Hey everyone! I had a few comments mentioning that I missed the after credits scene. Not sure how that happened. I will record a quick reaction video to that this coming week!
Bought this game right when it came out because I thought the UI seemed pretty cool (and I heard there was mechs.) One of the few games I went in blind for and I’m proud to say I cried like a baby during this game. I’ll never forget it. It was MY GOTY for 2022 Glad to see someone else enjoy it
I love how when Melia and Nia join the fight, we see Melia pull off a proper Starlight Kick where she doesn't fall on the ground, and Nia is carrying Pyra and Mythra's swords with her. Also seeing Poppi again made my heart explode! I also wanna mention that Noah's monologue at the end is very reminiscent of what Jin says at the end of the Torna expansion, but with a very different meaning behind it. Jin is talking about feeling essentially chained down to an obligation and having no other choice but to keep going through it in the hopes of achieving a futile end. Noah describes continually striving for what you desire in spite of all the trials ahead.
This game is such a masterpiece, Monolith soft really knocks it out of the park with anything I've played from them. Great playthrough! If you like this genre: have you ever considered playing the Trails series? It's a big commitment so I understand when people don't get into it (family's, life, etc) but it's such a great series if you were looking for a jrpg with great world building, incredible characters, all that jazz
Plus, Trails in the Sky was just announced to be getting a remake. perfect time to jump in. And you don't need to commit to more than the first 2 games to get a satisfying conclusion if the thought to jumping in to a long running series is off putting.
39:02 They where insinuating that he is the one that originally introduced the Homecoming ceremony 1000 years ago and that he has always been a off-seer in his every reincarnation. One of the hero sidequests actually explains how it was before that.
That picture broke a fair few people, but for me, it was vindication! Big happy aegis family! Take your time getting to Future Redeemed, because while it's not as big as the base game, the story it tells is definitely something else. Also, for Future Redeemed, I would recommend not skipping the credits in your finale video. The song they chose is very special for Xeno fans & Monolith both.
I think you might've misunderstood the whole Zanza/Architect dynamic, the architect dies in Xenoblade 2 because Shulk kills zanza in Xenoblade 1, not that his death somehow powers zanza up. I believe the exact line the architect says is "the time of my other selfs demise draws near" when describing why he'll die
I think it was more that I forgot how it worked. I played XC1 a couple of years ago and played XC2 recently, but I have a terrible memory and forgot how the situation played out. Thank you for clarifying!
Thanks for taking us along the ride and I hope you've enjoyed the game and story. Still some way to go with the DLC, fortunately, until the very end has been reached. Wishing you fun with it.
It's my own little headcanon that the reason Eunie ranks Taion as her fourth best bud is because her favorite thing that she brings up again and again in the main story, side quests and side dialogue is "Fortune Clovers" which is the goofy Xenoblade name for Four Leaf Clovers. So by ranking him her fourth best friend, it's her way of saying that Taion is special to her. Or at least that's my hope. Also this ending! It has been two years since I beat the game for the first time and I've seen the ending through replays or watching other people stream the game over and over, and every time it makes me cry. The game touches on so many personal and adult topics and, in my opinion, handles them so very well. I've struggled with so much growing up and there are so many subjects this game explores behind all the quirky video game silliness that it really really resonates with me. It's also why all the dialogue starting with the last N fight is just one punch to the gut after another. Absolutely can't wait to see your reaction to the DLC once you've had a few weeks to decompress.
The picture is showing Rex having kids with Pyra Mithra and Nia. Mio os Nia and Rex daughter. Also you missed the post credits cutscene. It shows another version of the very first Cutscene of the game with the kids going to watch the fireworks in Melia's anniversary. Theres a huge important filosophical thought that you can take out of that, that has been bellow your nose the entire game presented en many ways, that many won't perceive and even fight against the tought, like Moebius, If you want i can explain it for you.
All areas of the world contain parts from the original worlds. Aetia is primarily composed of the Bionis Leg and Gormott. Fornis contains elements of Fallen Arm and Torna. The Urayan Mountains combine Uraya with Tephra Cave. Cadensia is made up of Makna Forest and Morytha. The Keves Castle Area is formed by the remains of Mor Ardain and the Ether Mines. Erythia combines elements of Eryth Sea and Leftheria. And the Agnus Castle background shows the head of the Bionis and parts of Indol. Also, it has been theorized that Origin was constructed utilizing the remains of both Mechonis and the World Tree, adding to this theory is the fact that the golden elevators within it are the same as the ones found in Central Factory.
1:35:37 te moment N takes Noah’s hand, his eyes have bright again, I think this is the only moment when that happens 🥲 I remember I didn’t wanted to buy this game, but I spoiled myself that scene of Nia and Poppy smiling at each other, and those seconds of video, made me buy it ❤ And yes, it’s incredible how we ended up loving all the main cast! They’re amazing, this is just a masterpiece 🥲❤️
It was a great game it really is.👍👍👍👍👍 Say if you Nia as a Hero you load the save file of the completed game and go to a place where met her in the game then when you have her Class to Rank 10 to activate her hero quest and the same you get Melia as a Hero too just go to Keves Castle Entrance and you will her and go to the throne room in Keves Castle to activate her hero quest when you got Melias Class at Rank 10. So would really like you to make next lets play video about it please.😣😣😣😣😣
I finally realized it during Noah's Side Story, because Noah talks to Crys in front of that big picture with the Bionis and the Mechonis in that one flashback.
fun fact: If you skip Eunie's Side Story, X won't appear inside of Origin, because she needs to be alive for that side quest. You need to complete that quest before you can do her fight
45:20 I always get a kick out of folks recognizing that. I have so many tin foil hat theories about Crys especially after art book details and interveiws but I'll wait to later to voice them.
@@MysticsLibrary there's a minute and a half post credits scene. I wont spoil it for you, but it IS significant and you WILL want to watch it before finishing Future Redeemed. also, heads up, that DLC also has a post credits scene
Now only the DLC is left, which shows the conclusion, but also shows what happened before this game. It's an AMAZING story. As for Riku... there is more info in the DLC about that
Very nice reaction series! I can see how doing long letsplays is more stressful than other content, still, I hope we'll see you again for Xenoblade 4 ^^ And now have fun looking up the photo! :D
The finale at last 😄 did you go back and see the picture? Shame you missed it! But it's been a great series of reactions and I'll be looking forward to future redeemed 😊 2:35:20 ish, gets me every time, Taion just falling to his knees. He definitely grew on me over the play through
I did go back and see the pic! Can't believe Rex is a polygamist now LMAO And yes... Taion easily is one of my favorites. I truly love them all but I think Sena (who was consistently my favorite throughout the game) and Taion came out on top for me.
So, to kind of reiterate/add-on to what a couple of other commenters said re: the end picture - The fandom really ragged on poor Nia in Xenoblade 2 for getting "rejected" by Rex ("I love you...and all you guys" after she confessed to him) so Monolithsoft figured they'd be cheeky and imply that not only did Rex end up with both Pyra and Mythra, but Nia as well, and then had children with all three of them. I can't go into more details without spoiling FR but suffice it to say that they basically trolled the fandom and canonized it lol. Now the fandom is making the jokes that when Rex said "And all you guys" he REALLY meant he loves all of them lol.
I know this comment will age, but it's interesting and fun to get the perspectives of folks who played this game now as opposed to those who did so at its release two years ago. Most of the early players were diehard fans of the series who went into this game with high expectations and came away feeling mixed when they didn't get their Shulks and Pyras. Players who get into this game now and from here on out, I think, are of a more casual sort who don't let the gravity of the series' past weigh them down. They seem to enjoy it so much more, this way. I probably fall somewhere in the middle, having skipped the first game, put hundreds of hours into the second, and am considering this third instalment to be my favorite game on Switch. It's certainly the one that made me cry the most of all games! Still makes me cry! Thank you for a clean, friendly, inquisitive, compassionate playthrough. Definitely one of my favorites so far.
Aww thank you so much! I'm definitely the latter of the two types of people. I only recently got into this series and definitely approached it from a casual perspective. I think 3 is my favorite of the series, though I still need to play Future Redeemed so I don't know if that will change. I plan on doing a video at some point discussing how I rank the games in terms of story. Each were special in their own way and for different reasons. It's just such a great series.
Not to invalidate what you are saying but this game was loved when it came out too. There are always going to be people let down by any new game release but this one was not really one of them. Like it literally got nominated for game of the year and was an instant classic in the xenoblade fandom. Certainly had a infinitely better reception than Xenoblade 2 and its not even close. I honestly am unsure what you are referring to with people being mixed because the vast majority loved the game at release and saw it as a return to form for Xenoblade after 2 (I say this as someone who has Xenoblade 2 as a top 3 game of all time). You said you skipped the first game and that makes me think you might be missing some context on how the community felt when these games released cause any negative reception to 3 is like 10% of what 2 got lol

This game singlehandedly increased tissue sales throughout the world I think.
I love when Eunie says 4th best at 2:31:27 because as we know lucky clovers mean a lot to her so the number 4 is really important for her
Yesss. I love this. I love her and Taion so much together.
I love how when Melia and Nia join the fight, we see Melia pull off a proper Starlight Kick where she doesn't fall on the ground, and Nia is carrying Pyra and Mythra's swords with her. Also seeing Poppi again made my heart explode!

Thanks for taking us along the ride and I hope you've enjoyed the game and story.
Still some way to go with the DLC, fortunately, until the very end has been reached. Wishing you fun with it.
I'm hoping to start recording it in a few days. Not sure when the videos will go up, but i'm shooting for next week before I leave for a trip!

1:10:05 oh wow I never seen anyone point that out, I'm about 90% sure that hand belongs to Mor Ardain one of the titans from Xenoblade 2.
All areas of the world contain parts from the original worlds.
Aetia is primarily composed of the Bionis Leg and Gormott.
Fornis contains elements of Fallen Arm and Torna.

It is, you can see the whole Titan in the DLC
Best videogame trilogy ever made😊

There's a instance if the dlc where N eyes show that sparkle
Ohh.. This is a long one!! I'm glad you finished the base game tho!! Congrats.

Omg what! This is amazing! I'm going to see if I can do a video of that as well. Thank you for letting me know!
3:35 I love the smaller Tora cameo in the origin lore reveal.
The moment when people realize that Keves castle is Alcamoth 😅
It's always special

Did she see the post credits scene? I don't see it in the video.
Did I miss a scene? I can go back and look if I did. Nothing showed up for me after the credits though.

:eyes:
What an ending, eh? Satisfying, and yet so sad. Of course, Future Redeemed is next and I'm looking forward to see you playing it.
thank you
That Picture was Gigachad Rex >D
I'll never forget the kiss of Noah and Mio. They're perfect together just like this game is a masterpiece.❤❤❤
Very nice reaction series! I can see how doing long letsplays is more stressful than other content, still, I hope we'll see you again for Xenoblade 4 ^^ And now have fun looking up the photo! :D
You'll see me again for the next game for sure, but it won't be a playthrough. I have other ideas in mind going forward though!
Fun fact, if you pause at 3:34 you can see Tora standing next to Nia. So yeah, he played a key role in designing Origin.
Wait what?! I'm going to have to go back and watch my video LOL
That picture was our boy Rex, now a gigachad. And yes, he married all 3 off them, which is a bit weird, but believable if you know them.
Hopefully you get a chance to properly see that ending photo 😉😉
I did!
@@MysticsLibrary what's your opinion on that/reaction 👀 or will you talk more about it when you start future redeemed 🙏🏻😌
