Skaeir fak install the 1.00GB update, however it will factory reset your PS4. You will have to re login and redownload all your games. I’ve had to factory reset my PS4 2-3 times over the passed 4-5 years due to issues like this and I have never lost data. So I’m 99.9% no data will be lost. No promises though.
There are two updates you need a complete reinstaion it should be 1.1 gb and is at the bottom of the page not the 400mb the 1.1 gb is the only one that works I did this and it worked it only works for the 1.1 mb
What's your error message if it's ce74880 it needs a complete installation should be 7.00 and should be 1.1gb if it's 400mb it won't work has to be 1.1gb after you make a PS4 folder make another folder on that titiled update in all caps the put PS4 update.pup in the update folder and let it upload after that eject the USB drive from computer and put USB in the PS4 hold the button on the PS4 untill safe mode then scroll down to reinstall update and if you have the 1.1 gb update in you USB drive you screen should say intialize system note this gets rid of games and all users after that it will be easier from there

You have changed my life. Struggled with this on v11.02. This worked instantly. Didn’t loose my trophies etc because of the PS App. Back working. I couldn’t find the file layout shown here. It’s not clear on the PS support page. Using a Mac is even trickier. We are leaving the drive in the PS for backing up data. Such a great video. Thankyou.

I have tried what people are saying, and my issue is that the file won't install. It recognizes the update file, it copies the data, and then says it needs to restart to install. I click ok, and then when it reboots, it takes me to the original screen saying the playstation can't restart and to use a controller with a USB... It should take me to a screen that says, "Installing," but never does. I have tried to go to safe mode again several times and try it again.

I did this and it starts with that first bar saying preparing for update, then the PS4 turns off and goes back to the "connect dualshock 4 to USB cable" part.
@@kriskat7991 😬 stick in a death loop. When you boot in safe mode you can try selecting option 6 and see if that helps. I would also try to select option 5 to rebuild the database

Dude you need to get a usb that works on playstation. And on your mac or pc you need to make a new folder named PS4 or something then you open a folder inside it and update is going to be in it that you get from playstation. Make sure to fallow the steps in this video.
I did everything correctly and got a (SU-41350-3) error. I follow their instruction for the solution and re named the file and it still didn't work. Sony needs to get their shit together.

to be safe, you might aswell use a new one. they are relatively cheap too and you dont even need a big one, just one around 1gb should be good
