I've got this in all black, got it for MSRP with a few other options like active exhaust out the door for just shy of 63,000, after some dealer options from Ford like protective coats and service plans.
Much more than you would expect a few years ago, but in this economy (old man yells at cloud) I'm glad I could get it since it's a dream car for me. I absolutely love it, the screens remind me of the old Star Trek TNG bridge piloting stations, and it is an absolute joy to drive in manual around town.
Couldn't be happier, but I do agree it would be nice to run 3rd to redline sometimes, but it just goes too fast too quick. Backseat space is basically unusable for people over the age of 12, but I just tell people it's a two seater with upholstered grocery holders.
Steering is great for me, I didn't get it dampened so I can feel the feedback better, never felt like I couldn't handle it and I'm not trying to outdrive the car 98% of the time. It feels sporty enough for me, but it shines completely when it's driven like a muscle car.
Ford is still making good, old-fashioned American Muscle, and if you're into that I can't imagine how someone would be disappointed with it. The sound and the feeling are second to none.

Not being able to hit 3rd gear all the way through because you’re going “way too fast” is both great and sad. It’s one of those things that these fast cars suffer from, that we all find gratifying in cars like GR86 or even short-gear ratio’d VB WRXs (new one)

Good video!!! What’s cool about the Mustang is that with only a few bolt-ons you can get the car to 500 rwhp. With some lighter rims & some Steeda suspension you can very quickly enhance the Mustang way above the Camero SS & any other competitors. If you order the car with PP you are crazy not to also include the AE exhaust to secure the 6 hwp & 3 torque. I have seen over 7 videos where dyno results pick up another 12-17 rwhp by yanking the carbon filters out of the dual intakes. Add an AWE exhaust + kooks headers w/sport cats + 170 thermostat & a Ford performance tune or Whipple tune or RTR tune and tuned to E85 fuel and you easily have 540 rwhp. Seen this done now on over 20+ S650 Mustangs & 560-570 rwhp on the Dark Horse. The total cost is ~~~$5K, which includes the stop-the-hop Steeda & dual-rate springs + full exhaust. Now let’s see the other cars match that. Plus Whipple SC generation 6 Stage II kicks out 855 hwp for $12K installed with matching 3 year warranty with the Ford provided ECU/ECM Encryption. Ford provided the encryption to Whipple, RTR & Ford Performance/ Roush!!! So the better driving S650 over the S550 can be daily driven with 855 hwp without building your motor; (OPG + crank sprocket). Two years later get the carbon drive shaft for longer durability:)
The 7 gen Mustang is the better interior comfort for daily driving over all the other competitors. So boost it and YOU RULE like at BK :) Ford did us proud!!!

Great video this new gen looks amazing. I have a suggestion for all the car reviewers out there: would you consider doing a charging pad test for those of us who have wireless phones with cases?
With the new iPhones and other phones with nice cameras, some phones with cases never seem to lay flat enough anymore to work on wireless charging pads. I’d love to see tests to see if wireless charging pads on cars will still charge them.
Yeah I know my request is very niche, and I could just go case-less, but just an idea. Love all your vids keep up the great work. 🐎

Some days I like raw, others, I like refined. Great cars in their own times. I gotta add though, was the back seat of ANY Mustang really all that user friendly to passengers? I think it may have been done in the earlier days for insurance reasons. Push comes to shove, I CAN fit a car seat in the GT500, and have in my '94 GT, and in my '99 as well. So it is technically usable, but not friendly.

These S650’s aren’t anything special. A LOT of parts are reused, the screens are hideous, I’m not personally a fan of the headlights or taillights, and Ford ruined the manual gearboxes with the horrid ratios. I would’ve loved to see a complete redesign like the Camaro got for the 16 model year, a lighter and greatly improved chassis as well as much greater performance. My biggest annoyance is that they give you the garbage single tip exhaust if you don’t get the active when 2018-2023 had quad tips no matter what.

The correct answer would be 2025 Mustang Cobra.

Wait for the second version of this S650 the wacky Tesla like screens and no switches or buttons is a bit of a Ford experiment to see if people like it , If we go off what Ford did with S550, the second iteration will be much better, like we saw the FN was a million times better over FM. I think Ford will go back to some classic buttons and switches and increase HP and better give us a much better 10sp auto thats shifts more smoothly quicker than the clunkier 10sp that we got on the FN GT 5.0 , plus different hood for the very last Mustang in 2025 26 .

Mark my words ladies and gentlemen,
The S650 generation of Mustang's will _NOT_ age well. This new interior is drowning in a sea of digital wizardry. There will come a time when the inclusion of an analog gauge(s) will be touted as a "new/special" feature in future vehicles.
However, it will likely cost you _more_ for "old tech" so to speak. It is kind of sad to see how far we have sunken into the abyss of technology's grasp.
Alas, I must bid a final farewell to the iconic Ford Mustang. You were my first true love (1968 J-Code • 11.71@121mph • ~9mpg) and my first heartache. RIP.

I hate the screens on this, but I love the digital dash on the 18-23’s. I like technology, but not like this when it looks like a Kia Telluride dropped in.

I just don’t get why people would say a manual gearbox is superior to an automatic, when the auto can shift gears all you want 🤷🏽‍♂️

@jaaytv2839 Having paddles does not mean you're in control of the transmission. That's fine if they're okay for you, but they are not the same.

@@amiller2121 if paddles SHIFTERS change the gears , then it controls the transmission guy

    • @amiller2121
      @amiller2121 5 месяцев назад +2

@jaaytv2839 Sorry Jay, you're naive if you think that. If you were driving a Porsche PDK, or even the DCT in the C8 Corvette, I would concede. But automatics in regular cars don't always shift when you want - the computer decides if it's going to let you. Manual transmissions don't have that problem.
