Kawasaki 750 SXI PRO Stand Up Jet Ski: March 2020

- I took the '99 Yamaha Superjet and the '99 Kawasaki SXI PRO out to the reservoir on a solo mission. This was the second time I had ridden the SXI since I bought it last July. It is a great ski, fast and performs well. I shot all the video myself using one drone and two GoPro's. I experimented with the drone by using the Active Track mode where it was able to follow me. The drone was able to keep up when I was going slow but lost me in a tight turn as you will see. Also, I mounted a GoPro HERO7 to the front right hand side of the ski aimed back at me. Additionally, I wore a GoPro HERO8 and the Chest Mount to get that forward shot. And this is the result! I hope you enjoyed this video and would consider subscribing to my channel, Billy
NOTE: I filmed this on March 7, 2020 before California's Stay-At-Home order on March 19th. I hope everyone is doing well and we will get through this!

@@todd_euliano LOL!
Golden Boy Rule!!! Great job. Camera work exceptional!
Thanks my brother! We'll be out there tearing it up soon! You guys stay safe.
BIG DOG!!!!! Man, your drone footage is legit!!! Them trails at the end looks sweet. The Yamaha looks like she wants to shred!!! Always great fun watching your work. Hope you and the family are well!!! Love from the East Coast!!!
Howz it BIG DOG!!! Where I rode is at a reservoir next to the Colorado River. The area is surrounded by primitive camping and roads all over the place going through the desert. A totally cool place to explore as well. We're all doing fine out here but I just want to go have a little fun right now. Been on 'lock down' for 2 weeks and THE PHOENIX is ready to rise!!! I'll be riding that Yamaha real soon!
Yewwwww, From the South West my man!!
@@billythephoenix YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!! Rise indeed Brother... rise indeed🤙
Got a little bit of a workout on that one, eh? :) Incredible content, I want to be there right now!! Loved the sunset ending & the display of your tag line, too!
Yeah, you could hear me out of breath at the end of that session. I was trying to ride hard, you know, for the shots. This edit, I did use Active Track for the drone footy. Thanks for watching! I hope you and I ride together someday too.
Loved the video Billy! Looks like a great spot and what a sunset! Stay safe.
It's a great spot to camp or hang out for the day. I'm doing everything I can to stay safe too. Thanks for watching!
Hey Brudda, That drone shot was amazing...technology, eh? It tracked you quite well! You are brave to let it do that over water! Man, those GoPro shots show that stand up jet skiing is quite a workout! 2:43... a little outta breath...lol ;) Another cool video Billy! Cheers, John ;)
Those drones are an amazing piece of tech to say the least. I need to get the Active Track dialed in because it's a great feature that I need to utilize more often. You know with this social distancing thing, I may be out on the ski solo more often too. I cracked up when I heard my heavy breathing coming from the GoPro attached to the front of the ski because after hitting it hard I was def out of breath. I may sneak back out there this coming week, the weather is suppose to be around 90f/32c and I have a few things I need to do at the house. We'll see how that pans out. As always John, thanks for watching and you and your fam stay safe, Billy
Sure is pretty from the drone! We've been blocked from the beach access since the 21st. No windsurfing or surfing. Boosted board is proving it's worth. Ride on!
Same here, I looked at the Surfline Cams at various San Diego beaches this morning and nobody out. This is a total trip man! Enjoy that Boosted Board, sounds like a great way to get out and Distance youself from others. Ride on.......and be safe!

That 750 looks very clean. Maybe you could do a walkaround video on it if you haven’t already ?
About that 750SXI PRO, I was on a mission to find all stock, clean skis. I found this one about a 5 hour drive from the house. I was not disappointed. I think it was so clean because the reg sticker expired in Sep 2011. I've only ridden it twice and i loved the way it performed on this day.
I like
I like it too. Thanks for watching!
Hi great shots at dusk. I wonder which reservoir your at?
Senator Wash and it's a great place to camp as well 👍
Looked like a glorious day to be out in the water. How much adjustability is there with the auto track function for the drone for height and what not?
I have only used Active Track 3 times and that has only been lately. But within the mode there are 3 sub modes, Trace, Parallel and Spot Light. If you really want to see these sub modes in action and their capabilities, there are some great videos explaining them on YT. It's a great feature which I'm going to totally get into. And yes, it was a great day to be on the water. For March 7th, I was surprised at how much it had already warmed up since the middle of February where I was wearing a full wetsuit. Thanks for watching and hopefully I can get back on the water soon!
BILLY THE PHOENIX thanks for the info and I hope we can all get back to the usual activities here soon
Awesome video, where is that place? what is the reservoir called?
It's a top secret spot.........oh what the heck, it's Senator Wash in CA
which one do u like more, comparing the two skis?
I really can't say at this time which one I like more because I have only ridden the SJ 3 times and the SXI PRO twice. I can hardly wait to get out there and ride them soon and I'll let you know what I think about the 2 skis later. But just about everyone thinks the SJ is the better ski especially for free style and the surf. Thanks for viewing man!
@@billythephoenix Thanx for the reply the reason I ask is I'm looking to buy a new for me stand-up ski and those are the two I keep going back and forth. I'm thinking which ever one I can find that is in the best condition imma grab. I'm digging ur contant. Especially the P.L. bay to beach video good stuff. Thanx.
@@gabe1392 I like your thinking. If you find a clean ski and you dig it, buy it. No matter if it's an SJ or SXI PRO. I like all my skis and have no regrets. I don't know if you have subbed my channel but if you haven't it would be nice to have you on board and we'll def stay connected, thanks for watching and commenting, Billy
Okay, now I know for sure what ski I like out of the two. There is no doubt that I like the 750 SXI PRO. I love the way it carves and slides in sharp turns and how quick it accelerates at the slightest pull of the throttle. My son rides the Superjet and he digs it! Let me know if you ever got a ski.
Ok well I bought a 2001 superjet and it's a blast I can't stop riding it. It took a couple of times to get my balance back as it has been a while since I 've surfed or stateboarded. But it's so much fun. thanx for the reply anyway.
How does the handling of the Sxi Pro compare to a SN or 96-07 RN? Also how does it compare to the Sxr 800, 08+ SJ, and even the older Sx and Sxi?
The handling on all the skis is great. I love to slide on the '94 SX and the '99 SXI PRO, these two so far are my favs. The '99 SJ is the only SJ I've ever ridden. I'd say my least fav ski is the SXR800. Don't get me wrong, that baby is fast and really sticks in the turns but I like the looseness of the other skis better. Still getting used to all of them. I just bought all of them last summer, 2019, over a two month period. Thanks for watching and I always appreciate comments, Billy
I just went to your channel and I remember you're riding a 2018 SJ, that must be very nice!
What oil do you like running in your 750??
I've been using Kawasaki Jet Ski Watercraft 2-Stroke Oil
