We worked the hillside for half day looking for gold, then finished the day crevicing on the creek.

The lead alone, that's alot of targets. You were a busy Guy. Nice Gold Gary!
Always have a blast coming by. What a blast. Keep on having fun and living the dream fam. Gold Squad Out!!!
Great video. Thank you for helping clean up the river too. That part of prospecting is so important
Good job you guys.
That is one hell of a spark plug. 👀
I'm wondering if someone was using it for a fishing weight. I know when I was younger we would do that especially if we didn't have any money except for beer and gas to get to the fishing hole on the river. You would need big heavy weights to fight the current and we couldn't afford to buy a big lead weights at the fishing shop and we do things like over spark plugs. 👍🏻
Especially if it was an area where it was known that you would get hung up and have to break your line sometimes to get loose.
Growing up in the 80s, same shit
Right on gary and jeff.
we sure worked hard for that Gold !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even the one you stole? lol
@@TwoToes that was the easy one !!!!!! Might even be the title of the video !!!!!
@~7:20 Wow, Gary…you found yourself some super-rare COMMANDO SNIPER GOLD wearing its dirt disguise!! 😁
Cheers! 🖖😎👍
Greetings TwoToes...... GilGold Prospecting San Antonio Tx... where every day is a GOLD'N Day.. coming to RUclips soon.

We use to use old spark plugs as weights when we fished the Delta..😊
Still seeking my first find with a detector. If hard work = gold, I’m going to find a giant nugget soon.

Great gold Gary. Heavy pans to you.
Nice Gary, I am glad you and Jeff avoided the Skunk, and man you got the lead out that day. Nice looking gold as always my friend! #LBPA4Life
I just got a chance to travel to the Feather River and do some panning this past weekend. I found some fly poop sized pieces, but thoroughly enjoyed my trip.
Thanks Gary for giving us all a great outing and adventure.

Hi Two Toes, massive fan here from the Welsh hills. I followed your crevicing advice after watching several videos, several times. Managed to find a
.4 gram picker (point 4). In the upper reaches of the Mallwydd river here in Wales. Got a question to ask you
Great to hear, .4 is a nice piece!
I've learned so much from you and wanted to say thank you. I've watched all your videos more than once.
Garyyyyy!!!!! Awesome video! Thanks again:)!! Made my day!!
There's the Intro music ! Glad you made another video. Let's find some gold!

Merry Christmas Gary! Hope Santa brings you and Jeff pans of Gold! Thanks for your help with your informative giving of your time and talents! Dan Brent
I never find that size gold here in Alabama they might be some somewhere got to keep diggin enjoyed the video ⛏️🇺🇸🕳️⚒️
There are some tributaries on greenhorn creek I was thinking of detecting hillsides
Id be happy with that for sure. I swear everytime i go out, no matter how i do it. I can highbank, pan, sluice, i always end up with a tenth to a quarter gram no matter how hard or light i work it. Awesome video man👍⛏️🇺🇸
Awesome guys , always enjoy watching, could watch for hours 👌👍
Never seen two guys having so much fun finding lead in my life. Why you’d think they were looking for gold or something. 🙄
LOL
Looks like a fun day out, and you both beat the skunk! ⛏️⚒️🍺

Dan o👋⛏️ Hope your doing good man
Very cool video! I enjoyed watching, thank you
That's a decent lead weigh-in Gary. Not bad gold either even if some un-mentionable person helped themselves to your target 😉😮🤫😂
He who remains un-named. lol
@@TwoToes LOL
Morning Gary... Figures that Jeff would come and work your spot... (joking). Stay warm and Golden!
LOL
Great video I always enjoy learning from yall
Love the video’s and all the information. I believe that spark plug is a modal A or modal T not quite sure though. Very cool find.
the whites are variable frequency. put the tdi on the lead frequency. instead of 48 khz. this could work. have a good day
Hopefully you guys bring some sort of defense for the bears and potential mountain lions in those types of brushy wilderness areas.
those bears and lions better look out for them guys
I'm armed
@@paulm5133 True! 👍
I'm old - someone has to feed the bears! lol
@@TwoToes 🤣 👍
Very much enjoy watching what you do, and how you describe it. I'm up in Vancouver, BC, and the nearby rivers and creeks are in steep, narrow ravines, which, for a novice like me, makes reading them to know where the gold is dropping out really difficult. I'm persevering nevertheless. I'm curious if most of the rivers you're visiting are on BLM land. If so, it seems that California has been very generous in setting aside productive areas for public use. A lot of the good rivers here are snatched up with claims. Thanks.
One of the great things about California is the public land. 46% is federal land.
I've been watching your videos about 6 months. Recently retired, I'm prospecting a bit. I'm in Gold Run area and according to BLM mining claims map every sq inch has, either open, closed, or forfeited claims. I'm on BLM and NfS land so private property is not an issue. The issue is there are no stakes showing boundaries of even open claims. How can I know if I am ""claim jumping" if nothing is staked? Also, I recently found a tunnel mine that shows closed claim and the entrance had been sealed with loose rock. I accidently found it by sampling the area which had wind coming out of a shallow hole I made in the rock covering the entrance. Advice appreciated.
What makes a rock hot to set off your detector?
Hi
One of those hot rocks could have been a worn down metorite
I can't figure it out but I really think Gary doesn't age, in fact I think he's getting younger . the man just never slows down. 😧
Beat me.too Garry I went out this last weekend and didn't get evan a flake..just skunked
Every time you get skunked - your next nugget gets bigger!
you have a new nickname? SPARKY
Collab with Topcat. Saw his video last nite. Gary comes out on top
Haven't started editing that video yet, that was a great day in the hills!
@@TwoToes oh ok so multiple videos on way, sounds good ! All good stuff! Keep em coming!
What type of detector you useing I notice this one different from last
Minelab SDC 2300.
@@TwoToes yea that’s a bit pricey I think I’m going for the fisher gold digger
I do know I don’t want anything below that I’m pretty sure the garret isnt going to work just by looking at the price tag tells me what I need know 50-70.00 I don’t think it’s made to detect fine gold be better off buying a old whites witch I have but I recieved a dud it don’t work correctly .
😎
jeff don't need a detector to beat you, shoot I might as well sub to him lol
Unless it's a big piece
I'm gonna be going up near you and look for a place to live up there and maybe I'll stop saying "I wish I was there" every time I watch your videos.
Hey Gary,
What kind of a metal detector are you using..? Thanks..!
Minelab SDC2300
But, did you beat jeff?
I know the answer !!!!! LOL
Team Biggs 1 Skunk 0
any good detectors for under $1000?
Only one I know of under 1000 is fisher gold digger but I don't recognise what he is using minelab makes the best but whites just came out with another I'm told to make sure gold is in the name you can get the fisher gold#1 about 400 off eBay #2 600-800 mine lab 900-1200
In my opinion metal detecting for gold is waste of time. (Unless you are in some amazing place where large gold can be found on the surface) Sure, you can find some gold flakes or even a nugget here and there IF the ground is good. But 99.99% of the time you find garbage, lead shot and iron nails. In most places around the world the gold is very small. Extraction is possible only with water and traditional methods. Pan, sluice, highbanker....
Any golds better than no gold especially when the wind wont blow it away, and that tree root proably was holding a lot of gold aswell trees proably 35 years or more old
