    sounds like your idle is too high or you are running lean. when you unload the pump it seems to almost hold its rpm's. All my skis don't really seem to do that.

      Good insight, I definitely need to spend more time tuning lol Broke down last ride water box isn't circulating correctly. Plugged hose suspected 🤙 braaap

      Do you know the right RPms for a stock reed engine '94 550?

      @@MM-fr3ge 8,500 to 9,400 is the sweet spot I used to tune all my race boats to back in 91, but they were heavily ported with 440 pumps and big props. Stock I would say probably around 6,500 to 7,500

      ​@MM-fr3ge the stock rpm on most of these is 6500rpm. You have to port to get more rpm. The transfer port timing is set at 6500rpm to make the crank bearings live a long life.
