- A&Z #1110 - Professional eater Randy Santel versus The George's Quadruple Chicken Parmo Challenge hosted by The George Pub and Grill located in Stockton-on-Tees, England of the United Kingdom!! After finishing up our 3-week Scotland Tour, @KatinaEatsKilos and I spent 4 weeks (1 month) exploring most of the major cities and areas in the northern half of England. During our travels, I attempted 18 English man vs food restaurant challenges. For British food eating challenge event #2, we headed to The George Pub and Grill in Stockton-on-Tees, England, so we could each attempt one of The George's food challenges. I love chicken parmo which was created nearby in Middlesbrough where we were the previous day, so attempted The George's Quadruple Chicken Parmo Challenge which was so delicious!! Because I wasn't trying for the record, I did something that had never been done before - I added an extra piece of chicken katsu curry to my challenge platter. As part of the base challenge, I had 40 minutes to feast on four 350g chicken breasts, breaded and fried, smothered with Bechamel sauce and then 3 types of shredded cheeses - yellow Cheddar, white Cheddar, and mozzarella. The challenge included some salad and 1-1.5lbs of chips. I was trying to win my £33 British parmo meal free plus a sweet t-shirt and spot on the Wall of Fame. Special thanks to everyone from around Stockton-on-Tees who came to watch that Tuesday evening. The George Pub & Grill's Quadruple Parmo Challenge in Stockton-on-Tees, England (£33):
The George Pub & Grill has been located in Stockton-on-Tees for more than 9 years now!!
The George offers lots of different man vs food challenges, and the menu changes often.
I love chicken parmo (Teesside chicken parmesan) smothered with Bechamel sauce and cheese, initially created nearby in Middlesbrough, and thankfully The George was offering a Parmo Challenge while Katina and I were there.
This challenge featured 4 big 350g breaded and fried chicken breasts smothered with Bechamel sauce and three different shredded cheeses - yellow Cheddar, white Cheddar, and mozzarella cheeses.
The chicken parmos were served with 1-1.5lbs of chips plus some salad and optional sauces.
Just for fun and to promote other challenges, I ordered some extra chicken katsu curry which was covered with delicious curry sauce. Finishing that was just optional and not required.
There is a 40 minute time limit to finish everything. Winners earn the £33 meal free plus a sweet t-shirt and spot on The George's Wall of Fame. For any of the eating challenges available, you can also win an extra £100 cash if you beat the current time record. Good luck and you may want to call ahead and schedule your challenge in advance if interested, so they can be ready for you.

Bechamel is simply a cream style sauce. Traditionally it's a roux of flour and butter with milk added, salt, white pepper, and a touch of nutmeg. You can also add cheese in, but then it becomes a mornay sauce instead of a bechamel. It is consider a mother sauce of France and is the basis of most Mac and cheese recipes and also it is used in lasagna in the US

Bechamel sauce is molten butter with flower added (a roux asit's called) and then milk is added to that.

Bechamel sauce goes on top of mousaka which is a Greek dish.Thats my favorite Greek dish!

Béchamel is flour fried in butter until slightly golden, mixed with cream, and then cheese melted into it 🤤 so much deliciousness it’s hard for the heart to handle 😜

Almost right. If you put cheese in it then it's a Mornay sauce. You make a bechamel before you turn it into a Mornay.

Bashamel sauce is the base for cheese to be added when you make homemade Mac n cheese. It's completely different from the Alfredo sauce. Bashamel is a more flour base with butter and milk. Where as Alfredo sauce is heavy cream, butter, garlic, and Parmesan cheese.

If you want to make your own park it's really easy all you need is flour butter milk for the bechamel sauce then just chicken breast and cheese,

Bechamel is basically just milk gravy like you'd use for sausage gravy, just with nothing added. Butter, Flour, and Milk/cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg is the basic version, these guys probably add a bunch of other stuff to make it taste better.

Bechamel is the white sauce that goes on Lasagna, I don't know why that bechamel looks like dough when it should be runny

Hey Randy, this is my hometown ! Did you know that the " old original " Stockton on tees high street was the widest high street in the UK. Not now though, it's been tweaked and changed, rebuilt etc a few times since.
