Thanks. I got one of these for rotisserie but have not used yet. Please tell me, when you're all done and you put it back in the box, isn't it just going to drain the battery? Do you need to remove the battery when you're not cooking and just storing it?
Absolutely love my meater plus especially when using my rotisserie. Here’s a tip make sure you clean it after each time you use it. I had a problem with it not syncing to the block until I cleaned it.
You should love these. Rotisserie is a perfect example. With the MasterBuilt 1050 and meater you can cook from your armchair. Using the meater phone app if you see the cook is falling a bit short on temp or time I can then go to MasterBuilt phone app and raise the grill temp a little bit to dial it in. My last video using 4 meater probs I was able to adjust for grill hot-spots. With meater connected to the house router it goes out to the internet. This is helpful if we are out shopping. I open my app and can checkin on cook and even adjust cook away from home. Basically anywhere I get a phone connection. Imagine this, I have not done it yet. My wife can start up the grill and place probs into meat and place it in the smoker and I can do all the rest to do the bbq. I then just give her a call and tell her its done and go and get it. My last video posted screen shots of probs to share the hotspots with everyone. Every guy really wants one of these weather they know it or not. You asked in this video for sharing info. I hope I gave you give back stories on how powerful these really are. Have fun 👍
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ yeah tom your welcome. Just thought your viewers might understand the real power of these things with from someone who has used them for over a year. Had to wait for my first one on the fundme program while they developed it. They are much better now and now have the wifi booster in the box station so you can now take your phone away from the grill and use house wifi or internet for more freedom.

I got one for Christmas 🎄, I used for a long brisket cook. Totally flawless, alerted me at 165 wrapped in butcher paper and alerted when it got to 203. I connected to my samsung tablet and also my samsung phone. I had to go to town and I was able to keep an eye on it on my phone while in town. If your u are on the fence, buy it. I am by no means paid or connected to Meater but I am sold on the product.
Four pack is good if you have a lot of different meats to cook but if you are like me and cooking a brisket pork butt steaks or chicken for my family one is all you need. The probe gives grill temperature as well as meat temperature so you don't need one attached to the grill grate. Personal preference.......
Thanks Tom I too have been hesitant about purchasing one of these specifically to use with my Rotisserie as well. So far it's checking all the boxes, looks promising.
Awesome 👍 video nice job can't wait to see you use it maybe I will get one kind of expensive though how do I get the land of BBQ stickers love all of your videos very informative always learn from them enjoy them very much
Thanks Rodney! Send me your address, my email is in the about section of the channel and I’ll send you one. I only have a couple left. Thanks again for watching!
Heey Tom. I own one for about two weeks now. The first one I had to send back, because the ambient temperture was way off!! 50-80 degrees Celsius to low! I got a new one, and this temperture mesurement seems to be better. When I stick the front and then the back into boiling water, it mesures about 100 degrees Celsius, but not exactly.... Greatings Paul from the Netherlands.
It’s definitely an interesting one from what I’ve seen, reviews are all over the place so I’m curious to see what you think of it over time. Have a great weekend Tom!
Great informative Vid Tom! 👍 I've been on the fence with this for awhile now, but I will tell You how much I hate all the wires needed for the standard probes. I'll be watching to see your thoughts with future cooks. \🔥/
Tom...would love to see how it performs on the Weber rotisserie...gives you an opportunity to put that grill back in action. Love you channel and content.
Oooh man Tom! I’ve been itchin to get one of these meat thermometers but didn’t see this one. This is a great review and really appreciate it. I’ll wait to see your video on using this in a cook before I pull the trigger and get one! Thanks!
Ive heard mixed. Looking forward to your take.
Thanks Tommy! Should be interesting!

Thanks for Watching! The battery is fine, doesn’t drain the heat
Definitely does not emit a signal out to 165’. 30-40ft max in my experience
Thanks for watching! Appreciate the feedback
Instructions are over rated! If(when) I get my rotisserie I will probably get one of these specifically for that reason. Take care Tom.
Thanks for watching! Perfect for the rotisserie!

I was thinking of buying the 4 pack with the meater block

It looks very neat, can't wait to see it in action.
Thanks Dan! I hoping it will perform well!
You have to clean the top after smoking. The smoke accumulates and interferes with charging. Other than that, mine works ok.
Thanks Jon! I appreciate you Watching and commenting!
I think every bbq er needs a wireless thermometer and they are oven safe as well.
Thanks Louis! I love the idea, I hope it works

Thanks Ken! Struggling so far, the Bluetooth appears to work to the advertised 165 feet. I’m still working on the WIFI part
