A tip: If you must have to ride in chilly weather without proper winter-wear then wear your backpack on your chest. Because your chest is one of the most vulnerable area, where you can catch cold and your bag is not at all penetrable by chilly winds. Other important areas to cover are nose, ear and throat. My father taught this and it helped me a lot.
Good tips, I rode like that when going longer distances on my snowmobile. Definitely effective, also wore warm floatation gear, don’t think the floatation gear is needed on a bike though 😂
I was in a similar situation once in Wyoming, cold, soaking wet, and miles to go through snow. I stopped at a grocery store, took some of those one-use plastic bags from the meat department, bought a roll of electrical tape, and fashioned waterproof "mittens" over my gloves, wrapping the palms and wrists with the tape. The other customers looked at me like I was weird or something. Don't know why.
Riding through a Colorado snowstorm in the same gear you rode through the Mexican deserts?...now THAT is what I call a hard woman! You never disappoint, Noraly!
Sabina Hi, I don't normally comment that much, but I have to say this anyway. I am a 57 year old woman, and your videos made me decide to buy a motorcycle. Not one to ride around the world (never been on a bike, let alone ridden one) But as I'm not tall (1.60m) I decided for a mini...the Honda Monkey 125cc to start. Of course I still have to learn to drive first, but next spring I will definitely explore BE and NL. So thank you for giving me the courage and that "Itchy" feeling to do this. Sabina
Wow Noraly, you are SUPER woman! Nothing stops you - not the heat, volcanic roads, thick sand, river or sea crossings, injuries, nor the freezing cold temperatures or snow. Your courage, determination and tenacity is truly remarkable. And, to top it all, you're always positive, bright, smiling or laughing through it all ... incredible!!! We can all take a leaf out of your book ....
When I was, standing to, waiting to go to Iraq, in Colorado Springs, I rented a car and tried Pikes Peak. They closed it for snow; so, I didn’t get to the top. I’ll try again someday. Love what you’re doing, Noraly. Kentucky
That hotel clerk when she said she was jealous of you, I could relate to the same feeling nearly all women have in your videos no matter which country or culture. I've seen that same reaction from other women in your videos from India, South Africa, South America, and now North America. That's what connects us all. Thanks for spreading hope.
For viewers wondering where exactly the wilderness rides are : At the 15:20 mark Noraly is riding out of Woodland Park CO into the Rampart Range and into what we affectionally call 'The Platte' along the South Platte river deep in the mountains of Pike National Forest. An incredibly beauitful and way out there place. Numerous forest service roads weave thru the area you really can get away from it all here. The fishing in the Platte is exceptional and the Rock Climbing is adventurous to say the least. Skipping across Interstate 70 Noraly gets on Hwy 72 the 'Peak to Peak Highway' up to Nederland a funkly old mining town now filling with rich hipsters and their million dollar homes. The old mountain folk are still here though and the hospitality with them. So glad you were able to route your trip thru Colorado ...theres no place like it !
What a testimony to the build quality of Honda. Noraly literally puts her life on the line almost every day trusting that her bike will not break down and stand up to the punishing conditions. It takes whatever she throws at it and comes back for more. Ride safe Noraly!
Another epic adventure. Even when you have a "bad" time, you are cheery and make the best of your situation. That's why your fans all love you and your trips. Keep it up.😀
Lived in Colorado for 30 years of my life. The weather is unpredictable there, but the local rule is to "wait 5 minutes, it will change". It's taken many a hikers life. You set out in shorts and a t-shirt for a mountain hike on a blue sky day only to have a white out snow storm blow in. They sneak up on you in the mountains. The temperature can swing 50+ degrees and before you know it, the trails gone with a sheet of white and you are freezing. Anyway, the rule of thumb is to always dress in layers and tell someone where you went.
As a native of colorado I can can say that everything you just said is true 😆. If there is one bit of info I can give the visitors to Colorado that could save their lives, it is that you need to always carry water with you. If you are hiking always bring a good jacket with you and always leave room for a good pair of pants (not made out of cotton), and a pair of good socks in your backpack. Even if it is the middle of June or july, depending on how far up into the mountains you go, you could go from temperatures in the 80s to below zero in a matter of hours.
I've been caught in exactly that same way in the mountains. Lucky to have survived. At least it was a valuable lesson and now I over-prepare and never regret it.
Don’t know how much of this you get to read Noraly but wanted to try to let you know that you inspire ppl to do more than just motorcycle journeys (though my wife and I do have motorcycles). Yesterday for instance we watched your videos posted last week and were inspired to go on a paddling adventure. Thanks for your infectiousness!
She should ignore speed limits and overtaking restrictions.. the benefit of being European in the US is you must be doing something worthy of jail to be stopped, aside from warnings. Hot springs, and a little jetboil kit for coffee tea miso will all help in the high country! Tot ziens!
She has cost me thousands lols , after a while I just had to get another bike and some mosko moto and hit the road had one good 3500km trip so far , love it
As a US citizen, your recent videos have given me a reawakened appreciation for the land that I love…….as a California girl now living in the Pacific Northwest, I feel blessed beyond belief! I recite a little prayer every morning, for our Fabulous Wandering Traveler, and Motorcycle Mama, Miss Noraly! “May the gods protect you and Alaska, wherever you are, wherever you go, and wherever you end up….whether you meant to be there or not…we love and appreciate you, Amen”! 🙏🏽💖💛💖💛
The only way Noraly’s videos could be better is if they were each 2 hours long, which I would gladly sit through! Watching that riding in snow footage made ME feel cold! I’m sure that fireplace felt great after the journey!
I'm against longer videos and you can watch all the episodes one after the other, it takes longer than two hours. But anyway, I don't have to decide, Ms. Schoenmaker decides and I like that...
I lived in Colorado for many years. One time I stopped at a red light in June, it was sunny except for one cloud rushing towards me. All of a sudden it darkened, wind blew hard and rain fell and turned to snow for a few seconds then back to rain. Then the wind stopped and the light turned green. True story.
This is Colorado. There is always a chance of snow in the upper elevations, it really doesn't matter what month of the year. I am glad you showed the ride up Pikes Peak, it gives people around the world a look at what is one of our local treasures. Thanks for sharing. It will probably be warmer tomorrow.
I've been on many motorcycle trips where it's freezing and your hands are frozen and it is NOT fun. Every mile goes by painfully slowly. Glad you made it through the day!
What an adventure! You’re a trooper. The variety of scenery and events really set your videos apart from others. Us weekend warriors will never be able to match your variety and levels of adventure. You are quickly establishing yourself as the premier benchmark for adventure rider vloggers.
Hi Noraly. Im sure you already know this tip. I always ride with a couple of pairs of latex gloves in my tool roll. They have been priceless a couple of times when the weather changes. In India they saved me from frost bite as they not only keep your hands dry but also act as wind stoppers.... I just asked in a garage if I could buy a pair and they gave me a hand full ( no pun intended ) Stay safe and thank you for your videos and blogs and entertaining and inspiring. Reuben
The way you put together all those camera angles and drone shots is nothing short of amazing. Noraly, you are most definitely a master craftsman at what you do. I m totally addicted to getting up in the mornings and joining you for your rides!
Im from Denmark but i have been a lot in the US ( working with wind turbines), and i have to say Colorado is one of my favorite states, the area around colorado springs and Pikes Peak is so beautiful and different from Denmark where i live. You hear a lot of negative stuff about the US in the media, but that is not my experiance with the US, almost all the people i met were very friendly and open, and the different senery state to state is amazing
Mainstream media is all about the negative. When they have nothing bad to say, they'll make it up. The gov pays them to keep people scared and obedient, and will censor any truths.
Oh girl. one of the best episodes so for. One of my dreams, doing pikes peak. I can almost feel the cold, the way you filmed this. EPIC I am a fan for life
If you’re ever wondering if the ground is icy or just wet, look for spray coming off the tires…or tyres, which ever you prefer. If it’s ice you won’t see spray.
Around 15m, the drone view with the music, watching you ride... Brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for bringing this adventure to our living rooms. God speed on the rest of your journey.
As a Canadian, I would advise having winter gear with you at all times here, especially at the higher elevations. Remember, our fall is like your winter back in The Netherlands.
@@szolanek According to the video shown she was in Colorado back in the Colorado SPRING when the aspens were coming out in leaf at mid elevation but aspens and all the other brush higher on the mountains was still WINTER DORMANT . Figuer that it was sometime in June . For some reason Noraly feels compelled to now not reveal the date at time of any recordings in order to not destroy an illusion of immediacy ,or " expiry date " Nonsense . When folks are viewing them a year later or in other seasons it would be valuable for context to know those recording dates . It would be like reading an older newspaper with all the dates removed .
@@sjoerdbakker6040 she’s explained the reason is for her safety. She has had people trying to find her and leaving the dates of where she is up in the air makes it harder for people to track her route and intercept her.
@@szolanek I understand that there may be concerns about perverts anywhere on the planet but putting a date to a particular episode of roaming is of no use to weirdos trying to stalk because of the nearly three months ( and increasing ) delay between recording and transmitting dates , as Brian Chutskoff has descibed in the intervening post . If there is so much concern about perverts then the next step would be to eliminate all showing of any geographic stand-out features and location , no mention of any names of towns , mountains or rivers , no showing of any roadside service and no route tracing on the paper map. What then would be the point of doing these travel videos ? In fact Noraly would wind up having to run incognito ,anonymously with no social contact or interaction which would be totally contrary to her free spirit and and attitude of trusting in the goodness of people in general . She, and we , would miss those marvellous moments at the gas pump when a total stranger strikes up a short friendly conversation because he was acquainted with the ITCHY BOOTS travel epics. Knowing the date can help establish for the viewers the relationship of the season at that time in the part of Mexico , the USA or Canada or whatever country. It will help broaden geographic knowledge in general . Now she may unintentionally be giving the unsuspecting uninformed viewers an impression that in mid -August it is still winterlike in Colorado. At the current state of video progress it may appear as if Alaska and the Arctic are enjoying mild summer weather , long daylight with green deciduous trees in November and December when the videos are posted .
Since I started watching your channel I find myself giving you priority over all else. Bad for my schedule but good for my psyche. Addicted to you and your RUclips channel.🙂
Yes...addicted to Noraly and her quest. Thats the feeling exactly...every morn first thing...I check her youtube channel. I am getting a bit worried about the wsther from now on, She's still a long way from Akaska.
Noraly is definitely a trooper. I remember camping at Longs peak in Colorado in the summer and waking up to lots of snow. Best campfire bacon and eggs ever!
I’ve watched all your videos. They are great! I can’t believe you actually stopped in a place I lived (Nederland) while a student at CU in Boulder decades ago. A 10,000 mile trip around the western US and Canada on a Triumph T100C after getting out of the Marine Corps led me to moving to the west. Been through several bikes since then and still riding.
It's so much fun to experience the world through your eyes Noraly. You have an eye and sense of curiosity that just makes each episode, regardless of what happens, enthralling to watch and listen to. The journey up Pike's Peak has me wishing I didn't pass it up when I was in Colorado. Perhaps another day. One other thing I'll add... A friend said to me once, "I bet you would really like to ride with Itchy Boots." I thought about it for a minute and said "No, I don't want to ride with her. I want to ride like her. Alone, on my own, with my eye on the road ahead." For him riding is a social activity. For me it's not. And that's what I like about the Itchy Boots channel content. But as she's riding through the US, I have to wonder, did she ride to South Dakota to take in the Sturgis experience???
I think she is well into Canada when the Sturgis gathering was taking place. The videos air several weeks after her passing through an area, I think. I'm guessing this video was in late May to mid-June, judging by the snow accumulation on Pikes Peak.
Noraly is a little too late to stop in for the Sturgis Rally. I don't think it would be her cup of tea with 500,000 motorcycles and all the wild parties. lol
Now I want to visit Pike's Peak too because of that landmark about "America The Beautiful", it's one of my Dad's favorite songs... He loved to sing it when he was still around..He is in heaven now..... I must say the song touches my heart everytime I sing it!....Thank you so much Noraly! 👍
Just imagine in August, summer time, having a fire going in your hotel room in snowy Nederland 🥶 while Nederland currently is melting under a heatwave🌞...
Noraly, I live on the opposite side of the USA, in the North Eastern Part of New York State. We have similar weather patterns in the Spring and Fall, where it can be warm and sunny, and within 1 hour have snow falling. I once rode my motorcycle to work, and mid-day a snow storm arrived, and before i could make the 10 mile ride home, I was riding in 6-8 inches of snow on my 750 cc Sport Bike. You just go slow, riding like its all ice, and make smooth control inputs. You should not have any issues with the Snow, as you are a very accomplished rider. Pikes Peak is now on my "bucket list" to go see. Stay safe, and get warm !!
My heart was in my mouth with you riding through the snow. How the heck you saw where you were going amazes me. Keep safe and warm. Sending lots of Scottish love ❤️🏴🏴🏴
I lived close to Nederland, Colorado (Georgetown) and yea, you can never count on the weather in the Rockies. A gorgeous morning would turn into a killer afternoon snow storm. Ride safe! Thanks for your great vids.
Hey Noraly, loving every mile of your, and our adventure, a little trick I learned a long while ago in the UK is to travel with a couple of pairs of those free diesel gloves you get at petrol stations, they make excellent waterproof over gloves for sudden downpours!
I asked a guy who did a lot of motor bike trips .. two things he will bring with him .. he answered "patiente and positivity". You tick also both. Is amazing to see how positive are you when you got a beat by the snow. Safe travel!
I have rode in 14 countries on three continents. It's all about attitude and there are no good stories if nothing bad happens. Adversity will implant in your memory deeper than a uneventful day of good riding.
The edge of the mtn as Noraly was driving had me backing up on my seat. It was so cold "I am over it!", get warm and tostie by the fire and have a well deserved rest Noraly.
I can’t never could… just do it! That’s Noraly! She can overcome any problem, one way or another. Colorado definitely offers weather to suit almost anyone. Pikes Peak is definitely a great ride, the views are phenomenal! You ended the snowy day in great accommodations! Thanks for sharing another day in your adventure! Ride safe Noraly!
That place where you stayed must have looked like heaven after that cold ride. Interesting day of riding on and off road in this episode, thanks for sharing and continued safe travels.
What a wonderful way to wake up here in Oregon... quiet, sunny but cool morning and another inspiring video from Noraly. What a beautiful ride, but ohh, that cold. You are a tough cookie! I can smell those pines. I can feel that cold on my fingers too. You make it seem so easy with your positive and cheery attitude. Can't wait for the next one and the next one... be safe and keep on loving every minute you have on this earth!! ❤❤❤
Sitting on my balcony on the 11th floor in Guatemala City looking at Volcán de Agua, Volcán de Fuego, and Volcán de Acatenango at the horizon during sunset watching your video. The more I watch you the more I get convinced that if you can do your world trips alone on a bike we, a small family of three, can do our version of the same in Central America in a small Jimny. You’re such an inspiration and the trips we have ahead of us will be our dream, our memories for life just as yours are for you. ❤️
Now you can say "Groet uit Nederland ! " again ! Actually, there is a town called Holland in Michigan, USA as well (apparently lot of Dutch settlers settled there back in the day); there was also a Preußisch Holland in East Prussia where Dutch folk had settled- it was close to what is today Kaliningrad.
From my experience in cold weather riding, albeit on a Goldwing, the most helpful accessory to have is heated grips. I think your alternator and battery could handle the power requirements. Fall riding in northern BC and Alaska would be much more enjoyable. You can always run with them off, but really nice back up for exposed hands. Perseverance personified, well done, Noraly.
heated grips are one of the best investment that can be done in any motorcycle that will be used for adventure / touring / long distance. As long as your hands are nimble / usable, you can keep going. but once your hands are frozen, the ride is over. or worse, a permanent injury, if you push too hard. So glad she was close to her goal when the snow started.
@Ronald Salmon not with her brush guards. I have been using them for years and my hands did get cold until I installed brush guards. Such a difference.
Noraly, you've become as fine a filmmaker as you have a rider and adventurer. I was SO excited to finally see you discovering America, and you have more than met expectations. Happy trails to you... until we meet again!
Oh America the beautiful! Yes, she is beautiful! And you, Noraly, are showing her in all It's explendor. Thank you for sharing. Keep enjoying the wet/snowing/cold summer of Colorado 😉
From a Colorado native, I can tell you that late spring into about the second week of June, the weather can be very unforgiving as well as unpredictable. Looks like it was a fun ride, even if a bit cold and wet.
Yeah I don't think she knew what she was in for! I'm in Colorado too, and our place is at 8500' so yeah in May and early June, you never know what you're going to get. Well at least this summer we've been getting a lot of good rains, thank goodness for that! We had 4 inches of rain in one week over near Westcliffe and I can't remember that ever happening, at least not since the late '70's.
Pikes peak🏔, America's Mountain !
Snow and cold or not, i fell in love with CO a little bit here! Nice wooden buildings, uniquely beautiful sceneries, the off road part through forest and wild nature, pass riding, good food, nice people, a lot of diversity…an episode full of adventure and goodies and so nice you found a warm and cosy accomodation! Thanks a lot 🤩!
Amazing views of the Rocky mountains from the drone. Noraly never disappoints her viewers. Colorado in June: snow, rain, hail. You can get all three in one afternoon in the mountains. Hail being the worst thing to ride through by far. Depending on her route she hasn't seen the last of the snow. Ride safe!
Having spent nearly 30 years as a despatch rider, the best solution for hand protection is muffs plus heated grips. You can find muffs that fit over the lever guards - but avoid the ones with a woolly inner fabric - they look warm, but hold water; the waterproof ones have a smooth plastic liner over the thermal layer. For hot-grips try to find ones with a rotary knob for the controller, rather than the ones with push-button controls, otherwise you have to reset the desired power level every time you turn the bike back on. Also try to find ones with harder-plastic grips rather than softer rubber, as the latter melt into your palms on long rides (shortening useful service life but also making your hands filthy). This obviates the need for gloves down to about 0 - 5° C - or else fingerless ones will do if the harder grips cause sore palms. Any fears about obstructing the bars are soon allayed as muscle memory quickly learns what's where..
Great tips, thanks for sharing your experience. It's going to be interesting how/if she upgrades handlebars/grips en route to Alaska, or just the gloves.
Speaking of "Nederland", just the other day I was thinking as I was watching your Moab video that you could travel the entire U.S. continent from sea to sea by just staying in towns with Dutch names. I for example, live near Holland, but there is one or more Hollands in every state. We even have a Tulip Parade every year. You could make an entire Motorcycle Journey visiting all your ancestral towns.
Had the pleasure of living in Colorado years ago, was involved in mineral exploration and like Noraly, spent most of our time off-road. Beautiful state where much of the time you live and work well above sea level. The climate changes quickly, so it's good to see Noraly respecting it. Be safe N!
What a view...Top of the world...Nice one Noraly, Hope all is well with you and Alaska too...Stay safe and enjoy your continued travels 🙂 It's a real joy watching you every week Noraly 🙂
This year had some unusually late winter weather, but yeah, it can happen anytime in the high mountains. Watch out for black ice, which is ice on pavement that is clear and appears like the pavement, and it's very deadly. I love the drone shots. I have a lot of friends who live in Nederland, so it was fun to see that you went there. Thanks for all this, I'll never do it myself.
This was likely early June. The flags in the last episode were likely Memorial Day. CO got hit with a late May/early June snow storm that dumped like 10 inches in Colorado Springs.
Not quite correct she is posting this episode at the middle of August… giving the viewers the impression it is snowing in Colorado in the middle of the
I'm not sure but the trees you've referred to as birch trees may be aspen trees. They both have the similar white bark. Aspens have small, two toned green leaves that shimmer in the breeze. It's pretty cool riding through an aspen grove when the wind is blowing. I'm so happy you're enjoying your riding through the Rockies!
I can understand her thinking because the same species (espenboom or ratelpopulier) in the Netherlands does not show such a white bark. Much more greyish.
Didn't realize that the videos are time delayed by almost two months. According to the weather reports, the last time it snowed near Nederland, Co was May 20th. But this makes sense because otherwise she would get to Alaska in late Fall. In May, even in late May snow can be expected in the Rockies ...
Noraly, if you're riding over a bridge in snowy or icy weather be very careful because bridges freeze faster than the ground due to the air flow under the bridge. You can hit a patch of ice or "black ice" which is not good on a bridge. Stay safe.
One of my early memories was of a day we drove to Nederland from Boulder in my mom's 1960 Rambler. The weather changed (as it often does in the mountains), and we got stuck having to cross the pass going back home after they'd imposed a tire chain requirement. I heard my dad using words that I'd never heard him use before as he worked outside in the wet snow putting them on the car. Ah, the memories I have from growing up in Colorado.. BTW, Noraly, thank you for taking the side trip to Pike's Peak. I haven't been up there in more than 50 years, and I'd almost forgotten what the view was like. It's the closest you'll probably ever get to being in outer space while still standing on the ground!
What a beautiful ride on the dirt road. Hoping that heated grips are in the plan with the upcoming winter attire. You know you can do this! Stay strong!
@lise I think she looks OVER the windscreen, so windshield wipers wouldn't really be necessary. As for riding in the snow...most people would avoid this (because you could obviously lose traction in slick snow or on ice). But, Noraly's probably has a schedule (which avoids the worst of Alaska's winter weather), so she might have to ride on.
Never in my life have I been in a place full of snow, much less have I driven in the snow. Thank you for showing me!. Greetings from Cuernavaca, Mexico.

Well said, sir!!

i enjoy this .. i used to ride .. living my older years through her ...
Sounds like where I am in Melbourne, Australia 😂

Don’t know how much of this you get to read Noraly but wanted to try to let you know that you inspire ppl to do more than just motorcycle journeys (though my wife and I do have motorcycles). Yesterday for instance we watched your videos posted last week and were inspired to go on a paddling adventure. Thanks for your infectiousness!
Yes, she's made me want to go on long road trips with my young son.
Today she inspired me to fish the lakes of Grand Mesa in Colorado. Flyrods loaded and leaving now. Monday morning is wonderful with a rod in hand....
She should ignore speed limits and overtaking restrictions.. the benefit of being European in the US is you must be doing something worthy of jail to be stopped, aside from warnings. Hot springs, and a little jetboil kit for coffee tea miso will all help in the high country! Tot ziens!
She gave you a heart so she definitely saw it. 👍
She has cost me thousands lols , after a while I just had to get another bike and some mosko moto and hit the road had one good 3500km trip so far , love it
Every time I’m having a crummy day, I just watch an episode of Itchy Boots and bam! I’m in a better mood. This channel is therapeutic. Who new?

Noraly, from a country below sea level to a land of the free and above the clouds. What a gal, what a journey. Thanks Noraly 🇿🇦🇿🇦👍
I lived in Colorado for many years. One time I stopped at a red light in June, it was sunny except for one cloud rushing towards me. All of a sudden it darkened, wind blew hard and rain fell and turned to snow for a few seconds then back to rain. Then the wind stopped and the light turned green. True story.
The views that Noraly shows us of Pike's Peak beats everything I've seen in the races there.
It seems like the last time it snowed in Nederland was April 17, so four month lag in episodes/real time?
I believe that the trees you are calling birch trees are quaking aspens.
Noraly the snow woman, has a jolly happy soul, she rides those mountains rain or shine, even when it snows 👍

Hi Noraly. Im sure you already know this tip. I always ride with a couple of pairs of latex gloves in my tool roll. They have been priceless a couple of times when the weather changes. In India they saved me from frost bite as they not only keep your hands dry but also act as wind stoppers.... I just asked in a garage if I could buy a pair and they gave me a hand full ( no pun intended )
Stay safe and thank you for your videos and blogs and entertaining and inspiring.

The way you put together all those camera angles and drone shots is nothing short of amazing. Noraly, you are most definitely a master craftsman at what you do. I m totally addicted to getting up in the mornings and joining you for your rides!
I've lived here since the 70's and have never lost appreciation of how beautiful it is
I love the town of Nederland, been there a few times, I am also from the Netherlands, but have lived in the US 50 years, enjoy your videos so much👍🌷
Im from Denmark but i have been a lot in the US ( working with wind turbines), and i have to say Colorado is one of my favorite states, the area around colorado springs and Pikes Peak is so beautiful and different from Denmark where i live.
You hear a lot of negative stuff about the US in the media, but that is not my experiance with the US, almost all the people i met were very friendly and open, and the different senery state to state is amazing
I think if you stay away from the bigger cities back east you will find most Americans are very kind and generous people.
Mainstream media is all about the negative. When they have nothing bad to say, they'll make it up. The gov pays them to keep people scared and obedient, and will censor any truths.
Noraly exhibits Aloha ! And please note that it’s the midsized cities in the South and Midwest which are the most dangerous per capita
That is because like other countries, our government is horrendous - but regular people are great (I live in Chicago).

As a Canadian, I would advise having winter gear with you at all times here, especially at the higher elevations. Remember, our fall is like your winter back in The Netherlands.
@@szolanek , no , or she would already have her winter gear.
@@siddithers5356 or 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter, construction season.

Thank you for your service 🇺🇸
Yes
I think she is well into Canada when the Sturgis gathering was taking place. The videos air several weeks after her passing through an area, I think. I'm guessing this video was in late May to mid-June, judging by the snow accumulation on Pikes Peak.
The two times I have ridden Colorado I couldn't ride Pikes Peak because of smoke, and storms. Oh well, there was plenty more to see.
Noraly is a little too late to stop in for the Sturgis Rally. I don't think it would be her cup of tea with 500,000 motorcycles and all the wild parties. lol
She may ride a couple weeks ahead of her videos but I don't it's much more than that.
Now I want to visit Pike's Peak too because of that landmark about "America The Beautiful", it's one of my Dad's favorite songs... He loved to sing it when he was still around..He is in heaven now..... I must say the song touches my heart everytime I sing it!....Thank you so much Noraly! 👍
Goodness gracious me 😳. I'm glad you got through the snowstorm safely. You've got a lot of people praying for your safety 🙏.
Gracias... gracias Noraly por permitirnos viajar contigo y conocer lugares maravillosos. Eres la mejor
It was the camera lens that was obscured by the snow, not her goggles

I lived close to Nederland, Colorado (Georgetown) and yea, you can never count on the weather in the Rockies. A gorgeous morning would turn into a killer afternoon snow storm. Ride safe! Thanks for your great vids.
God bless America !!!!! Thank you God for blessing us with this great and beautiful nation.

You are a strong lady, I do not like the cold at all. Enjoying your videos. God Bless
@Ronald Salmon probably, but the great thing about heated grips is they are always there...just press the button.
I use handlebar muffs. In combination with heated grips or heated gloves a perfect solution.
@Ronald Salmon not with her brush guards. I have been using them for years and my hands did get cold until I installed brush guards. Such a difference.
heated grips are nice but even hand deflectors. Cheap plastic hand guards.

Get Warm

Be safe N!

@@jpcheco she says she delays her videos. She was in Canada in late june.
I was always curious about the delay in her videos. I assumed the same time frame, considering the foliage on the aspens.
I caught the same thing
I can understand her thinking because the same species (espenboom or ratelpopulier) in the Netherlands does not show such a white bark. Much more greyish.
This is true. There are no white birch trees in the Colorado Rockies. They are all Aspens

Didn't realize that the videos are time delayed by almost two months. According to the weather reports, the last time it snowed near Nederland, Co was May 20th. Noraly, if you're riding over a bridge in snowy or icy weather be very careful because bridges freeze faster than the ground due to the air flow under the bridge. You can hit a patch of ice or "black ice" which is not good on a bridge. Stay safe.

Noraly...I like the drama and the majestic views...Thank you, Geoff
@@kenc2257 And she was actually kind of lucky to find a room. It was before school was out or she wouldn't have been able to just walk in.
