Day 53: Playing Chess Everyday Until 2500 ELO!
This is day 53 of me playing chess everyday until I reach the rapid rating of 2500 ELO!
Today I was having the white pieces and I opened the game with pawn to e4. My opponent surprised me a lot by playing pawn to d5, known as the Scandinavian defense.
Position was much better for black out of the opening, but I was fighting on, finding very tricky resources!
Make sure to watch the video until the end to see if I managed to win day 53 game!

I love fast chess so i play 5min games but am kinda stuck around 850 as i havent done much theory work, not a fan of chess books though :) i guess longer format to take more time in openings makes sense, am preety good (debatable:) at adapting in midgame i guess

    35.44: "Even Nf6 is kind of weird allowing e5, but e5 is not really good." But why would you say that?. I consider 6.e5 to be the best move...or at least 6.a3 and then 7.e5. I was wondering why you didn´t play these moves since both of these moves come with tempo, which is crucial in this playing style, I believe. I was also surprised you played dxc5. I would have thougt that´s a no-go. I think there´s the "pawns only take pawns towards the center"-thump-rule in these tactics especially when it comes to Black´s expected c5 flanking attack. Interesting game, nonetheless. Your opponent reminded me of how my late 90´s chess-computer would try to play against me on its highest level. Except, of course ...my chess computer would always lose. Lol.

    • @forky_chess
      @forky_chess 2 дня назад

      Thanks for your extensive feedback! Playing e5, when your bishop is on f4 already seems kind of weird for me, because I can't push pawn to f4 and f5. Also playing a3, just bishop takes knight and some pawn storm will about to happen, opening your king. For taking c5 I have no excuse, I thought it was a free pawn, but I completely missed Qa5 fork. Even if I would be able to defend c5 pawn, taking on c5 is always a bit tricky opening the c-file! Thanks for your commentary, it means a lot to me :)

      Thanks for the question! I have my own playlist dedicated to the Ruy Lopez and Italian game will need to wait for some period of time for now. But thanks for asking anyway :)

      Off course! With the white pieces try out the Ponziani, it is a very tricky and underrated opening and with the black pieces try to play some rare systems as well, maybe the Modern or the Alehkine defense! Please let me know how you are doing in the near future :)
