I bought the 2.0 gr version.I just love the way it looks.consumption is in the 40s minimum.but the power is way better than the 1.8.the ten year warranty is a bonus
Me too. The 2L is great. It can easily overtake mercs and beemers even I find! And if you're frugal enough, you also get that amazing fuel economy... it's the best of both worlds.... good economy on the one hand and also decent punch when you need it...
It's still loud and plasticy though. I wish they make the sound insulation and overall quality better. That's why I spent a bit more money and bought a Lexus. They are great cars.
@AndyGrouch the money goes to the reliable powertrain and parts. Not amenities like most european cars and cut costs on reliability. Get Lexus if you want luxury taste, but still the same reliability. PVC parts are actually extremely reliable and last decades, unlike leather or rubber.
hello! My friend can I ask something because i have a Toyota corolla of 2020 1.8 hybrid and I bought it last month and it has 3800 milometer mileage then every time I filled with full tank gas then it has just 750 KM mileage to drive that was shown on the dush board. And what do you think the different about your corolla because in full tank on your dush board display can drive up to 1074 KM. Do you think mine is normal has only 750Km full tank because it's new or may be ther is a problem on it?
This is terrible. My old Audi A8 quattro 3.0 Turbo diesel 233 hp diesel consumption on the highway is the same if not lower. 6/ 100 Good job Toyota. Same consumption as V6 and Audi is more than 2000 kilogrammes and it's 11 years old The economy is only in the city I guess
Yeah the difference is that audi is using diesel fuel which is 30% more efficient by design. It all comes down to taxation and politics really which is the most economical way to drive. Also if all the people in cities drove hybrids there would be much less pollution which also counts for something and as you see that toyota does under 4l/100 in the city which is far less even than a diesel car which are pretty economical to begin with.
The same as Auris 2013, at 143 km/h in speedometer (130Km/h actual speed 10%off ) you will get about 6 - 6.5 L/100 Km. The most efficient way for Auris or Newer 2020 Corolla hybrid 1.8 L is by driving at 10m behind truck or bus. I consistently get 3.5L /100 Km at 99Km/h speedometer reading. For newer Toyota, all come with standard adaptive cruise control, it will match the speed of the vehicle in front of you, much easier to do. Without any car in front of you the maximum mpg is at 70Km/h, you will get 3.5 L/100Km.
@xx404notfound dude, I drove behind the bus for more than a decade. It is much safer than driving behind regular cars that can stop much faster. Truck and bus take much longer time to slow down. The danger is not braking reaction, but something fall down from them. Unfortunately, I had more incidents from cars and SUV that drives irresponsible and not well maintained. Radar cruise control matches the speed reliably behind big vehicles better. Just keep the distance safe enough, 100m is just right and the effect on MPG is still huge. 3.5L/100 km vs 4.5.

I asked myself the same question. Was the trip uphill and against the wind in both directions? Did he take the air out of the tires and replace it with sand?
Toyota needs to being these to North America and we can do our own fuel consumption tests.
