In the arcade scene they weren't popular at all. I remember Riptor being kinda difficult to use. And Cinder and Glacius were both popular enough, but they decided to keep Glacius to make KI 2 story more cohesive. Glacius was slightly more popular than Cinder as well

Tal vez se quejan de que no está porque cinder esta roto y por eso todos lo usan, pero recuerden que glacius en ki2 está igual de roto que cinder ( o más ) solo es cuestion de ataque aereo, patadas bajas, y gancho para que todo ki2 sea un paseo por el campo ( esa es mi experiencia con glacius de ki2 ) glacius de ki2 esta tan roto en n64 como en arcade (en arcade es incluso más roto)

It's amazing how Rare thought that KI2 was some kind of an upgrade on KI. Okay, you've got a bit more depth on the environments, but other than that KI2 is a significant downgrade. The audio from the different combo types got removed, and the kept audio like combo breaker cane from KI. Also the particles on colliding plasma got a significant reduction too. KI2 is definitely a significant downgrade from KI.
AFAIK you could do a super at the end of your ultra combo to even extend it a little further. Combo breakers were way easier in this edition however the damage to the enemy is lessened alot. I never liked that you had to perform all 4 combo enders to get a full sized ultra combo in this game.

Never liked Glacius redesign in KI2. It was especially hurtful since he was my favourite character in the original game.
I think the one in 2013 is a slight improvement. But you don't improve on perfection. I also think this Glacius was supposed to be a different one.

Parries in KI 2 you do them pressing Back + light punch, you can only parry normal attacks
