    I would like to see a few episodes of seeing how you use your graphs. I like the split screen best setup explanation I’ve found. Maybe a boat control video as well, ie on a point be down down wind and fish into it.

      In my opinion boat control is a huge deal that gets over looked by alot of anglers. Your average everyday bass guy doesn't pay much attention to it. Even some serious tournament anglers I've fished with before often times over look boat control. Not knowing which direction the fish were facing or how there set up on cover. Which way the wind is blowing, the shade of docks, rocks, logs, boats, trees, dock pole, etc. How to catch deep suspended bass in the summer time is my Achilles heel. I've tried things I use in winter like jerk baits , and a rig's that I catch suspended fish on, in the summer and it just doesn't work. There's very few videos out on suspended fish in the summer time too just like boat control videos

    So fkn cool...I've been doing a ghetto version of this on my kayak, armed only with 2d sonar: go over suspended fish, pedal 10 strokes and turn 180, cast/let it pendulum through the school. Not nearly as effective as having livescope obv but it's a pattern here when very few people are catching consistently.

    I am a new subscriber. I have a Garmin Livescope and I am very interested in your technique that you demonstrate in your video. I plan on using this technique next summer. Most of the videos on RUclips for the Livescope are on catching crappies, so I like the SMB angle. Looks like you have plenty of videos to keep me busy through the winter.

    I have watched this video a bunch. I am happy to learn what is possible with the forward facing sonar for suspended bass. I was wondering if you would share how you located the small you caught. Did you idle to find the bait and then follow the bait? Did you find the smallmouth and just follow them? I am just trying to wrap my mind around the idea of locating the fish to start the entire process. Any thoughts will be helpful. Thank you

    This video makes me so excited for the livescope unit I just purchased. I live on a glacial/river system lake and in the post spawn period I’ve always seen bass busting surface after smelt/ciscos. Watching this video and seeing how the fish interact with the balls of bait I have gain a way better understanding of how effective this technique could be. Also do you think a spybait could also do great for this technique? Or would you rather prefer using a single hook/soft plastic.
    Awesome video and hope to see more like this in the future!

    I used the PS22 last summer and had difficulty picking up the bait when virtually sight casting for suspended fish. Is the livescope better at picking up the falling/retrieved bait than the PS22 or are you using both to basically cast to "coordinates" on the graph and watch the fish react to know where you bait is? I find that this technology is awesome for jigging and especially ice fishing but also that I may have unrealistic expectations for open water. Your video with the live scope is what I was expecting with the PS22 and has me considering upgrading to it if it shows your bait in more clarity that what my experience with PS22 has been. Awesome video!, and the only one I have really seen where this technology is being used to "sight cast" for fish as opposed to most being vertical fishing.

    • @brnowak_fishing
      @brnowak_fishing  4 года назад +1

      Hey Alan! Thanks so much for watching.
      Honestly the PS22 is better at picking up the bait - but it's a less precise image...what I mean by that is it's a bigger "blob" vs the LiveScope which is essentially true to size on the screen (think 2d vs Downvu)
      I had some issues as well seeing my bait initially, but increased the gain slightly and that helped me capture/find the bait better in the picture. Also, make sure that your PS22 transducer (if on the shaft) is pointed perfectly in line with the head of the trolling motor, otherwise you might be missing a couple feet wide either way. If it's on the head of the trolling motor, I recommend casting slightly left or right of the trolling motor depending the side that your transducer is mounted on (think that PS22 is 6" left or right of the shaft of the trolling motor).
      For me, using the PS22 is more effective at long range targets than LiveScope - It is able to pick up objects better further away than LiveScope is, but less detailed and less target separation. When searching for suspended fish, I can see them ~100ft away with the PS22 vs LiveScope ~60ft away.
      The LiveScope is more effective at detail and target separation - for example, if a fish is off of my bait or very very close to my bait, it's obvious - with the PS22, sometimes fish look close to your bait, but may be 5 feet away because of the "blobbiness" of the image (again, 2d vs Downvu).
      I hope that this helps! If you have any other questions, please let me know!
      Benjamin

      @alandively3846 4 года назад

      @@brnowak_fishing Thanks for the response! I have the PS22 on a separate mount from the trolling motor so I can rotate the poll independent of boat movement. I'm not the world's most accurate caster so I'm sure that has contributed to my struggles. Additionally, if there was any sort of wind it was challenge keeping the bait in the cone when retrieving. Next time I'm out I'll try increasing the gain and sacrifice casting distance for accuracy. This video was great in seeing the capabilities Panoptix has for horizontal fishing and the side by side comparison of Live scope and Panoptix was very informative. Great content!
