Hi.. I do make my own cards and use a 65 and 85 lb smooth and shimmer cardstock and all of my prints come out beautiful. I do use the bottom paper tray (cassette 2) that option should come up on your computer when you go to print. However, it cannot handle the 110lb. I am very impressed with this printer as I am very fussy on how my prints look. Well worth the purchase. Hope this helps...🙂
Do you have any printers you'd recommend for Art prints? Im looking to open up my own etsy store and I need a good quality printer for A4+ size art prints. I will need it to handle a large amounts of prints without burning out. Multiple paper feeder trays would be nice as well. I don't know much about printers so looking for a good one has been a bit of a challenge, I want to get a good printer that will last me a long time. I have also noticed for most of the printers I have seen finding ink refills for them will be a problem. Please help!
What’s the name of the other printer that you gave 5 starts ? How do you compare this to the ink tank? Also which printers have the lease paper jam issues?

Wish you’d shown the paper alignment and print setup. I’m not sure how to interpret the initial test page, which appears different from the one you get when you select print alignment.

The output tray extends automatically when the print process starts. I do not find the on line user manual an issue - the software loaded an icon on my home screen so all I have to do is select that icon. I do not find it difficult to use.
So I purchased the Xp7100 but it doesn't seem to print boarderless on 4x6 gloss paper? It just be might me but is anyone else having this issue or can someone tell me how to.
what about its other features, scanning, copying from the glass etc?

I just purchased this printer (7100 Expression Premium} and couldn't figure out how to open the paper tray. After much frustration, I finally lifted up the printer and looked "underneath" the printer and found there was a piece of the blue tape used for shipping that was holding it. After removing the tape, it still wouldn't open. After unpacking it, I had laid down a piece of that rubber type anti skid shelf liner on my desktop to protect it from scratches etc. from the printer. After removing that and just having the printer directly on the flat bare desktop, the paper tray now opens. I was hoping you would do a review on the cd that came with it. Otherwise, good video.

I can't get mine to print on both sides. I followed the directions but it just keeps printing on two pieces of paper. So frustrating!! My HP was a breeze to handle but this one is a pain. the paper drawers are awful to put back in. It feels like it is going to break!

I just purchased this printer but I’m have a hard tim trying to figure out how to use the usb to print from it or to even open the usb to look for documents to print.

I was really hoping your video would show us how to print from say an IPhone picture in various sizes. Like trying to print on a glossy photo paper eight 3 x 4 or a 5 x 7 etc. please let me know If you decide to do any of those videos there are none out there that I could find.
Oh gosh, I tried printing from my android phone and it was so troublesome and complicated that I was on the phone with Epson Support for 30 minutes just to print ONE PHOTO! That is the definition of insanity. I do not recommend this printer.

We are having trouble with it refusing to print when a new set of cartridges were replaced. We have to take them out, give them a small shake and reinstall and sometimes it will print, but usually not. Thanks..

Any advice on getting the automatic document tray to return to its resting position so when the printer is turned off the screen it doesn’t press against it? Wish I could explain this better haha
I'm pretty sure I have an idea of what you're talking about. If the printer is a lot older, it may just be that it's losing that functionality. But if it's newer, I'm wondering if you reset the printer settings or if you positioned the tray differently may go back to its resting position.
I'm looking at this printer to possibly replace my very obsolete 14yr old Lexmark 3470. Will this Epson print both sides without me having to turn the pages over to print the other side?
Yes. It auto-duplexes both scanning and printing.

Marbled I agree with you ,I bought 3 weeks ago one and just returned today ,this printer is frustrating to use ,makes a lots noise for long time before prints after you press print on the PC and takes a long time to start to print, and again more noise after finish print, and will do this every time you try print anything it looks like is going thru so many cycle before start to print lot waist of time to used , FOR SURE NOT RACCOMENDED

The user manual that is only available on line at www.epson.com/support is 325 pages long. Good luck reading all that info to find an answer to your question.

I’ve tried printing envelopes from windows 10 and even when I chose cassette 2, envelopes it still tries to print a CD. Is there a solution for this?
Try the settings on the printer and computer simultaneously.

I have read that you have to manually (!) open the front (assuming it was closed) before printing is possible - so when you're not in the same room, you first need to go there for opening before printing is possible. Is that correct?!

The paper tray does come out automatically when you hit print .
It may be pushed too far back.
How do you get it to go back when you power off the machine?
I'm 57 years old and have used dozens of business grade copiers and home copiers. This is the worst copier I've ever used. It does NOT come with a user manual so you are left to figure out everything on your own. (Or if you have a ton of time to waste, the user manual online is 328 pages long. Three-hundred-twenty-eight pages.) I've had so many problems with this printer. Every time I want to use it, I have to call the Epson help line and they have to talk me through it. Many problems with printing photos....very complicated. The ink is so freaking expensive....$50 to $75 for a pack of colors. It uses up the ink quickly. The printer is heavy but the parts (paper trays, paper feeder on the top, the "flaps" that have to come out to turn on, etc.) are very flimsy and you have to handle it with a light hand (gently) . If you don't mind wasting a lot of time troubleshooting...be my guest and by this. I've owned this printer for a year and have purposefully avoided using it whenever possible because it is such a pain in the Bazooka.
I rather agree. And the software that comes with it pretty bad.
The software must have been improved over the past 2 years. I bought mine in 2022 and have had no problems. Using the online user guide does not present an issue for me. A printed version would be cumbersome.

speed is average, but quality is not.
Good review on all the options the printer has, but you missed the most important to me...the quality of the prints!!
Since this is an inkjet dedicated to print quality photos, itll be very vibrant compare to Epson Ecotank and Workforce

Some people don't understand as well as you do - be kind.
Before I watched this, I couldn't figure out how to open tray 2. With this video I could tell and really had to manhandle it to get it to open. I was afraid I would break it.

How to set up the printer to print online. I use to be able to print, but now I can't remember where to plug the cords.
I was going to use it for photos. Does it do good for text.? You probably use it to print out your Taco and Tamale recipes so you should know.
This printer is nice, but really sucks ink. Cost of ink cartridges is about 40% the cost of the printer. Not recommended!

On espon website, it lists all of the paper sizes for this printer. Look for Paper Handling under the specifications tab.

This printer would not accept any NEW EPSON INK after the original ink was used. Have not had a printer available for over one and a half months . Tried all suggestions found on the Internet. Called Epson twice, they sent new ink and it still will not work. Am returning the printer to Epson. I am afraid to even try any refilled ink cartridges. I am not impressed with this printer.
I absolutely hate this printer - the screen display is now cracked, nothing works properly when it tries to close & it seems temperamental when trying to print. I wish I had never purchased!

Did you buy the right TYPE of Epson ink? Because the number on the box is extremely important. You can’t just dump any old ink in there, and that goes for all printers
GARBAGE EPSON IS NOT THE SAME SETUP IS CRAZY SPENT 3HOURS TRYING TO MAKE THIS PRINTER WORK DON’T BUY IT TRY TO FIND SOMETHING THATS NOT DIFFICULT.
