what he said during the live stream with you and total, and him here saying "Connected to the internet" with the power augmenter, I really think that power augmenters will also wireless beam power to each other. SO you could cross map, and build one and have access to your primary grid.
I plotted the power augmenter function, and it looks like it would make sense to dump all your sommersloops into it. The more you spend, the better it gets, so you don't run into the issue of diminishing returns with this one.
One of the very first things any RUclipsr does on a new build - You, Kibitz, etc - does, is build a depot. The cloud Storage escentially negates the need for that depot. You just tack on a side line that feeds a cloud storage to make sure that it continuously gets filled and you build from there. Which makes Mercer Sphere's the number one thing you wanna go get along with a SAM node. If you do make a depot, it's only for the first starting items you do...
I think this will impact the common player a lot more than it does the above average builder, because the availability of items on the "cloud" isn't really that big, and the item upload speed seems to be balanced in my eyes. If you're building a mega build (i.e. 50 fuel gens or more, the amount of HMFs or just quickwire you'll need, is huge, and I don't think that the upload speed is quicker than going to your base and grabbing let's say, 10-15 stacks of each of those items.

2 question: 1. The items in the dimentional depot, when you use them, and they run out, do you have to go back to base and input more of that item, or can you have a constant supply running into it of everything and it keeps auto refilling? 2. If you play with a friend, will both use their own dimentional depot or is it universal?
There must be a gigantic sinkhole in the ground next to Coffee Stain studios due to all the Mics they've dropped with update after update and reveal after reveal. What an 8 years it's been! Super stoked to start a new world and get down to business. Now let me pick up all the pieces of my brain that flew apart...again.
I love the dimensional Depo...... but im kinda sad a central storage is no longer really necessary. oh and CCS if your listening about the blueprints, I am more than happy with 5X5! do we know what tier we get the mk2? EDIT: to clarify on the blueprints. the increase from 4 to 5 is not just one bigger, its a cube. think about a single foundation square (8mX8mX8m) to make the math simple, lets consider that 1 cube. so if you have a 1X1X1 designer, you get one cube worth of space. if you have 2X2X2, you dont go to 2 cubes of space, you go to 4 cubes. 3X3X3 goes to 27 cubes of space, 4X4X4 (our current designer) is 64 cubes of space, and 5X5X5 (the mk 2 designer) is 125 cubes of space. so going to 5X5 actually almost doubles our space.
The Power Augmenter has a item going into it.. Even though Coffee Stain just said connect it to power. But if you give a New Motor made from Diamonds it will increase the output of the Augmentor.
Looking forward to figuring out the min/max on the summersloop spectrum: on one extreme, they're all laserfied into power boosts; on the other extreme they're all used to double the output. Obviously it'll land somewhere in the middle for nearly all of us. But where? That's going to be an interesting question. Assumption from the video: Each mercer sphere cloud upload thingy has an independent upload cap. There appears to be three tiers for speed. He showed us two of them (60 and 120). He did not show us the third. The update percentages shown there don't make sense to me yet. The one that said the cap was 60 was an upgrade. Specifically it said it was a 25% upgrade. That would suggest a prior cap of 48. But then the next upgrade tier says 120 is an upgrade of 12.5%. I'm thinking there must be some other component to that speed cap (i.e. which belts we've unlocked?). One more weekend of focusing on blueprints I'll take with me. Amazing. Can't wait. Easily the most excited I've been about a game release / update. My prior most highly anticipated release was WoW's Burning Crusade back in the day. This eclipses it.
My mind keeps going back to past patch notes videos. As much as they shared leading up to significant updates... There was always "one last thing". Imagining they aren't telling us everything in advance, there's going to be SOMETHING announced on Tuesday.

In layman’s terms 10% of power generation without taking into account the number of other augmenters and then add a flat five hundred at the end. Basically you double your power generation with every 10 +5000 mw. If you have 20 you triple power generation +10000.
@@ricuse7532 see this is why it's hard to articulate exactly how they work cause you don't add a flat 500 at the end the 500 also gets augmented so 10 augmenters would be 100% power increase + 10000mW
It makes more sense to add the Somersloop to a finished product, doesn't it? Essentially, you're halving the resources needed to produce X. For example, Uranium Fuel Rods X Uranium Ore, it makes more sense to double the Fuel Rods than it does the ore.
I wasn't entirely clear on the mechanics of uploading parts to the cloud - specifically whether the upload speed limit was global for an item type, or for each dimensional depot. Like, if I have five dimensional depots all receiving concrete, will they have to take turns, or will that mean my concrete refills five times faster?
I think you will then have 5x the concrete inventory as well each filling at its own belt speed. But that means less slots for other things because Mercer Spheres are limited quantity to build the depots with.
So one small thing that might get overlooked here is that he mentioned that both the rocket fuel and the ionized fuel spit out compacted coal as a bi-product. Given that compacted coal doesn't have much use, as most people use the very strong blended turbo fuel alternate recipe combined with the heavy oil residue alternate recipe, it does make me wonder if we will see another use for it. It may also compete with that monopoly, as the alternate recipe of turbo heavy fuel (heavy oil residue + compacted coal) might now look attractive, but I have not looked at the numbers too heavily. I may be overthinking this, as with nitric acid being a fairly limited resource, we might not be able to pump out as much rocket fuel as we might like.
No need for a guide it's base power production +500MW +10%. With 2 it will be base power +1k MW +10% x 2 so for giggle if your base power is 1,000 + (500MW+500MW) comes to 2k MW then 10% of 2k is 200 x2 400 total extra power. So you end up with a total power of 2,400 MW of power with 2 boosters.
I don't know. It looks like Reanimated SAM going into a machine maybe? Edit: just to steal off someone's elses comment on the latest Bitz video, this item is visible on the belt to the left at the end of the teaser, and maybe going into the Augmenter
Dimensional depot will make this game playable then ill actuallu love it so much. Kinda been a dealbreaker for me running across the map when building something multiple times an hour to get stuff
Summary: So, you know all the things you guys wanted from the game? Yeah we gave them to you. Peace out. EDIT: For reals though. You really need to understand the significance of this. Think of all the other devs that give veiled, dodgy, or borderline smug responses to why they couldn’t give players highly requested features. Now here’s Coffee Stain basically saying, “Yeah we can do that. Here you go.”
I was assuming that the dimensional depot was gonna be like a teleporter Like say 1 base really needs fabric you just put depot A and Depot B and it does it automatically no need to be waiting for a train or something
Have they said how fast the new belt is ? Since ostensibly you will be able to summersloop overclock miners possibly recreating the whole overflow situation.
My genuine question is this, and I hope you answer it: I am sure you had access to the beta, how much of this did you get to experience first hand and how much of this was news to you?
I agree, but I also kind of understand why it would be OP. I’m happy flying across the map or riding trains and I have to admit that the main reason I transported across the map was because I ran out of parts in my inventory. Hopefully this fixes all of that. 90% of the time we spend crossing the map has been fixed.
Ok so have watched this a few times now. Durring the part about the new skins there are 5 buildings (10:15) what is the one to the left of the aswome shop? Is it the new biomass burner?
will the dimensional thing work with fuel.. so i dont fall off the sky while jetpacking.. or my chainsaw auto grabs more fuel.. very niche cases.. but things to ponder
You will need to restart, unless you fancy moving pretty much everything to the new nodes, and recalculating / rerouting everything for the new recipes
The power explanation of the boosters seems a little over explained. Isn't that just an additive boost? So 3 power amplifiers would boost production of power by 30% total?

For example, Uranium Fuel Rods X Uranium Ore, it makes more sense to double the Fuel Rods than it does the ore.
@Tuneuu I thought of that later as well. We will have to see how the math works out with the number of sloops needed.
Heavy modular frames thanks
That somerslooped constructor went from 4 mw to 16 mw.... Still worth it for having that extra ore production
all this is soo amazing, the quality of life features IS OVER 9000^3
I wasn't entirely clear on the mechanics of uploading parts to the cloud - specifically whether the upload speed limit was global for an item type, or for each dimensional depot. Like, if I have five dimensional depots all receiving concrete, will they have to take turns, or will that mean my concrete refills five times faster?
i guess it will fill 5x faster. It seens to be limited only by the belt speed going in, but, who knows?
I think you will then have 5x the concrete inventory as well each filling at its own belt speed.
But that means less slots for other things because Mercer Spheres are limited quantity to build the depots with.
@@5353Jumpersushi belt off a central storage with a programmable splitter would be my thought to clear that issue
@@Phoenix_Ficit maybe, but it is also likely you need to program each depot with the item it accepts.
Upload speed limit only applies to items you manually upload. The dimensional depot's are instant.
Was waiting for this 😂
Same here
Of course the real question about the 1.0 release, what crazy nonsense will Josh do now?!?
Bitz the biggest thing you missed is not just pulling from the cloud but also being able to build directly from the cloud.
I guess this update was very...
Satisfactory!
the Depo and drone using any fuel is great ^^
the end sound with the power augmentor reminded me of elite dangerous capital warp in sounds
SO MANY NICE THINGS! Thank you Devs! 💙
20:12 what is the OTHER research tree in the Alien Technology tab of the MAM?
That was for the alien animals the we already research, Fauna
I don't know. It looks like Reanimated SAM going into a machine maybe?
Edit: just to steal off someone's elses comment on the latest Bitz video, this item is visible on the belt to the left at the end of the teaser, and maybe going into the Augmenter
Noticed they also changed graphics of the bacon mushroom.
Well, since Snutt talked about alien tech, I still think there will be a tier 10. Those guys are such trolls.
Alien tech is the name of the section in the MAM
Dimensional depot will make this game playable then ill actuallu love it so much. Kinda been a dealbreaker for me running across the map when building something multiple times an hour to get stuff
Summary: So, you know all the things you guys wanted from the game? Yeah we gave them to you. Peace out.
EDIT: For reals though. You really need to understand the significance of this. Think of all the other devs that give veiled, dodgy, or borderline smug responses to why they couldn’t give players highly requested features. Now here’s Coffee Stain basically saying, “Yeah we can do that. Here you go.”
I was assuming that the dimensional depot was gonna be like a teleporter
Like say 1 base really needs fabric you just put depot A and Depot B and it does it automatically no need to be waiting for a train or something
I feel like what they decide to do makes much more sense for how the games works
Yeah, you wouldn’t want to negate the other material transport mechanics like trains and drones.
As cool as this sounds, I feel it would really detract from the logistical challenges of the game, so I am glad it doesn't work like that.
Also the very first mod that comes out for 1.0 is gonna turn those depots into teleporting platforms for production automation XD
Have they said how fast the new belt is ? Since ostensibly you will be able to summersloop overclock miners possibly recreating the whole overflow situation.
I think they mentioned 1200 for mk6 belts. I'm guessing the somersloop won't be compatible with miners.
They did say ALL machines. Boutta be running some mk3 miners at 600%
My genuine question is this, and I hope you answer it: I am sure you had access to the beta, how much of this did you get to experience first hand and how much of this was news to you?
I had 0 access to the beta... It would not suprise me if they included all the beta tester in the credits at the end.
@@ItsBitz you sure? As you just released a video on launch date/hour explaining everything …
Bitz, I am with bittersweet feelings. Sweet for the Depot of course. Bitter because I was really hoping for some kind of teleportation :(
I agree, but I also kind of understand why it would be OP.
Finally I can sink my auto sorter overflow into the dimensional depot
Bitz; What video editing software do you use?
Cheers!
Simplify the boost mechanics explanation: the boost part is additive with boosts
that was fast bitz wow
I work at 200%, all i need to do wat add an intro really lol.. But who knows there might be another tonight hahaha
Missed the best part of cloud storage. In multiplayer, your friend can fill it up for you
Man have we come a long way from Conveyor Belt Stairs
Waiting for let’s game it out to have fun with 1.0. Return of the tornado cone
Conveyor into biomass burner confirmed!
5x5x5 is almost double 4x4x4 in size for the blueprint designer
he forgot to talk about the teleportation machine for player to travel across map.
i'm very hyped for the release
will the dimensional thing work with fuel.. so i dont fall off the sky while jetpacking.. or my chainsaw auto grabs more fuel.. very niche cases.. but things to ponder
Can't wait anymoreeeeeeeeeeeeee
Imagine Jace makes a cameo in the dev countdown release stream 🤞❤
wish they added more sulfur nodes on the map.
no one is talking about the updated animation when placing a belt
Haven't been this excited for a game launch since CB2077
28:57 what? No.
Mercer spheres arent made in the maam. They are found in the world. The upgrades are researched in the maam.
Mercer sphere making a bag of holding is on brand
Earth beware. FICSIT now has lasers!
finaly the game is revived and had most of the satisfactory plus mod stuff
So excited for 1.0...
damn youtube again suggested ur channel i remember watching u during the big C times
Too surprised, this was not in the closed beta, was it Bitz?
Why would he know? He wasn’t invited to it. They didn’t have any content creators playing it
@@ChristopherCosta918 i know, I'm Just messing with him
Can't wait !
You think we will be able to use the Compacted Coal for Diamonds?
i guess... maybe with an alternate recipe. since we do need a lot of coal to make diamonds it makes sense to have alt. recipes for it
They already said its like 300 coal to like 20 diamond, so yeah it would make sense
You can use the compacted coal to make turbo fuel so that's probably going to be a relatively balanced loop.
is it making a new space elevator part?
CAN WE FINALLY FIT COMPETENT REFINERY SETUP INTO BLUEPRINT?
are old saves functional in 1.0 -- or do we have to start from the beginning ?????
You will need to restart, unless you fancy moving pretty much everything to the new nodes, and recalculating / rerouting everything for the new recipes
you can use your old save but you will have to fix up and or rebalance the many resource node changes and recipe changes, but they will work!
The power explanation of the boosters seems a little over explained. Isn't that just an additive boost? So 3 power amplifiers would boost production of power by 30% total?
I'm doing everything gold and chrome
I loved your reactions.
