For the amount of weight it had, the commander handled it like a champ! Happy to see more adventure builds coming out! Can’t wait to add a commander to my collection
Amazing scenery. Great shots with the drone. Top notch video. Commander looks like a nice rig very versatile. Glad I had supper just before I watched this or I would of had to make a run to the butcher for some steaks. Looking forward to the next vid.
I know you were burning up from heat, I have a Maverick Sport XXC and have done some serious heat protection measures so I can ride in 80+ degree heat....Buddy has a Commander and had to do the same, heat on seat backs from engine compartment is terrible, floorboard heat and heat coming up through shifter tunnel is bad also....
what a cool video!! Love the how you got all those bikes loaded!! Pretty cool to see the versatility of a SxS and what all you can do with them!! This video makes me want to make a similar trip, with my buddies but only a little longer and we will leave from our house and ride to the top of the mountains...oh and bring a boat and a generator to power our TV and Playstation. lol.
OK, I gotta ask, where is this scenic, awesome SXS/MTB location y'all are camping at? Cus I already bookmarked this video, but I need to bookmark this location as well!
Excellent project and excellent video!!! That is the second favorite build I've seen you guys do, there was another Overlanding build a couple of years ago that IMO was just outstanding, and I hope you can start tailoring your builds to reflect the Overlanding aspect of these machines...
Awesome build 👍 love the show wondering if we will see a North star/Limited trail ride comparison in any up coming episodes?? starting to see a lot more on the trails
A very enjoyable episode guys! I think cross-country / adventure / camping trips are under represented in the off-road world. Ontario is getting better and better every year with tying together vast trail systems for multi-day trips. A couple of things.... - You mentioned "promoting the area's multi-use trail system" but never mentioned where this was? (even generally) - I could have sworn there were 5 people sitting around the campfire that first night.... ghosts? ;) - Ever considered starting a new channel for the rapidly growing sport of e-mountain bikes?
Has Can Am solved the rattle problem that the Commander is having? I’ve seen several post in Can Am forums calling it the death rattle. I was in the market for a Can Am Commander but now I’m thinking the Maverick might be the direction to go with even though it doesn’t have the dump bed.
I liked the commander right until i say in it. Im not a tall guy by any means and my legs arent long but in the coammnder felt like my knees was to close to me couldnt strech out at all the desd pedal us way to high
I think you completely missed the point...it's the entire experience - being stuck to single facet of anything gets old pretty quickly. When you sit down to supper, you don't have just a pile of green-beans on your plate, do you?...no, because green-beans are so much better with a pork-chop, mashed potatoes on gravy, chased by a slice of apple-crisp!.
Unless you're going to spend an additional $50k on the jeep for mods, a SxS is more capable on the trail than a typical jeep though and has access to way more trails.
I have a jeep MOAB, and several side x sides...only thing that jeep has over those sxs's is maybe fuel economy. A properly setup jeep can be a formidable off-roader, to be sure, but they will NEVER afford you the level of possibilities that a 64"/1800lb Rmax2 (or, Commander max) will. Or any of the other makes out there. Send that jeep off some dunes and get back with us. Roll that jeep and now you're in a REAL pickle! Come to think of it, a Jeep exists in an entirely other realm.
lol why would you take your mountain bike to go off-roading in a side-by-side that makes no sense that's why you buy a side-by-side to go off road and have fun 😄🤣😀😉😜😂😄 and I'm not going to spend all that money on a side-by-side to carry my bicycle around I'll buy a Jeep
I think using your UTV to haul a mountain bike into remote places that have single track (from motorcycle to walking paths) trails, which are not accessible to the SxS's is just the "best idea" ever!

Ya she sure looked heavy though.. side to side sway.. lol 👍

😆 Thank man! Appreciate the comment!!
Agreed

Thank you very much! We had a second cameraman in a chase vehicle. He joined us around the camp fire.
what kind of zip up storage bag was that on the door?? Looks great
We'll get a parts list started!
Quite the production, looks fun!
Do you have a build list of all the upgrades you guys made?
I will assemble this and post it in the description after the holidays.
Can you feel the difference in handling with all the gear? Good vid.
Looks like it rides better with weight on it
Bring that thing out to BC for shuttle laps!
You guys get hacked?
That's awesome, suspension must of been spongey with that much weight.
Really spongy. Definitely need some aftermarket shocks.
Looked very top heavy and seemed like it could rollover if there was a sharp turn or difficult terrain that would put it at an angle.

Rattle is still present.
what brand bike racks are those?
I just added the link in the video description for you.
Do you guys ever try any of the Arctic cats?
Haven't been able to get a Cat in a long time.
@@dirttraxtv have you tested one since they tryed to rebrand
@@2511jeremy No, we've been trying to get an Alterra 600. Hoping soon.

What overhead rack is that?
I'll find out. Stay tuned...
Driving that just to go ride bicycles 😂
Right, I would have found a friend with their own side by side for double the fun and less work.
We all ride around the office. It's fun.
👍

$50K SxS, four doors , fours dudes, mountain bikes etc. Have you ever heard of Jeep!!?? 😂 😂
Oh, and it’s street legal!!

Good for you dude. We have a sxs and we all camp and mountain bike. It was fun for us.
