I also have 4 Redtail Barracuda‘s but I can’t get them to eat pellets or frozen unfortunately. Really skittish if I’ll throw something in. How’s the aggression going with your Redtail Payara? I’ve been thinking about getting one, not sure if it’s good idea or not

I actually rehomed them shortly after getting them out of quarantine. They were extremely nasty as a group and killed a few fish. I really wasn’t expecting that!
I’ve used prefilters in the past. I don’t like them because they cut the flow of the filter down a lot. I have a decent amount of mechanical filtration in my tanks to make up for it!
That’s a great question because I forgot to cover that. Long story short, I was a dope and unplugged his filter and forgot to put them back on for like 2-3 days. Tigrinus need a ton of oxygen and he didn’t make it. Probably one of the worse losses I’ve had that I had a direct impact in 😔 The Stormii was actually purchased to “replace” the Tigrinus but don’t be surprised if we get another 👀
