John is mature beyond his years. Incredible interview between you both.

I camped five days and four nights this year and three days and two nights last year. I'm an aurora shooter and starting with wildlife but still fumbling with my Sony, nice to hear there is a guide that shoots Sony. Hope to see you there next year too!

Fantastic video with so much helpful information. I have a 6 night permit at the campground in July, definitely interested in plenty of photography time on the river so this interview provided some great info. Hope to see Jon there this year.

Excellent job with the interview Alex. As a full time fly fishing guide and photographer down in Arizona I know what John is feeling.

Thanks so much for sharing this! I'm a mod on bear cams and will definitely recommend this video to chatters what ask about visiting Brooks.

Great video Alex! Very informative and interesting. I used to live in that amazing state and always wanted to visit Katmai National Park. You asked your friend some great questions and this will definitely help me plan my trip to Brooks Lodge in the future. I'm a wildlife and landscape photographer here in Colorado and have benefitted from your videos on the Move Shoot Move Star Tracker. Do you have any recommendations on osprey and or bald eagle viewing areas/nest near Dillon Reservoir?

If the salmon are late or you are too early there are other ways to see costal brown bears. We flew across the bay from Homer to watch the bears eat grass and engage in the mating season. RatedXXX. The pilots got us in position to view bears from 50 yards. It was great walking with 12 bears on the tidal flats.

Good video. Only thing, towards the end, you were set up taking pics on the upper platform where you were not supposed to be. sorry - the rules are for the benefit of the bears and you are not supposed to stop along the walkway to take pics (20 min mark).
