I chose this piece for my Solo and Ensemble piece before even looking at the sheet music. As I was listening to it I was like “I can play that” and when I looked at the sheet music I was like, “Oh… I don’t know if I can play that” got the music today and practiced for a solid two hours, and now I can play the majority of the first page, I surprise myself a little bit because I thought this was going to be more of a challenge than it was, especially at the start. I’m going to be listening to this recording religiously for the next threeish months. I’m a senior in high school and I want to blow the judges away with how good it’ll sound after a few months of practice!!
I know whenever I look for good recordings and Jasmine Choi comes up, I'm set to save to the playlist 👏🏻👏🏻 So gorgeous! And your Carmen Fantasy was definitely one of the first things sparked the desire to make this whole music thing my career path for me back in middle school when the recording was brand new :)

Another wonderful performance of a piece that was new to me. From the solemn to the lyrical to the vibrant, this piece has many parts, and you play them all with such grace and beauty. It was really the lovely last part that seemed the most Hungarian to me, with a passage at 9:00 or so that reminded me strongly of a czardas. Another favorite of mine is the lyrical flight that starts at 5:28, and is an utter joy to listen to. Another glorious new piece from your channel. Thank you.

Superb and satisfying performance Jasmine. Beautiful tone and technique. I've challenged myself to learn this (don't know whether I could do it from memory though). Prefer it to even Pahud's version.
