How is he OP? I’d be worried if he struggled against Steppenwolf. There’s no way that the 5 Justice League members before Superman showed up shouldn’t have been able to take him. But plot I guess.
I'm a marvel and dc guy and this film became one of my all time best comic book movies of all time a masterpiece and WB shot themselves in the foot they wanted to sit on this.
@@JezzaSezza to be fair they weren't all.fighting him. Bruce was tactical support vs Parademons and Barry was charging up to stop the Unity. Cyborg was in the fight for a bit, but then when Steppenwolf got distracted, he went for the Mother Boxes. Basically it was Steps vs WW and AM.
And yet they all still played a necessary part in winning. Anyone who thinks Zack doesn't understand these characters is a moron

This final battle was 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Easily one of the best final battles I’ve ever seen from a DC Superhero film. Overall, Zack Snyder’s Justice League is easily one of the greatest superhero movies I’ve ever seen that deserved its hype.

One thing I liked about the original is the way he says “kryptonian” before Superman arrives. The way he says it shows just how afraid he is of Superman.

I prefer it this way because Steppenwolf as a character as one Endgame goal: Going Home. Instead of "Kryptonian" to show that hes afraid, smashing the ground with his fist shows a lot more. It means he knows he's outmatch, he knows he blew his chance at a well earned victory by playing with his prey (Cyborg) Instead of just stabbing him instantly, and it shows he knows he's completely fucked. All he can do is just wait for the Unity.
Remember when he talked to Desaad? "No lanterns. No Kryptonians."
They were the biggest threats to him and Darkseid.

With this it shows just how arrogant Steppenwolf is even with this clear failure he has. Its more in character and gives a bit of tension with whats happening.
Henry cavill is the superman we need but not the one we deserve.

Idc what anyone says. This is one of the greatest scenes in a superhero movie. The movie itself may not be the best but Henry Cavill is the best live action Supermen ever.

Whats so fundamentally right about this entire last battle is the fact that the team could not have done without even one of the members. Superman is their strongest guy, but without Flash they couldn't get the power needed, and without Cyborg they could not win.
Yeah. Even Aquaman and Batman did useful stuff here. In the original, the League was useless against Steppenwolf, who was in turn useless against Superman.
It's too bad we'll never get the "I feel like I live in a world made of CARDBOARD!" speech from Cavill's Superman.
When Wonder Woman smiled, that was low-key beautiful. She KNEW it was over for Steppenwolf.

Throughout the course of the whole movie we saw Steppenwolf hack, chop, maul, beat and kill hundreds of Amazonians, Atlanteans, and humans. We saw him give the Justice League itself absolute hell and who were powerless to stop him. We saw him collect all the Mother Boxes and almost succeeded in his plains. Then we saw an Earth raised Kryptonian fresh from the grave come back to life. That's were the Steppenwolf story ends.😂🤷🏿♂

I like Danny Elfman's score for Justice League, especially the nods to Superman (1978) and his own score for Batman (1989), but Junkie XL's score for Zack Snyder's Justice League is better.

The nods are the only thing i liked otherwise I hated his score it felt so out of place. Granted in his defense he was hired at the last minute and had only a month if that to make the score so it wasn’t Danny Elfman at his best

@@H.K.5 That doesn't make sense. There wasn't much on Superman's part leading up to such an extreme display of violence. Not that he doesn't or hasn't, but there's usually a lot of build up and visible anger every time. Here he just shows up with a smirk, delivers a "cool" line, and starts bashing away.

Well the thing is that at this point cyborg had already engaged in battle with Steppenwolf, his "defenses" had been up since they entered the enemy dome, also we Know that cyborg continues to evolve and work on his habilities as the movie progresses, so it is possible that after getting stomped by Superman, he either deactivated or simply learned to control his defense systems to avoid unwanted engagements... And all of this things can be implied... If they were addressed directly it would be weird... Sht you could even say cyborgs radar or whatever had already picked up Superman flying in from orbit...

This scene felt great after wondering if Henry Cavill is still Superman, but now it’s bittersweet due to Cavill confirming he’s no longer Superman after being in Black Adam 2 months before James Gunn and Peter Safran let him go.

That was a nice little bit of detail when WW confronted Steppenwolf again. Seeing Kal-El join the fight had put a smile on her face.

Maybe they moved during the little edit, given they're superhuman speed, it's really just plot and cinematography related

Much as I kinda despise Zack Snyder's work on the DCEU, I did enjoy the Snyder Cut to a degree, and the one defense I'll give it is against the criticism of Superman destroying Steppenwolf's axe.
You're right, just freezing metal on its own doesn't cause it to become as brittle as glass. Suddenly, spontaneously freezing superheated metal on the other hand, however, does, because of the temperate extremes. Steppenwolf's axe was crackling with all that electricity, and thus all that heat, prior to Superman freezing and shattering it.
