You're right, you can watch the guy in the middle do weird things like fan cards backwards (left handed as chacha said). The queen of clubs was -nearly- on the top you can see it on the bottom of his packet.

They dont film an episode at a time, they film a dozen performances in a row and then mix and match them afterwords to form episodes that work together based on how well the magicians did. So she has to wear the same thing throughout so they can slot any tricks into any episode after the fact.
As someone who has often known the future before it happened, I believe in ESP, clairvoyance, clairaudience, other types of psychic ability. I think if we actually stopped squashing children's belief in "Magick," we would have a world that is much more exciting and worthwhile for everyone.
Brook is really a good hastiest. But making her wear that sleazy outfit every time is demeaning to her, She should be able to choose different clothes like Alyson did..
It is sleazy to a Mennonite I would suppose, and demeaning to a feminist but no one wants either of them on a stage? I'm not in the theatre world anymore, but there is a unwritten but GENERALLY universal rule, that if the focus on stage is a girl, she must be the most attractive, most appealingly dressed woman in the room, if you as the director don't do that, you won't have your job long and you'll be back writing for academic journals or being a grip. That girl undoubtedly works full time on her appearance, she gets paid very well for it, and the costumer has made spectacularly appropriate dress for this show and location.
Plants are not allowed to be used on this show neither is an instant stooge. The trick has to be fully disclosed to the producers and if they do something that’s not disclosed they will not allow it and it would never be aired
