anybody else get that feeling with a new album that they just want to listen to every song at once and get impatient that they cant experience it all straight away
+Kieran Giles Wow WHAT? Why in the seven hells would I beg for "likes"? I don't even have videos to publish. Second, I posted it after hearing the entire album almost two times, left the tab open, and then decided to post it since no one had done that yet.
This album has the raw emotion of One, and the melody and passion of Altered State, it's the culmination of everything Tesseract has achieved so far. This album is absolutely phenomenal.
I love Altered State, it's the album that brought me to Tesseract and it's one of my favourite albums (top 20 certainly, probably top 10). But for me there's something really special about this album, I can't put my finger on it. Of course in the end all of this is opinion and personal preference.
I've listened to a little by them, but not enough to justify me saying its like them. I'll give them a couple more listens now that you mentioned that! Thanks, man!
+Nathan Haller I was smiling with happiness as I heard that part for the first time. The rapping combined with that sweet scream at the endings. I then proceeded to scroll down KNOWING someone had to have pointed it out already, and here you are.

I just shed a tear. As a music lover for close to 50 years I've NEVER experienced anything, even remotely, as emotionally interacting as of what TesseracT are able bring to the surface. And yes, I've taken early RUSH into consideration. It is amazing how they've been able to elevate the vocals to the same extremely high level as the rest of the band. This is as close to perfection as music ever will be.
Sverre Stroemme I'd love to know more about your musical exploration and I'm loving the way you love this music. I think it's awesome, so thought I'd let you know. Early RUSH is brilliant too. 😁
Songs: 10/10 Production: 10/10 Dan :15/10 Dem Feels: Infinity Another addition to the best albums of the year, if not the best album of the decade. Thank you TesseracT. I have no regrets saying that I cried on multiple occasions while listening to this. :')
TesseracT is absolutely the best band of this era and of our generation. Every millisecond of all of their albums must be intimately savored. Breathtaking, beautiful music.
This might be their BEST album yet. It's 2019 and it still gives me that excitement like I had the first time I heard it. It has that vibe that's perfect for travelling, stargazing and for casual listening. This music is PERFECT!
Best line of the album, it happens so quick but it's raw and simple and I love it. "The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return."
That voice sounded so familiar but then I realized it's because it's Daniel Tompkins, who sang the legendary song "A Dream in Static" off of the legendary album of the same name, by the legendary band Earthside. Love that guy's voice.

I can NOT get over the lyrical delivery in Hexes..its absolutely stunning. also, props for the mention of Katatonia in the description..One of my favorite bands and one everyone should embrace.
This album is so rich. Theatrical moments, space voyage ereithrial tones, explosive bass groves, incredible time signature changes, overall cohesive theme, skull crushing djent, and orgasmic climaxes to send you into the void. Bravo Tesseract...Bravo!!
Ok, so here's my 2 cents... I accidentally discovered TesseracT with "Altered State" and I fell in love with the album. Tried their older stuff and wasn't feeling it as much as "Altered State". I simply love Ashe's voice and lyrics better than Dan's. However, I admit I decided to give this album a try, and the more I listen to it, the more I like it. I'm starting to view TesseracT like many of their long time fans... Each album should be judged on its own and not compared to other albums. Each album is a different/separate project with its own distinct sound or "flavor" and appreciate it for what it is on its own.
Mickey Buchanan I have grown to see this as well over the last 3 months of listening to them... especially after just seeing them live. So much respect.
Mickey Buchanan yeah but this new singer is waaaayyy much harder, not just a bunch wailing, although I liked it lol, Polaris indeed is absolutely amazing!!!!
I found "Altered State" by accident also. I was streaming Meshuggah radio and a song popped up. Checked it and I fell in love too! Listened to "One" and ran right back to "Altered State"! Once I played it to death I went back to "One" and fell in love. Like you said, each album is its own. Everything sounds dope at the concert thats for sure!
+walter white Fuck this stupid Meshuggah ripoff shit sounds like Fredrik Thordenthall buttfucked James Maynard Keenan's son and started a family band fucking garbage durrrrrrrrr. Ok fixed. inb4 hated I love TesseracT.
This is fucking stunning, no other way to describe it. The overall progression of this album is beautifully written and the melancholic atmosphere of the soundscapes throughout throw my skin in pimples. It must be said also, Dan's vocal work has matured a lot since "One" and become rather quite stunning, he has taken off brilliantly from where Ashe left TesseracT and continuing the fresher sound the band is achieving. This really is a masterpiece!
There were many discussions on Ashe and Dan. But, did anyone notice that in spite of the vocalist changes, every fucking album has been a revelation going higher and higher. Not that they care, but Acle Kahney ,Jay Postones, James Monteith and Amos Williams thank you so much for your music!!
Seven Names gives me Deftones vibes, blended into this prog metal/djenty type genre... just pure pleasure for my ears. What a banger of an album. Such deep emotion on this album it's actually unbelievable.
My favorite so far is Utopia, Phoenix, and Seven Names. Awesome album and shoutout to them for releasing it early. I honestly couldn't wait. I had chills through some songs :)
TesseracT never fails to give me the chills like no other band does. It's hard to explain the feeling I get when I hear them. It's like I get a step closer to achieving eternal divinity or something, it just gives me the peace of mind I always searched for in music. Dan, Sir you bring out the best emotions in me and if you are reading this, please know that I will be forever thankful for your music. It's beautiful. It's beyond spiritual.
I cant stop listening to this album, Tourniquet is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard, brings a tear to my eye. Its been about 15 years since I really paid any attention to metal in all honesty, the genre was sort of dead to me. I think the vocals, the lack of solos, the attention to bass and rhythm, this sound just transcends everything that was wrong with metal for me. Some kind of universal artistic beauty to it, like abstract sculpture it seems to speak a very fundamental language thats beyond any particular genre of music, or even music itself. I think any art that can shake off the trappings of the moment and resonate with you on that raw and candid a level is a rare thing to be cherished. Well done for joining Mike Patton on the 'metal can still be interesting' bench, that was a lonely looking bench in my musical world for a good while there.
I'll be honest; speaking as someone who's been following TesseracT for a while, when I first listened to this, I wasn't a fan of this album. Now, it's grown on me.
I feel like it's more vocal driven than most of their other work, you've still got some nice poly rhythms and guitar work and stuff going on but the vocals are a lot more predominant than early stuff. I would go so far as to say the guitars are a little more rhythm based than before as well.
Tourniquet brought me to tears just now and I'm listening to this band for the first time (Lauren Babic's cover brought me here.) This is one of the most beautiful albums I've ever had the pleasure to listen to. Seriously thanks for sharing it. Pretty sure this band and album will stick with me for a long time in the future.
Honest moment: I pre-ordered this album before the singles were out. Once I heard the singles, I will admit that I wasn't blown away and I was starting to have my doubts about this album. Then I come here to check out the album in its entirety and I was in awe at how much more variety the whole had to offer. I seriously can not wait for this to be on my phone!
Seriously, this album is without any doubts the finest example of how music can grow and evolve keeping all the elements that made me fall in love with this band, Dan, Ashe and even Elliot made each song sound unique, I honestly don't have a favorite album or singer, to me TesseracT is and always will be the soundtrack of my life. So many feelings... And emotions, the chills man... God damn this album has everything that I could ever ask for.
I really apreciate that there's a full album video! I listen this album at least twice a week... And some times every morning to get energy/life motivation Thanks a lot Tesseract! See you in April in CHILE!
I cannot begin to express how great they are live. When they played Phoenix, I couldn't contain my emotions. Tears were running down my face as I sung as loud as I possibly could. They're technical masters live. Not a single beat was missed. Every note was nailed. The light show was perfectly synced. They placed in a venue that's notoriously known for having terrible sound and acoustics, from where I'm from. They even defied those odds. I forgot where I was because their sound was impeccable. I've been a fan of Tesseract for quite some time, and I admit that before my first time seeing them live, I began to listen to other bands more than them. I have listened to One, AS, and Polaris so many times and it was losing a bit of magic. After seeing them live, my love for them has never been stronger. Hearing the soaring power and emotion of each song live was something I will never forget. I'm just rambling at this point. I just came here to say that Tesseract has solidified themselves as my favorite band ever in my 26 years of living.
The end of Utopia thoughhhhhhhhhholyyyyyyshhhiiiiiieeeetttttt. It's not an exaggeration to say that the existence of this album is one of my favorite things about being alive.
I sat in my chair still, covered in my blanket with my eyes closed as I let the melody resonates in my head. What a brilliant and well produced album. I honestly did not think Daniel Tompkins could front two bands and still had this level of passion. His flames burn bright. Bravo!!
When Altered State came out, I went through a pretty rough heartbreak and Resist was the track that really resonated with me at the time and it was comforting. 2 years later, new heartbreak, and coincidentally, new album, and I have to say, Seven Names touches me in the same way. Thank you TesseracT. You make such beautiful music.
I think this is one of very few albums you must listen as one. I repeatedly listened to it at work when programming algorithms. It's the mixture of atmospheric parts, crazy rhythms and the mostly soft vocals that makes this album great for me.
Jesus Christ...I really don't know what to say...or write...This is the most beautiful piece of music I heard my entire life...I am forever grateful for bringing this masterpiece to life. Serious amount of mantears were shed before, during and after hearing Polaris. PURE PERFECTION
+Michał Drobiazg the main problem in alterade state was Ashe ... Dan makes the tesseract sound more unique...and why everyone dont even mention ONE .... their best album ...the reason to linsten Tesseract ..
+Nuno Dias I must disagree. I started to listen Tesseract after hearing Altered State. It's different from Polaris in almost every possible way but still unique and beautiful. in fact, even though I love Dan and know that everything he participates in instantly turns to gold,I thought that Ashe was a better fit for Tesseract and Dan was perfect for Skyharbor. That is of course until I heard Polaris. Ashe has a beautiful voice, he is a master of harmonies and all but god damn Danny... The best part of it all is that now we have Tesseract with Dan, Eric Emery (another brilliant artist) in Skyharbor and Ashe in VFTF. I could not want anything more...well maybe except a tour with all three of those bands. that would be a dream come true:)
+Michał Drobiazg i second this. I really enjoyed Dan in SKyharbor. Blinding white chaos because it had this raw intensity to it and guiding lights because it was more progressive and more cohesive effort. but now i also like their new singer and drummer. I also love ashe's band vftf too. would really love to see all three tour together.
I can listen to this album every day and I never get tired of it. Each time I listen, a discover a new element that makes me love this band even more. Grateful for being alive at the same time when TesseracT is making music. ♥
I spent like 3 hours listening to a 46 min album... I couldn't go forward to the next song without listening to the same track a certain number of times... It felt like grad school again and i was studying for some exam of some course I liked... like i needed to know the previous material before going to something new... the thing is : it was effortless. Some of the best material i've heard from tesseract without a doubt, love the mellodic vibe. they bring the most beautyful mellody to a world full of distortion and polyrythms. And althought they are awesome groovers, I think they've found their way and they highlight the mellodic stuff as they should!!! Damn ....those "Seven Names"!!!!
I thought this album was gonna be weak after the Messenger and survival. I was wrong this is beast. They teased us with the two weakest songs.Im sorry for doubting you dan
+Spright Mir I figured they would, and I bet Skyharbor is doing the same (beside the point). Even so, I thought both songs were couched well in the album. They each play at just the right time.
+Spright Mir Why would have ever thought that this album would be weak when their teaser featured Seven Names, better than most on the album, and after just joined Tesseract again after making a stellar a;bum with Skyharbor????????
Phoenix ... 29:32 That long scream ... Damn ... I feel it across my spine and through me. Reached deep ... Had some tears running. God damn Tesseract ...
Tesseract, like Tool is one of those bands where each song as a separate piece does not give a fraction of the same experience as listening to an album from start to finish. You get so engrossed, you do it over and over again, until you realize that it's been three months since the release of this album and you haven't moved from your place and you're a bit hungry.
dan isn't tesseract's soul, but dan brought skyharbor's soul to tesseract - thanks for this perfect combination! i'll never stop listening this album...
+Christian Furrer What are you even talking about? Dan was the original singer, just as much a part of the soul of tesseract as any other. Just because people are sleeping on old tesseract and jumped on the wagon at their second record doesn't change that he's an integral part of the band.
+mellamoignacio Its the best fuckin thing. They left it as the last song because they knew that after that climax anything else that would come afterwards would sound poor in comparsion.
Never gets old. Every single song. This whole album, gold.
For sure this is their standout album and it's not even close.
It isn't a secret that this album is a masterpiece...

Perfectly put.
Sir Sauvage indeed it was
+Adhitthana I don't think this album reaches the absolute raw powerful emotion of Altered State but it has it moments. Its a great album.
+Christopher Weafer yeah I m gonna have to agree. I love Ashe and Dan til the end of time. But Altered State was just out of this world.
I love Altered State, it's the album that brought me to Tesseract and it's one of my favourite albums (top 20 certainly, probably top 10). But for me there's something really special about this album, I can't put my finger on it. Of course in the end all of this is opinion and personal preference.

been sober 8 years now because of this album! it made me think and touched something in me and made me fight for myself!
tessseract, tool, karnivool and monuments = BEST TOUR EVAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
I could even die after that, I wouldn't care.
Well considering the fact that they'd be playing arenas (because of tool) I don't think monuments would be a good fit on that lineup.
Technical Grooves and reverb aren't friends.
Animals as Leaders
Says who? You just have to set the reverb to intervals in your playing rhythm, then reverb can be friends with whatever it wants.

I love their melodic style. It's got this sentimental vibe to it.
I love how he only screams one time in the entire album and it's the second to last song.
He screams at the end of Utopia and once in Messenger.

There's a reason this band is my favorite. Absolute perfection.
Each song of this album is beyond the edge of infinity.
The raw emotion in Dan's voice is what makes the vocals from Tesseract so amazing, Seven Names is a perfect representation of that
Tesseract have invented a new style of music: "Progressive audio porn"
My favorite so far is Utopia, Phoenix, and Seven Names. Awesome album and shoutout to them for releasing it early. I honestly couldn't wait. I had chills through some songs :)

Now, it's grown on me.
the bests albums works that way
I feel like it's more vocal driven than most of their other work, you've still got some nice poly rhythms and guitar work and stuff going on but the vocals are a lot more predominant than early stuff. I would go so far as to say the guitars are a little more rhythm based than before as well.
Thank you for no 30 second ad, Kscope.
I stand corrected. Fucking k scope
+geodorff Try Adblock.
That SNAREEEEEE
+rock70ify Dat everything.
+George Beedle of course you're right 😉
Holy sheit, yes.
Wondering is these drums are programmed again or really Jay...
+Ezra Alexander I'd say they're programmed.
Grooves, grooves everywhere....
I've been listening to this album in an eternal loop since it was released. Has been the grooviest month in my whole life. Thank you TesseracT
I really apreciate that there's a full album video!
I listen this album at least twice a week... And some times every morning to get energy/life motivation
Thanks a lot Tesseract!
See you in April in CHILE!
Been listening to survival constantly for the past few days, it's phenomenal
I realized after hearing that snare that I no longer had erectile dysfunction.
This album is excellent.
Brian R 🤣🤣🤣🤙🤙
can't get over how well survivor flows into tourniquet. My two favorite songs on this album
No amount of lube will stop the friction burns that this album will cause. Pain has never felt so good.
Woah woah woah....you ain't usin me for nothin!
+Sammy Palmer You sir are a fucking masochit. Still better than 50 shades of grey.
+Sammy Palmer well put ahaha cheers!
I swear, Tourniquet is the most beautiful song on this album
Happy 1 year anniversary to one of the best albums of our time!!
Hell yeah!
Killswitchcat 18 mmmmmmmmmmmmmmrmmm
stop using my avatar
I had to listen to it beginning to end before i made any conclusions. This album is a MASTERPIECE!!
Jesus Christ...I really don't know what to say...or write...This is the most beautiful piece of music I heard my entire life...I am forever grateful for bringing this masterpiece to life. Serious amount of mantears were shed before, during and after hearing Polaris. PURE PERFECTION
I honestly thought that nothing would be able to beat ALTERED STATE and Skyharbor's GUIDING LIGHTS as my all time favorites but this...OMG...
+Arturo Garcia Yes! all 3 together would be mind blowing! and since they are all friends expect awesone shinanigans!
I can listen to this album every day and I never get tired of it. Each time I listen, a discover a new element that makes me love this band even more. Grateful for being alive at the same time when TesseracT is making music. ♥
I was supposed to leave the house an hour ago and here I am jamming this album instead.
Keep coming back to this one. So much life passed listening to these songs, but they always take me back 🙂
I thought this album was gonna be weak after the Messenger and survival. I was wrong this is beast. They teased us with the two weakest songs.Im sorry for doubting you dan
+Spright Mir lol same here. excuse us dan!
+divinasion I didn't like his vocals on the singles he was the one I was doubting
+Spright Mir I figured they would, and I bet Skyharbor is doing the same (beside the point). Even so, I thought both songs were couched well in the album. They each play at just the right time.
+Spright Mir Same here. Messenger is meh. Maybe they did it to lower our expectations before making our heads explode.
+Spright Mir Why would have ever thought that this album would be weak when their teaser featured Seven Names, better than most on the album, and after just joined Tesseract again after making a stellar a;bum with Skyharbor????????
Sweet baby Jesus this might just be your best work yet fellas.
All I can say is Wow. This band just keeps getting better and better
20:50 is where I like to listen to the repetitive riff and how it synchronizes with the drums. I love it
I've listened to this record from start to finish more times than i can remember. Truly an incredible album. Well done Tesseract. Well done.
tourniquet gave me instant chills. in love with this album
This_
+ATMOSPHERES
+atmospheres tesseracts baby :)
+ATMOSPHERES Evidemment que vous êtes là vous :D
+ATMOSPHERES Your album is very strong too, guys. Looking forward to your future work.
I'm all about that bass.
Tesseract, Karnivool,Chevelle in one tour would be epic, yes.....tickets please lol
Oh good god yes
Mike Patton would also work here
Phoenix ... 29:32 That long scream ... Damn ... I feel it across my spine and through me. Reached deep ... Had some tears running.
God damn Tesseract ...
DONT YOU DARRREEEEEE
Tourniquet is the masterpiece in this masterpiece of an album. Oh My!
one of the hugest sounding records i have heard! love the production!
Perfection, the voice, the guitars, the tempo etc.
Best combination of clean vocals and djent I've ever heard.
+omgnuub wikipedia: difference between 'know' and 'mean'
+Christian Furrer This is exactly what I think. I think Dan's voice matured a lot with Skyharbor
oh god, seven names
+mellamoignacio i cried so hard
+mellamoignacio Its the best fuckin thing. They left it as the last song because they knew that after that climax anything else that would come afterwards would sound poor in comparsion.
Phoenix is just... the absolute most feel good song I've heard in awhile...
The snare on this owns my soul.
