  • Hello everybody!
This is day 2 of me playing chess everyday until I reach the rating goal of 2500 ELO!
Yesterday I managed to win with the white pieces and today I was determined that I am going to keep my winning streak alive. I was having the white pieces once again, but this time my opponent played the Petrov's Defense or Russian Game.
He sacrificed the pawn right the way with Stafford Gambit I wasn't really sure what I was doing. I had a better position but was running out of time really fast so I played quickly from there on!
Make sure to watch the video until the end to see if I was able to win once again!

I liked the video. I think your accent and your matter-of-fact delivery adds weight to your commentary and analysis (whether you’re actually right or not! 🙂)
Also nice to see a ~2000 player sharing their improvement journey. You’re obviously a good player and you seemed pretty confident. I was a bit surprised that you felt you had no time with 3m30 on the clock - that may have led to the rushing that nearly threw the game (but then your opponent was also guilty with twice the time!) I was also surprised that you weren’t looking to push your connected passers earlier as that seemed to be the key to a win.

After the move h3, there is a checkmate with the move Qxf2!

I wish you would have spent more time in your analysis of moves 15-20, where your one-pawn advantage was slowly eroded until you were playing for a draw. I feel like that should be your focus, so you don't let those advantages slip away

Yeah, probably you are right I will try to focus more on crucial points of the game in the analysis in the near future!
