probably referencing Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight, and Mad Max, and then a white stage that I haven't quite figured out what that's about. All four locations/universes are most likely associated with or represent one of the four characters (you can see them in the background of their respective locations).
Fun fact: I (think) the Korean lyrics at 3:52 mean joy, anger, sadness, and pleasure.
Those are the characters for joy, anger, sadness and pleasure. One by one they disappear until only pleasure remains.
The song give me the God Menu and S Class vibes
8:54 totally agree! And Lee Know also said that this song and goes from 0 to 100 then to 200 like it just keeps building up!
"Stuff happens."
-Jordan Orme, A Pro Editor Music Video
it's inside out animation, these are all chaotic emotions of the kids (in the band of "8" on stage), one lost at a time, in the end, pleasure/joy (which has the same character as sound/music) remains triumphed
When Han mentioned inside out in their INTRO and then i saw the movie sequel trailer was released...and then LALALALA right after as if theyve stolen the script and revolutionized it as their own.
@@rhedonlyrhed9155 Definitely some inspirations there, even the last scene somewhat resembles the animation, but this is not the 1st time they play with this term music/joy and different emotions fighting with each others, they use this concept during kingdom performance too (god's menu/side effect stage), so it's kind of like we have similar ideas, so let's just combine, and as you said, put on our own twist
@@sl1230 yeah definitely, just that with anxiety arriving in the sequel of inside out 2, its like skz nabbed the movie before the movie even released 😂
Thank you for the thoughtful reaction, this was CRAAAZYYYY
The beat drop when it hits "Just feel the rock!" is just so SO SO good
3:20 it's actually 'District 325' because of their debut date (March 25th)
So I guess the "district" is for their debut "district 9"?
THIS MV WAS SO GOOD OMG 😻
喜 - joy, delight
怒 - anger
哀 - sorrow
樂 - happiness, joy
not even 1 minute till the video started and his mouth dropped. THE POWER
I can't seem to stop replaying the music video, it's driving me crazy.😭💗
I love it when jyp idols make mvs about supporting children it’s just so wholesome.
The map is a brain. The right side (creativity, more specifically expression) intends to invade the left side (logic, more specifically analytical thinking), all related to stage fright. We can also note that "Anger" calls "analytical thinking" a "bank", suggesting it feeds on it. Also note that in addition to their meaning others have pointed out, the characters in the background disappear in a certain order that is relevant to the story progression.
I love Jordan’s videos they make you appreciate the MV so much more after he goes into the fine details that you only notice if someone points out! ❤
Stray kids never disappoint 🤟🏻 love your reactions
The people who make the VFX effect love Stray Kids.
When Han said "Bet you never seen a stage like this," he meant it.
I seriously LOVE your reactions. A lot of “editor reactions” will tell us about the cameras they use or effects but you actually dive deeper and pay attention to the actual details and symbolism going on in the music video and how those effects/editing/camera work helps make that happen. I think you’re like the first person that upon first watch understood that in the end it was all about the kids stage fright. I’ve seen maybe one or two people notice upon second watch. Your reactions are always so original and help me notice details I didn’t before. Not gonna lie, I haven’t been on top of your videos and just watch them occasionally, but I’m officially binging all the ones I haven’t seen from the groups I love rn lol. Keep it up Jordan!
Raise your hands who loves

Their are four emotions in this MV
Joy, anger, pleasure, sorrow. The point of the emotions is to show how to enjoy music, the story is that 8 kids are performing, the 8 kids represent skz. They have to perform Infront of people. Each outfit represents a different emotions. At the end only pleasure is left. Every single emotion disappears only leaving pleasure the performance of the kids go well and only pleasure is left. The monsters and the other emotions are destroyed. The last chores was filmed with over 150 people and a drone was used to show every single bg dancer. The choreography takes a lot of effort. They filmed on 4 different sets. And the ship is real and they actually built it. Skz and SKZJII (their staff) put in efforts of many days to creat this. Most of this is real and not CGI but some is. A robbery is not happening, it shows a mind of children when performing and feeling different emotions. This song was put out to show how to enjoy music to the fullest.

Jordan is about to start learning Korean so he can understand everything now. From lyrics to text in the videos. And it's gonna be epic, just watch

SO FAST LOL I'M EXCITED
First btw
Bro...stray kids is my drugs....I'm getting hype everytime their songs played
This song reminds us how chaotic it was to make k-pop songs for example the dust giant guy stands for horror so oddinary ,the bank getting robbed case 143 how? We’re robbing their hearts, the white dice to remind of social path, the under water part was their pre debut album since it sinks deep in their hearts ,the bus district nine, the part where han says “joy, anger, sadness, pleasure” repersents gods menu, the kids is how much their dreams been crushed since they were younger but thanks to stays they gained power to be one and only stray kids and the last part is rockstar (for a bonus stays are the clowns 🤡)
Stray kids editors are arguably the best in k-pop industry. They are consistently producing high-quality visuals.
The first character to disappear is "Angry", then "Happy", and finally "Sad", leaving only "Pleasure". As said in Stray Kids' MV reaction video, this is probably meant to symbolize how they used to have all of these emotions while performing, while now, they only feel the pleasure. Also, the character for "Pleasure" (which I can't type bc I don't know what keyboard, and even if I did, I don't know what to type on it lol) is in the title of the album this song is in, the album being called "(insert character for "Pleasure")-STAR. If you want to search for the album in English, its English name is "ROCK-STAR".
They're releasing a docuseries and from what we can guess it's going to be a whole lot of behind the scenes for the mv shoot.
I love the sentence: it’s just Sth different, we love novelty, we love things that are out of the ordinary, and that’s why
I am following you! Love the explanations!
Bro this is the first time i've actually liked someone that yaps alot.
Stray Kids never disappoints
The mv is insane
The editing of La4 made my jaw drop! One of my favorites MVs ever if not favorite (which says a lot because Stray Kids' editors set the bar high). Not to mention the song is super catchy
I.N spawning the members Seungmin teleporting and Han blows up in seconds THIS IS STRAYKIDSSS btw i hope he didnt have nightmares
There is nothing as good as stray kids title track in kpop after this one!!!Changbin,Thanks for selecting this as a title track.
Also those who don't know stray kids write, produce, distributes their own songs!!!
They don't write, compose, and arrange all of their music by themselves all the time. They do use other composers and arrangers very often.
@@BeccaFaye1314 what are you exactly trying to say? I don't get you
@noverashehrin6088 they don't do it all alone. They do participate in the production of all of their music, but they also have other producers that help and get credit for helping.
