The worst thing is to think that this 200Mp zoom sensor present in this Vivo is designed by Samsung, but is not present in any Galaxy S, and will certainly not be present in the future S25 and S26 Ultra 🤦🏽♂️

there is a doubt because the s24 ultra has more noise reduction and sharpness, it doesn't have a better shot compared to the s23 ultra. i tested this myself stacking the images in photoshop and aligning them. the s23 ultra is still the king
You like challenges and it shows in your videos ;) Samsung is not atomized by Vivo far from it... but it is clear that this type of sensor in the Vivo device is the way to follow for users who are increasingly keen on medium to long distance zoom and for macro. Today buyers can't go wrong with the UW and W and even X3 and X5 when it comes to Ultras phones. the difference will be in these extreme ranges and the free AI in the software. This is just my opinion and I expect a lot from the next Ultra generation to do my choice.
Fully agree. Samsung needs to step up its photo game. It isn't bad it's just the competition is ahead... If all the leaks for the Z Fold 6 prove right then it will be the same camera setup for 3 years. Google did that with Pixel, iPhones also itterated with smaller increments...
@@VelianSpeaksTech This is what bothers me with this Korean and these Americans, is that they are content to do very well with minimal adjustment of the hardware and a lot of software optimizations for several years to keep in shape (we are not going to spit on the profits without doing anything). The 2 main smartphone sellers will have problems continuing with this policy... at least that's what I believe...
1) for more stable shots on galaxy ultra you can set the timer and and use Spen to initiate the timer. 2) to get same shot, like the tower, you can try to put tower in middle of screen in each phone with shutter button as reference to center point. this will help you get almost same images in all phones. Appreciate your content. you are the rare tubers who are still comparing cameras of S24ultra and S23ultra.f
Thanks for all the awesome comparison videos. Please consider comparing battery life as well. There's no proper battery comparison for x100ultra out yet.
@@VelianSpeaksTech Did that already, move scenarios needed :) Looks like a huge difference is about to be expected, but I didn't get S24U to compare to S23U....wonder if those two are the same in such confitions?
Bro, watching your Camera Comparison and after spending the day taking pictures with my S23 Ultra, I discovered a Bug that affected your device during the test... the S23 Ultra produces jumps in the screen recording, when the camera application is in use at high zoom ranges, even when there are slight movements on the device. If screen recording is interrupted, the S23 Ultra's stabilization is as good as or even better than that of the Vivo X100 Ultra. This is yet another bug for Samsung to fix.
In one video where you compare the capabilities of the maximum photo zoom: Xiaomi 14 ultra with iPhone 15 pro max and Samsung galaxy s24 ultra - Xiaomi 14 ultra confidently won. In this case, you simply must compare the maximum zoom of Vivo x100 ultra and Xiaomi 14 ultra.

sasmung is the only company who degrades their product every new generation, I mean look at S23ultra still giving better shots than S24ultra thanks to 10X sensor vs 5X on S24ultra. Samsung just want to imitate Apple but they never will be able to achieve the Apple smoothness
@@VelianSpeaksTech Never mind. Upcoming Oppo Find X8 Ultra could outperform the vivo X100 Ultra's 200MP periscope telephoto camera in terms of zooming. I can't wait.
I think so as well, the Vivo X100 U is fine but its very soon going to be old gen with 8gen3, and the FX8U will be the current gen. I hope they will bring it globally.
Samsung was never "the king" when it comes to zoom. It's one thing what you see in viewfinder (it's pretty much amazing how much of a distance can phones reach these days), but whole another story when you look at the result in gallery (and see Samsungs processing ruining almost everything)
Well it probably was with more recent Ultras, or even S20U, but nowadays its a different story. My point anyway is that you can rarely get very usable footage >20x or even sometimes >10x but its amazing how the Vivo stabilizes the viewfinder at 100x. And then also in the output Vivo outperforms in 10x/20x/100x.
You can set a minimum processing of the photos from the camera settings on S24 Ultra. That will return far more realistic rendition at the cost of more noise and less oversharpening.
Really bad example of zoom photos, there's haze in the atmosphere caused by heatwave when shooting so far away, should've chosen to zoom on a nearby building which has more texture and because of the shorter distance would have not been prone to that haze resulting maybe in different results. Clearly x100 is better at long focal lengths but could've seen better how s23 compares to s24.
I have tons of videos of S23U vs S24U with all the different updates they got, I picked that scenario on purposes exactly because it`s hard + it`s easier for AI to draw around and process buildings, billboards, even text... but with woods/greenery, or even soft fabric, this is when things gets tough.
Well my main objective in this video was to test the viewfinder stabilization, not even so much the output. eg photos. But I did that as well anyway, also when zooming it sky, its harder for the phones... But take this as an stabilization test.
