I'm pretty sure the rated capacity of those batteries is fake.

Have to check with others uconsole user what mAh batts they use and how long it lasts. Though others video so far complain about same batteries doesn’t last long. As far as I know most laptops can last over 2 hrs. My Mac can last couple of hrs. Wish the uconsole has that kind of batt if not even with 4G will be useless since it’ll only last 1/2 hr. Lol

@@freaker126 : I don't have my uconsole yet. But, I use 18650s for many other things. Your best bet is to use proper Samsung batteries. They will be rated for about 2500mAh per cell. But, this is the actual rating.
To test the actual rating you want to get a boost converter that ups the voltage to 5 volts, and then hook it to a USB load and a battery bank tester. It will give you a very good idea of what the actual capacity of the batteries is. Be sure to take into account the loss of the boost conversion.
I have a Raspberry Pi 3 A+ that can run off of 6 of those for days.
Anything that claims to have higher than 3000mAh for an 18650 is a flat out lie.

@Xpurple thanks for the info. I don’t know much about batteries. First time I even heard of 18650 types. But, I noticed most rechargeable use them. They’re freaking big. That’s why I’m assuming they’ll last longer.

@@freaker126 Just buy normal LGs which are rated around 3K mAh, they'll last mach longer than this fake shit. Also will be pretty interesting how long Uconsole lasts on two normal batteries.

@Firebird31001 well, people can test and see which rechargeable batts are better for uconsole. I’m not the only one using this. I didn’t know anything about it till I have it myself. Everyone can say it’s fake or whatever. You can also use portable charger. Also, if you can always plug in if you want to use external monitor and other accessories. That’s why I only bought the wifi version.

Yeah, for sure the batteries are fake and really low mAh.

I'd expect much more improvement from double the battery capacity. I appreciate the videos you've been posting whilst I wait for mine. Any chance you could post one showing OpenTTD or anything with Dosbox please?

sorry. i'm not familiar with openttd or dosbox. for dosbox I'm not sure how to mount as i don't know what's the drive name. also, the batteries doesn't improve much. only by 15% aka 45mins. need bigger mAh batts which i can't find before i decided on the 19800mAh.

@@freaker126 OpenTTD comes installed with the Raspberry Pi OS from what I've seen. I'm interested in seeing how it runs and how easy it is to control using the trackball of the UConsole. No problem if you don't want to, just something I'm trying to understand whilst I wait.

Yes. It comes with them. I’ve only tried some of them. Especially, the ones I know. I’m interested to learn the tic80 as it reminds me of another game programming on Nintendo switch. That’s why I love this thing. So many things to try so little time. 😂

You mean the background music for this video? If you have samsung phone you can get free music for video editing via their gallery. I forget what's the song name.

You need to know that there are no real 18650 batteries that have more than 3500mAh capacity. Buy some name brand batteries made in Korea or Japan. China produces a lot of counterfeit goods.

it's not really a big deal. even if you tell me there are no such things, i'm the one who likes to try things out for myself. anyway, i still get an extra half an hour or so from the batts. and, you can also use a power bank. if there are any other power sources, I'll definitely try them.
