I leave a new generation of fans to enjoy the music of Metallica... Maybe I've gone through too much as a fan w/ them to see them the way I used to when they were a champion of heavy metal. They've gone through the word 'suicide' too many times in their career.
A lot of Metallica songs are based on social issues and mental health issues. Thats one one the things I always loved about their music. Notice how in the lyrics he mentions craving dopamine which I believe is the biggest cause of depression By what I mean is a dopamine imbalance. Craving drugs and alcohol or both which temporary raises dopamine levels which temporarily helps the depression. Which is a vicious cycle. I believe that depression is a brain chemistry imbalance and is nothing to be ashamed of. I believe there is far better treatment's than toxic pharmaceutical drugs which usually is not very effective. I think they have far better success with psychedelic treatments like micro dosing under a professional care with LSD, Psilocybin which has proven to rewire the brain. Also, ketamine has been proven very effective with professional watch.
Hope down the line you'll react to Bleeding Me, The House Jack Built, The Outlaw Torn, Devil's Dance and The Fixxxer by Metallica if you haven't heard them already 🙏🙏 very underrated songs, and not many people react to them! 😁
I know it's a super unpopular opinion but the more Metallica continue releasing music that is nothing out of the ordinary and nowhere near as excellent as their early work, the more I kind of resent them for insisting on remaining above basically every other band in the spotlight. He does it all, play all the instruments, mix the song, film and cut the music video. His channel is a little bit bigger than yours though with 4.67 million subscribers.
Great reaction as always but for me this is a pretty average Metallica song. It sounds like 90s era Metallica or Countdown To Extinction era Megadeth. I mean, it's fine for what it is but it's nothing special.

@@Pulsed101 I honestly forgot about the Black Album lol, I was thinking about Load and Reload. The change in direction has never really bothered me either. I do prefer their first 5 albums, but I like pretty much everything they've ever released (except for maybe Lulu and around half of St Anger) and I've never begrudged them wanting to evolve and incorporate new influences into their sound. I guess I'm never going to like a new song as much as I like the stuff I grew up with because that warm, nostalgic feeling isn't there, but I'd still take new Metallica over most other bands. I will add that I graduated high school in 1984, and notice that almost all bands seem to hit a peak, and then the quality of new stuff seems to go downhill. You go to a concert of even a favorite band, and when they say, "Now we're gonna play something from the new album!" It's like, "Ok, time to go take a piss." I guess the question could be asked, "Is it the band, or us the fans perception? Is it the band, or us aging?" Probably a bit of both.
I'm an OG Metallica fan from all the way back to their 1st album. Back then no one knew who in the hell they were. I feel Metallica died with "And Justice For All". I've seen them twice in concert and now if you gave me free tickets I'd piss on them. SELL OUT HACKS! that should have quit while they were ahead. I'm an OG Metallica fan from all the way back to their 1st album. Back then no one knew who in the hell they were. I feel Metallica died with "And Justice For All". I've seen them twice in concert and now if you gave me free tickets I'd piss on them. SELL OUT HACKS! that should have quit while they were ahead. Sucks to see a once great band put $ before their music. R.I.P.
