- OVER 60 KATSU, FRIED CHICKEN, FRIED RICE, SALMON, SHRIMP, PORK & OKONOMIYAKI? THIS IS A GIANT Japanese Food challenge! Today we are facing the biggest Japanese food challenge I have ever seen! With over 11lb of fried chicken (chicken karaage), katsu and other delicious Japanese foods, we are taking on Las Vegas's Fugetsu Okonomiyaki Challenge! We had 60 minutes to get the meal for free otherwise we would be paying for the $200 meal. This is a true Japanese brand specializing in Japanese bar food, Japanese street food, and japanese late night food. They have 3 locations in the USA and this Vegas Japanese Restaurant is the first with an izakaya!

I seen Joel surprisingly fail a pastrami sandwich challenge. But it was a 20 minute challenge. And Joel said he ate before the challenge not thinking it would be a 20 minute challenge.
Everyone has fails in their professional eating career. And lots of fails before becoming pro, That's how you build :). You won't see many fails on RUclips channels, If any, Because they lean towards showing you the success rather than the fall outs. The very best eaters will have hardly any fails cause they are that good lol

Feel like this is the first challenge in awhile where ive seen Joel start to get close to hitting that wall, the katsu alone is nuts to me. Great job bud, this one could not have been easy to finish let alone in the alotted time.
I will never understand how you eat so much, and still look like that. Lots of work that people dont see goes into these challenges, great job!
As an older viewer, I remember doing things in my youth that at the time seemed fun. I've always wondered if these extreme eating binges on one day will caught-up with Joel and effect his health in a very negative manner? THUMBS-UP!

Normally waiters walk about 15 miles from the Kitchen to where Joel sits once Joel relentlessly keeps on ordering food and drinks.
Hey Joel, if you go to Japan, there are several restaurants that have all of these food items plus beer, all you can eat and drink for approximately $60.00 usd.

Joel I appreciate the fact you are serve foods that I’ve never seen or rarely seen! You describe the ingredients and flavors perfectly! I was impressed with all you had to eat! You always eat with class and cleanly! I’m impressed with all the amazing food they prepared perfectly! I’m most impressed or interested with the cabbage pancakes! The runny yolk sounds amazing too. Their pork belly is usually pretty outstanding! Now you’ve made me want to try it too. I love you drink sparkling water with the meal ! Love you saved the hot rice dish for last. It’s so interesting and the caviar adds that pop you mentioned! It does add a salty component but that fresh pop is also good way to maintain the flavor profile
I’m rewatching this again. It was amazing and I love watching your challenges at night when awake and feeling low. But truthfully I love the videos when feeling good as well. However, you do cheer me up and take my mind off things ty

@@robn92it looked a bit more like paella. The rice definitely formed that beautiful crust on the bottom of the cabbage and rice with seafood.
