Flabbergasted when I saw her use water tentacles. To me it was advanced magic manipulation, also 220 dmg is crazy. Im gonna grind all day and night on Maria.
that's interesting, considering i loved her theme, but fighting her was pure agony. it was like trying to fight commodore kai if he was always jumping around like some sort of ape. the tentacle attack left her invincible, and she spams the hell out of it on her first phase. on her second, unless you board the deck of the ship, you are a sitting duck at the bow or stern after the tentacle attack, considering that she might just shoot you. the difficulty curve is larger than elius', and the sheer amount of agony i felt is of the same level as that roblox guy with the beautiful black hair for beautiful people and the flannel shirt. what made you enjoy her fight? was it everything that made me hate it?
I see your point, the boss isn’t exactly easy. I usually enjoy the extra challenge, which is why I like going to the nimbus sea, so I can beat up the 2 navy majors that they sent after me. but I feel as though maria is a massive difficulty increase, and she’s stronger than Calvus. the ruler of a powerful kingdom. with a lost magic. it feels unfair fighting her, unless you’re an absolute unit with 2000 hp, a recovery IV fish dinner, and an ironskin III pot. I’m curious, what do you find easy? is it the downtime you’re given when you’re out of the way of the tentacles?
yeah i move around a lot during the fight and my build is knight i also like destroying the prisons in sameria and demolishing the navy afterwards@@marmthefelon
@@CallMePipani i too love crushing the navy. also that's fair enough, since knight is pretty tanky. i have a tanky 2000 hp warrior, and a 1500 hp crazy ahh damage mage. the mage experiences a phenomenon known only as pain. maybe i'm just too used to enemies like calvus. and similar to calvus, i'll probably get used to maria... only time will tell.
To anyone struggling with this boss,literally just sit on the top deck and use ranged attacks and high jump when she uses the arms. I beat her on my second attempt using this strategy.
This was one of the easier bosses for me, I beat her on my first try with my lvl120 lightning conjurer (admittedly cut it close because of the invincibility frames)

i can say with full confidence maria is one of, if not, my favourite boss in the game so far

Yeah thats what I did lol. Theres still 2 attacks that can hit you while there in phase two, but other than that it works.
just don't take too long without damaging her because her health will reset if you don't deal damage to her while up for too long
Oh yeah thats another thing you have to look out for
Every Npc has a hp reset if you don't damage them for some time (idk about npcs from ships but criminals and bosses can reset their hp).
Can't wait for the Other bosses to drop
