Patrolling your factory (Area Patrol)

In this video we talk about area patrol, the ability to patrol your area of the factory and to spot abnormalities before they become problems.
We often talk about lean tools 5s, TPM, standardise work, waste, line balance etc but critically you need Fundamental Control of your factory.
Fundamental control comes from four things on the shop
(1) A good team brief
(2) Area Patrol
(3) Dealing with Abnormality
(4) Strong Team
To be able to patrol your patch with your eyes wide open and identify issues is an underrated skill.
