    I’m so glad I saw this video. Over the last few years I’ve been thinking how battery tool technology has progressed in an exponential way. For a very long time it was just drills, now we even have battery powered ride on lawn mowers, which is just quite incredible. We are at the point now where the range of battery powered equipment is not only superior in performance, but includes items that can only exist because of battery technology. True innovation. There will always be a place for gas or diesel power, and I don’t think people should get caught up in the “only one can be the winner” argument. We should just choose the product that suits our situation and need, and enjoy the choices we have available.

If they could figure out how to refill that battery as fast as we fill up our gas tank. I cant see it as a possibility right now. But my mind is alot smaller than these people that got us here. Where are we gonna get all the elements to supply the demand for electric automobiles? Like i said its a opinion from a pawn thats pff the board

In some ways, the 20years from 2020 to 2040 will be the ultimate of the best of both worlds. Peak ICE technology and an incredible range of other technologies. I’m a dewalt guy but one of the best batteries ever made was the Makita 7.2v cordless drill back in the 80s. The battery life of that thing was phenomenal. And ever since, batteries have gone down hill. Run times shorter. Replacement life, shorter. I have my own DeWalt, work supplies Milwaukee. I like mine better but they both have issues.

    This makes me think it would he a good idea to have a large water container in the attic. That way when you get your power cut, you can use the generator or solar during the day to fill the tank. Once filled, gravity should assist with the water pressure, plus it should stay pretty warm up there if you heat the house at all.

    • @hausplans
      @hausplans  Год назад

      I don’t think your attic could support the weight unless it’s had some sort of special engineering. Water is heavy! That tank in the video is over 4000 pounds

    Agreed. Grinders are horrible for battery use🪫. I completed a deck that took a week to complete and my drill battery 🔋 lasted all day and only charged at night. I was surprised. It reminds me of cell phone reception. Somewhere it goes back to wires to complete the work like charging. Also big jobs like sending lots of information in a bad reception area is basically impossible. Not sure if that was articulated correctly.
