- This is one of our first attempt to make such a video. This video starts with us getting the news of a giant King Cobra being spotted nearby. As we reached the spot and spotted the snake ourself, the first thing we did was called a Professional Snake Rescuer..
Snakes are common in this area but it was surprising to know that the snake we spotted was the rare and magnificent King Cobra which is an unusual rare sight of King Cobra, specially in the mountains of the lower himalayan region near Nainital, Uttarakhand.
In this video we documented how a Snake Catcher in India does about his dangerous and edgy job, specially in our case the snake rescuer was not equipped with any snake catching equipments which made the task even more daring and dangerous.
It was a long battle to trap this enormously giant king cobra which is neurotoxic poisonous snake and is also know as the largest of all the venomous snakes in the world.
The main purpose of the video is to convey a message that no animal or snake should be killed because most of the times we are a bigger threat to such animals than they are to us.
By no mean we wanted the snake to be hurt or let it hurt anyone else which is why we made sure that we release the king cobra back in the jungles where it belongs with the help of the Mr.Asif (The Snake Rescuer from Haldwani).

You are so fortunate that you saw this beautiful creature in your place. Its a great job done by you to rescue him.May be your children will not that much fortunate to see this species in future.It is threatened by habitat destruction and has been listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List since 2010.They are the only snakes in the world that build nests for their eggs, which they guard ferociously until the hatchlings emerge.King cobras live mainly in the rain forests and plains of India.Mostly in western ghats where and bambo forest.

Sorry to say sir but that fellow isn't a snake rescuer. One might call him bold or courageous but the way he handle snakes is worst. The glimpse from his channel proves it and we wonder that how such man is able to work as a rescuer and what forest department is doing. How tensed the snake was it could be easily seen. A cold blooded reptile can easily die in such situations.
You did your part in saving this beautiful creature by calling a rescuer but sadly he wasn't a good one.

Thesw are rarest of rare in Uttrakhand, a very significant report. So Trai forest may be a new destination for these giant snakes.

We notice one in outskirt of Kishangarh Forest century of Dudhwa National park, Palia Lakhimpur Kheri during 1992. Now no report we listen.

King Cobras are not a joke to rescue. The rescue method used, the way he was stamping on the king cobra, head pin all this is super dangerous. One bite from the king and he would not survive! King Cobras are elapidae specie which means they have fixed fangs and the venom that king cobra possess is Neurotoxic.
The efforts are appreciated but not the way of rescuing the creature. Also bagging a snake in a Gunny sack is more dangerous as the snake can be injured very badly. There were several other approaches to rescue the snake instead of so badly pinning it down and rescuing! Anyways, hope the snake is safe and released without trouble

Brother this wasn't planted , there have been many caputure of King Cobra in Nainital alone..you are right this is not the right area but maybe due global warming and the rise in humidity and temperature have made the sighting of King Cobra more common in this area..

That was the worst, cruel and most unscientific kingcobra rescue I have seen till now.
i agree with you, but this was the only catcher available that day in that area.. if we had not called him , the locals would have killed it..
we tried to call the govt agencies as well as the private but it was the time after lockdown where it was really hard to arrange a professional help.
this is all what we could do to save the snake.
@@SAMSKARATRAVELOGUES I agree with most of your arguments and I understand the logistical as well as professional unavailability for these matters in our country. The best thing to do in such situations is to give the animal free passage. Most of the times they will move away on their own.
