I've watched tonnes of videos to try to learn how to do points and they've all failed me. This THIS video is genius. Jan is a pro and it's so well explained. I wish I could give you 25 thumbs up for how much this helped me
GOD.BLESS BOTH OF YOU LADYS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO EXPLANE THESE TO US ALL. LESS YOU ALL
You are so correct when you say that it is almost impossible to describe this technique in a book. these videos are priceless. Thanks!
I have an unfinished quilt because I am stumped on the appliqué. I don’t know why I am just watching this video but I’m glad I found it! Thx!!
Thanks once again for a great tutorial! Particularly thanks to the camera person, that can't have been easy but you made it so clear.
So appreciate the instructions for the inside outside points, never knew how to do them correctly. A most informing video, thank you for sharing.
THANK YOU both so much for teaching this technique. It is so helpful to know the tips and tricks!
Awesome. Jan is Great! I took a hand applique class more than 20 years ago and haven't used it since so this is a much needed refresher. Thanks!
Thank you for this. You make the innies and outies look like a walk in the park, and they will be with your method. Can't wait!
Thank you so much, Jan! This is a great lesson. I think I will enjoy needle turn applique now. My friend has always told me it is the best method for applique.
Thanks, Jenny!
Hospital corners: i googled it and its what we call "lit au carré" in french used to describe how army people make their beds...then more like an army corners for us!!! lol That is what sewing is all about: needles threads and a good chat!!! Thanks Ladies.
Boy oh boy this is great stuff! The frustration that this tutorial has prevented is huge! ... and it is called needle turn for a reason. Those longer needles make such a difference.
It's nice having guests but I think we are all used to Jenny and her tips and tricks.. The way she shows them and tells us how to do them makes more sense.. It would very appreciated if Jenny does a video on the stitch and talks us through properly.. Thanks for all the help you guys give us..
Jan is a such a nice lady! I am finishing up one of her quilt designs! I love her work!
I love you two! You are easy to follow, & I can learn to quilt on my own, instead of going to quilt clubs, etc., where I feel younger woman like myself are not welcome as much. I love your tutorials! They have helped me so much. :) :)
Thx. Have three table runners to make between thanksgiving and Christmas. Each has 6 stars each. Figure by the time they are done I’ll be an expert! Especially after this tutorial.
This tutorial is just what I need for the quilt I'm busy with now, thanks for sharing! Cant wait for part 3 & 4!
What a fabulous lady and she makes those stars look like a breeze to do. Lee x
Love this tutorial. I always wanted to learn needle turn applique what could be best, learning from the pros.
Thanks MSQC & Jan for bringing this tutorial to us.
So love the quilts you showed us at the end of this video. Stunning. The way shown here makes things so much easier. I did some applique wall hangings a few years ago and didn't know this way but they turned out fine. Would of been easier if had seen this tutorial first. Now may do some more THANKS
Great tutorial, thank you. I have had more than just 1 practice, tricky little stars 😊😊
This was much easier for me to see. I really enjoyed this and Jan made it look so easy. Thanks so much for the tutorials. ella
Oh, my goodness!! This is just fabulous! I really think I can now do points so much easier - many people have showed me how to do it but your method just "clicked" with me! And, I think this will be faster for me than the spray starch method. Thank you, thank you, thank you! : ) You guys are the BEST! Love these tutorials - can't hardly wait for my Cedar Creek kit to arrive!
I love this tutorial...I am so looking forward to trying this...I did have to laugh as 'hospital corners' was the only class I failed in nursing school!! THANK YOU JAN and JENNY!!!
Wow!!! Thanks I learned sooo much from this tutorial.... I'm making a X-Mas Tree quilt right now. I'm also doing a Tulip and House quilt. This tutorial will help me with the points..... Thanks again....
Thank you, Russell! Yes, we say a fourth - but sometimes a quarter as well.
Really good. can watch more than once. can stop and start video when trying applique for referance. Than you for doing this series on applique.
This is priceless !!!! I've been watching your videos forever....can't wait to do my Sunbonnet Sue (soooo excited)

I am so enjoying these appliqué tutorials! Thanks, Jenny, for putting that together. I am very new to quilting and have already made several from your tutorials. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the time and effort you put into them. I wondered about the quilt behind you. Is there a pattern for that? Please keep up the great work! I don't know if I could've learned to quilt if it weren't for you. Thanks! Janice
Jenny you are the best! Thank you for making these tutorials for us :o)

WHAT SIZE NEEDLE DO YOU USE N WHAT KIND I HAVE GROUBLE LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT NEEDLE THANK YOU LOVE YOUR WORK
Thank you SO MUCH for this tip!
This is a very imformative video. I love the detail and can't wait to put it into practice. Have to say, though...have you read the transcript as the video runs. Too funny!!!
Amazing!
gorgeus!!!!
es posible que sea en español, son muy lindos ,desde colombia
I love this appliqué video! One question on the star, can I stuff the star to make it puffy?
Brilliant - really enjoyed it, great double act!!! By the way, is 'a fourth' American? Never heard it used before. We say a quarter in the UK
Are you drawing the star on with a pencil? Or some sort of disappearing fabric marker? What should I use? Will it show when I'm done?
Jenny, I wonder what brand of sewing machine you use? It seems to sew smoothly and quietly.
Thank you show me how do that. I will try it . You awsome!!
You two are awesome together! I subscribed and have advised my niece to do the same.
At 11:48 she says If you have trouble with the fabric fraying at your points, just pull out your stitches and back it up (it's not really a precision art...)
I see that Jan uses a single strand of thread for basting, but she never indicated if she uses a single or double strand when she actually does the applique stitching.
Thats fun but I was expecting a star hole application.. ") ohhh!!
it would have helped me a lot to see the stitching line. I wish it had been drawn on darkly just for tutorial purposed. Nevertheless, this is a good video.
Do you have a pattern for the quilt behind you in the tutorial?
No sound!!!!!!!!
ни чего не понятно!
Вячеслав Антонов Напротив, все очень понятно и даже знание языка не нужно в этом случае. Джэйн объясняет как подшивать аппликацию вручную и как это сделать в углах.
