1 thing ill say is the smaller tires have to rotate more times in the same distance than the original tires so your speedometer is off only way to truly compare is with the Dragy gps, the 6.2 definitely is capable especially with a bit more boost since you have the right guy to hook you up.

its an off road vehicle, thats why they build it with flat discs. you dont want dirt and rocks to stick to your discs

It’s an off road vehicle . Mud and sand will quickly get stuck in those tiny ventilation holes completely destroying the wheel and suspension balance as well as brake performance because it’s very hard even for pressure washers to remove the debree that stuck inside , that’s why TRX brakes don’t have these vent holes
@@emmakeuken7436in case you haven’t driven any trucks like this before, but the brakes work just fine, that being said these have a big rolling resistance, it’s not like a car where when you let off you’ll go relatively the same speed for a while

Cool story. We measured our 2004 RAM SRT-10 (manual gearbox) at 167mph using GPS. With just 506hp and the leaf springs at the rear, that's really undriveable. From 230km/h the doors open (you can throw a newspaper through the gap) ;-) We drove it with the standard tyres, which are specified up to 280 km/h.

That’s crazy!
But people always think weight it’s bad for top speed, when in fact it has nearly no impact. It’s all about drag coefficient and power. It takes longer to accelerate, but if you have the power (and gear, which you always do with those 8 speeds) you have the top speed.
That’s why even tho bullet trains have the worst power to ratio (around 10.000 hp for a TGV and over 300 tons), that’s more than 30kg/hp, the TRX has only 5kg/hp, they can still reach over 300kph.
The same reason why an E60 M5 has a higher top speed than a 992 GT3 RS. Both have very similar power, and even tho the 911 is much lighter thus having a better power to weight ratio, it has a worse drag coefficient (it’s optimized for downforce and not top speed).
What is scary is how much energy the TRX is caring at those speeds, as kinetic energy 1/2mv^2, (m = mass/v=speed) it means that when the speed doubles, its kinetic energy quadruples.
I had a close call on the autobahn with a truck once, in an Audi S6 doing 240~250. When you actually have to break hard at those speed it’s when you realize how much energy is going. With the Audis soft suspension it was quite sketchy and the car completely dived. Can’t imagine with those tiny TRX brakes and soft suspension. A G Wagon is scary enough. Be safe out there!

You should have measured with gps. The tires have a much smaller diameter so the tachometer is way off.
American here from the motor city hellcat motor is a 6.2L 378c supercharged motor, 392 is a 6.4L n/a

The hellcat engine is actually a 6.2L , and a scat pack engine is a 6.4L natrually aspirated engine

@@javiergimenez9621 Ford had two years to benchmark the TRX and it's maybe .2 seconds faster from 0-60mph, I wouldn't say it's way better at all. For the price you can buy a used TRX for half the cost of an R.

Ich hab auch an der Stelle 11:40 nachgerechnet, durch zurückgelegte Strecke in eine Sekunde, berechnet durch die Anzahl der Leitlinien, an denen ihr vorbeigekommen seid. Dort seid ihr ja anscheinend 260-270 gefahren, aber laut meinen Berechnungen waren es nur 225km/h.
Soll jetzt keine Anschuldigung sein, dass das Video nicht der Wahrheit entspricht, sondern eher zum aufmerksam machen ob etwas übersehen wurde.
Vielleicht liegt der Fehler auch bei mir.
Auch wenn der Trx viel Leistung hat, kommen mir die 285km/h fast zu schnell vor.
Trotzdem geile Aktion 😂

Need a gps reading for speed. Smaller tires are going to make the stock speedometer show you’re going faster than you are.
I used to think that stock one can speed up to 200kmh. What kinda MOD it has to reach that speed?

The RAM doesn't weigh 3,500kgs, it weighs 2,800kgs. 3,500kgs is the maximum weight authorized in the United States as a "light" class vehicle.
