Sadly, my fish inhaled a big piece of the almond leaf and it choked and died.. Be careful with what you put in your tank.. As the leaves break down they fall apart into different sizes. Sometimes the fish inhale too deeply while sucking up food and it can end tragically 😢
Yes, this can happen. I had a plant in one of my aquariums and the betta had a bite out of the root and couldn’t pass it and he died within a week. One of my last batch of Indian leaves had either shrimp eggs or a parasite on them that infected two of my tanks. Now one of my bettas is on verge of death.

hey so how should i boil the leaves correctly if i need to add them as you said in the video i dont want to get rid of the tannin colour because i want a darker setup just want to kill the bacteria off so could you explain on how i should boil them? Keep it in water for few minutes or put it under steam?
I have a pair of bettas in a planted tank... it's quite established and not using any filter, today female laid eggs and the male one made a bubble nest and put them in the bubbles... Should I add any sponge filter or let it be like that ... Thank you
It’s hard to suggest something without knowing tank size and temperature detail. But if it’s already planted tank with right condition, you don’t need filter as it may stress your male since he is not use to it, May also impact the nest.
Hallo AD squads. I make my almond leaves extract by adding water in a transparent bottle and with an air pump with a airstone in the bottle and in about 4 to 6 hours the water will me dark, if you want it to be darker you can let the airstone in the bottle for longer.
I am also from India so I know only some benifits now I know full of then thanks and can make a video on dry Banana leaves also and there difference and similarities
nope, from water condition perspective. But it has other beneficial feature of bringout best betta colors, but you need to make sure to not bring down pH way low.
It doesn't have to be cycled if you're using the right products. I used seachem prime and seachem stabilty. The Prime makes the water safe if there's ammonia in it and the stability helps build up beneficial bacteria in the tank. Just look up videos about addding fish to uncycled tank.
Is the male building bubble nest ,? If not it’s surely not ready for breeding, is it actively pursuing the female, attracting it by spreading its fins and stuffs, if not the male is still young, give it some more time.

Yes, guava leaves also have rich tannins. But they breakdown faster, but works.
Do we still need to add almond leaves if ph is 6

I just recently transferred my betta fish to a new tank that wasn’t cycled, should I be worried about that? Also he’s swimming frantically?
Yes, monitor him. Not cycle tank means, no beneficial bacteria’s. Water condition may not be 100% suited.
Is there a way to fix this? Or is it too late
